Back in college I drove my dads 1989 Olds Delta 88 w/ the 3800 engine. Changed the oil every 3,000 miles (10W-30)...with what ever was cheapest at the auto parts store. Motor went 397,000 miles and all that was ever replaced was the timing chain. It was on the end of its 2nd transmission before we retired it. Food for thought, although maybe with synthetic it could have went 1,000,000 DW

I would go with the SEM brand, I work with their manufacturers reps, and have heard good things about the line. DW
