I know you said you wanted 22" and black but is this close to what you had in mind? -

Nitto NT555R 305/35R20 Drag Radials mounted on GM 5-Spoke Chrome Accessory Wheels that have been widened to 10 inches. NOT lightweight. -
Great photos Mike & Lindsey!

A long time ago I was told that drilled & vented rotors crack because the holes cannot be stress relieved in the vented area. Not just on Baer rotors but on ALL drilled rotors. It's not a problem on race cars because those rotors are replaced frequently. Porsche rotors (and probably other exotics) are an exception because the holes are cast and not drilled.

It could be worse. You could all be Lions (0-6) fans I'm not.

I was just typing something to this effect. Yes, the SS option was an appearance package on most 60's Chevys. The big, honkin' V8 was an option. There were also some 4 door SS's.

That's pretty good except for the Jeep at 1976. The truck listed as a 1919 looks much newer to me. Yes it could use an SS.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I was planning to pull the broken transmission out of my Impala SS on Sunday but got a better offer. My brother Chris and I participated in a Fall Color Tour in my original 1929 Ford. It was a very nice event with over 80 vehicles on the tour. I'm happy to say we went over 200 miles and didn't break anything. It was a much more successful weekend than the previous one.

I've spent most of my time on this forum since I took delivery of my truck in 2003. Those photos of the minor damage on your '95 are something else. Was anyone in that car when it was destroyed?

Welcome! I own an Impala SS also. Good luck in your search for a Silverado. Be sure to post a photo of your DCM beauties.

Right now I'm thinking it won't be much larger, only enough to clean up the cylinders. I believe my Rotrex is about maxed out with only 364 cubes. Thanks Ray! I look forward to seeing the 'burban in it's current state.

I don't think it will be a problem returning to an even greater level of insanity. There are areas I cannot reach with the engine in the way. Cleaning and engine building - isn't that what the off-season is for? TJ, Please tell Krystle I'm fine and I appreciate her concern. I'm happy to hear she made it home alright after her long drive. The truck made it home in 5th at a steady 2000 RPM (55 MPH).

And the 4L60e lost. You mean one trans a year isn't normal?
-
I don't want to talk about it! There's a downside to taking 2 vehicles to the track but only 1 trailer.

I've been told the 6.2 will only be available in the crew cabs for 2009.

Zippy, you're cold when it's 70 degrees, aren't you? AccuWeather.com predicts a high of 61 degrees for Oct. 4th and sunny. I'll settle for mid 50's and overcast.
