  1. I'm looking to sell my BSER Roll Pan, Hidden Hitch and flip down/up plate holder. Prefer to sell it locally but I can ship it if necessary. Will make a deal for all 3, I traded in my SS Friday and although it (Roll Pan) is a great conversation piece on the table I'm tired of looking at it. I WILL NOT separate the roll pan or the Hidden Hitch. Send a message if interested. Thanks DW
  2. That's awesome...just like shooting fish in a barrel with a howitzer. DW
  3. I know a guy up in Bay City, MI that used to do it and he had at least 6 styles that he would make, most of them I liked. But with that said there is a place in Strongsville, OH (South of Cleveland) where you can brew your beer on site. This way you can drink while you brew and they watch over you (hard to mess it up that way). It is called the Brew Kettle I believe, You make it one day (during a weekend) then you come back in one or two weeks to bottle it. You can design your own label and they will print it out or you can choose from custom labels they have. I think they are on the web and I'd imagine other companies may offer the same thing closer to where you are located. Last resorts, go to the Bells brewery in Kalzmazoo, MI and get tanked or go over to Wisconsin and tour the Miller brewery. I have done both and am waithing to head out to St. Louis for a Bud plant tour...even though I don't drink their skunk piss. J/K DW
  4. I like Chipotle Grill, I thought it was the best until I found a Baja Fesh here in Columbus. DW
  5. I had to leave town for a couple of days it was getting so bad with the OSU propaganda...I'm hoping for a U of M victory but I have been watching some OSU football this season and they are good. If they don't keep track of Gonzalez he will put a hurting on them. He has made great plays all season. Looking forward to some Big Ten football this Saturday. DW
  6. Hi there, You may want to check out Northwood University (Small Private College). It offers a program (2 or 4 years) called Automotive Aftermarket Management...everything you do to a vehicle once it leaves a dealership. If your parent's own a dealership they have a Automotive Marketing program. I was able to go to the SEMA show twice while I was at Northwood (I had to pay, but they get you into the show) and I had my job lined up back in 03 with 9 weeks left in school. That was when the economy was slow and a lot of friends from other schools were still looking for jobs after graduation. I believe the placement rating was ~99% out of that program. DW
  7. You shouldn't use Scotch Brite pads for cleaning the wheels, Red (Maroon) pads are ~320 grit Gray pads are~600 grit Gold colored pads are ~900 grit. 3M and Norton both make a WHITE hand pad, it is non abrasive. It works good for cleaning windows while in a manual car wash or cleaning off headlights. They can be found at automotive paint stores...the White pads are the least popular Norton part number is 58001(Bear-Tex) 3M pad is #7445 (Scotch Brite). I would try the White pad and vineagar. Dennis
  8. If you cage it make it like the cage Wheel 2 Wheel did on their Nova. Very clean and fully functional. But if regulated design dictates that you must go through the rear glass I would be hesitant. Don't want to hi-jack the thread but do you need a 4 point or 6 point cage for under 11.49? My uncle builds Race car header/mufflers and cages and I started building one for my 1976 Chevy truck but ended up selling it. DW
  9. A lot of my distributors (Automotive Paint Stores PPG,BASF,Sherwin Williams, Sikkens,DuPont) carry our brand and several other brands (3M, Meguiers etc) of micro-fiber cloths. The ones I sell have a Norton part #04402. Depending on the store they may or may not have them in stock, they can always order them from one of the warehouses the deal with. The one we sell is 16"X16" and if you use your hands for a living (Mechanic,Land Scaping) it clings/sticks to your fingers.---Does not apply for massage Therapists or Doctors-- DW
  10. Micro-Fabric clothes lift dust from surfaces and trap it in the clothinstead of scattering it like regular clothes. The ones I sell have over 90,000 fibers per square inch (70%Cleaning 30% Absorbing) and will absorb 8 times its own weight in water. My parents love them for their motorcycles and cleaning reading glasses. DO NOT WASH WITH CLOTHES, DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER OR DRYER SHEETS. Our product is Dryer safe but if there is ANY lint in the dryer drum it will find it and it will cling to the towel. They dry faster than Chamois material also. Personally I like Compressed air, water Blade and Micro towels. Zippy is good with motors and stuff I guess I can be the resident Micro-Fiber guru DW
  11. The flames look pretty good. I was up working in Munice, IN a few weeks ago and saw a black SS next to a Tool and Die shop along I69, I was going to fast to notice if it had flames. DW
  12. Since I am from MI I'll go with the Tigers...but I'm not jumping on the band wagon. DW
  13. They have added the motorcycle cops here in Columbus and that's what i figured too. I've seen them here and in Indy on a 3 or 4 lane highway walk out into the farthest lane to point at/signal the speeding driver over to the side of the road. The only good thing out of motorcycle cops is that the bike will eventually go to auction. DW
  14. I would hold off and have your friends check the Manheim auction, I deal with 3 locations in the midwest and have seen SSs running through. I checked the trade in value of mine on-line (Don't have ANY idea about how accurate that is but...) for an 03 w/ 50,000 I think it was anywhere from $12,000 to 18,000. I've been to several auctions and they almost always have some nice rides going through. DW
  15. I'm glad to see my tax dollars at work!! I'm glad to see the judge agrees with the guy and he only gets a 3 year sentence!!! That's the message we want to send to people? Thank God there are still sensible people out there who work and manage through tough times. People like this guy are the ones who probably want all sorts of government hand outs (Federal health insurance, well fare, etc) and suck this nation dry. ---There could be a remote possibility that this guys has really really bad luck and what I said is wrong, There is also a remote possibility that pigs can fly-- RANT OFF DW
  16. I just returned home from traveling out of town and mine was at my apartment office waiting for me...along with several other ups boxes. THANKS BSER I can't wait to install the pan. DW
  17. Hi, I just got home from out of town and I had mine waiting for me, it looks like you will have to drill two holes in the lower rear bed corner (for the roll ban bolts) and several small holes for the self tapping screws (to help support the pan) into the bed underneath the tailgate. I'm installing mine during one of the first two weekends in October at a friends body shop up in Michigan. DW
  18. Amateurs...when attempting to expolode tires/serious burnouts be prepared for fire. Great vids the behind the scenes commentary was priceless. It reminds me when we would get out the snowmobiles in the winter and pour gas into the snow. We would ignite the gas and it would SLOWLY burn off. By accident someone goosed it over the fire and shot flames ~10' behind the sled. Very impressive at night. DW
  19. I believe the guy that did that travels around the country and does airbrush/paint demonstrations (Is he John Cosmoski??? I can't remember his name). I think they just had him do a class over in the Grand Rapids, MI area. I heard about it while I was over in Zippy's neck of the woods at a golf outing. DW The air brush guy is Mickey Harris, he does awesome work. I got to see him in detroit putting on a custom airbrush seminar.
  20. here's the math i come up with. 38k sticker for 06 2wd extended ss with 345 hp or 42k sticker for reg cab 06 srt-10 with 500hp. in actuallity i probably could have gotten an srt-10 down to 35 or so but i got my ss for under 30 since they were blowin out the 06's. so be serious with your comparisons at least. and there is no way that you could in 03, 04, 05 buy an awd ss and put all the mods you did ( < Radix w/ 3.0" Pulley > Airaid CAI > JBA Shorties > Magnaflow DI/IO 3" exhaust > Custom tuned PCM > Toy Shop built 4L65E w/ vette servo and Yank TT2600) for under 40k. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It could be possible to have done it with a 2003 SS. I picked up mine as a demo vehicle, wanted a new one but it was sold when I returned on Monday...I gladly took the demo vehicle. GM discount, demo vehicle discount, GM Loyality ($1,000) and at the end of July 2003 you could combine GM discount with the GM card money built up!! So if you were lucky enough to graduate college and have a grandmother who had built up a lot of GM dollars by spending on her credit card you coud have combined that $$$$ with all the rest. My grandma didn't plan on purchasing a new GM any time soon so that was my graduation present. I give my grandmother kisses everytime I see her. DW
  21. Thanks for the pic, I think I'll go with retaining the stock lights and mounting them on the BSER roll pan. DW
  22. Hi guys I'm waiting for my BSER roll pan and thinking about the license plate lighting options. I have the Stylin Concepts bolts with the lights in them but I am having second thoughts on these. Has anyone installed these on a daily driver that will see rain, snow, salt (Got to love the midwest)? I wash about every 3 to 6 weeks in the winter. Will these bolt/lights hold up? Has anyone kept the factory lighting and used it on the BSER pan...if so pics please. Thanks Spoke w/ a friend who owns a body shop and he will be helping me with the install/paint. I don't plan on molding the pan to the truck for now. DW
  23. I had the oil changes and tire rotation included when I bought my truck, well I move from Detroit to Columbus, OH. On my last "free" (not really) tire rotation (The first one in Columbus) they say several of the lugnuts are on tight and they will have to turn up the impact wrench to loosen them. They told me if they brake I'll have to pay for it. Forget the fact that it was documented at another GM dearlership for the prior tire rotation (f*** morons). Rather than bitch I say fine, I'll never purchase a vehicle from them or take my truck in for any other service. So I can't wait till I get time to do it at my parent's pole barn or take it to a friend who runs a discount tire up in Michigan one weekend and get some new treads on. DW
  24. We all know the truth. Space Balls proved it and we all joke around saying "blacks the fastest or reds the fastest" to avoid the inevitable. Paint it PLAID and be done with it. You may have a tough time finding someone to race if you go this route so you probably will not need the S/C. I could probably find it a good home. I like Ghost Flames, the ghost checkered board hockey stick with SS at the back sounds interesting. DW
