As of yesterday the Best Western had rooms for Friday & Saturday night.

I'll be there! I made the hotel reservations today!

I say don't worry about it! Even Chevrolet didn't know where they wanted the SS emblems at first. Here's an early photo released by GM:

In years past I've seen real SSS's on the track serving other functions. One had a bed-mounted jet engine and was used as a track dryer. Others were used to tow the track dryers. This year all the other trucks were NBS Silverados.

Ask and ye shall receive! I took these in 2003, 2004 & 2005. They do appear to be Victory Red.

I believe I found what some of you are looking for: Racetronix sells a 63 lb/hr injector with the USCAR connector that the factory harness plugs into. They can be found here. Lingenfelter sells an adaptor harness that goes from the USCAR harness connector to the MINITIMER (Bosch EV1) connector on the older style injectors. They can be found here. I'm no expert on these things so check them out yourself.

There was one of those at this year's Detroit Autorama. I thought it was pretty fugly in person.

Sorry to hear about your truck. It doesn't look like it will be too tough to repair. How did you and your friend hit the steering wheel, OH console and windshield if you had your seatbelts on?
