  1. Mark, I go out of town and this happens Sorry to hear you got rid of the SSS. I guess we should of driven down and kidnapped your ass and took you up to Zippy's Wish you would have picked something other than a Titan, but that's because I'm biased. (Subliminal messaging: Silverado Crewcab ) BTW your SSS wheels will fit on the Titan. Definately keep checking here for any Indy GTGs. We'll make you our official red headed stepchild
  2. I'm still going through the video... I think i have video of the run... but not the burnout. I should have known it was coming when I saw Franks truck in the staging area and Frank over talking with the other guys I really hope I do have it though... it would kinda make up for the other video mishap <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the run but not the burnout...only the remnants of the tire smoke We all saw the burnout while we were in the stands but didn't realize it was Zippy until too late The burnout was the giveaway. Remember... "It's all about the burnout"
  3. GOODTIMES!!!! I'll post some of my pics when I get back home again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wish I could of made it too! Looks like I missed some fun. I will DEFINATLY be there next year! Todd <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i really thought you were coming... you could have put a few hundred more miles on the rental! Or you could have just taken the wifes car!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Todd, you should have gone anyway. A good time was guaranteed regardless of what you drove Now as far as funny stories...yes, i believe we have a few Where do we start? Who wants to start?
  4. Nice pics, Rob Even that Pro Street "car"
  5. Plenty of things to do up here. There's a coast guard station, plenty of site seeing. If you wanna go driving around hit the lake michigan shore line. Haven't found any street action yet. Zippy how about an assist in that department? I'm already here, so see you all when you get here.

  7. Yes, we'll PM each other our phone numbers details from the other thread OK guys, Here we go. Super Chevy info Saturday July 15,2006. I figure get together about 3-4 PM. We can meet at the Hooters on west 38th St Hooters map Or Rick's Boatyard Cafe Rick's map Rick's has a large outside deck overlooking Eagle Creek Reservoir and stays very busy. Food is good too. Rick's is closer to IRP, just outside Clermont. I went with 3-4 PM as opposed to later to help ensure seating for a large group and adequate parking. We can leave there and check out the area hotels and streets for any action Post up here if you are attending:thumbs: Super Chevy Indy or go to this thread Linky Dave, good to hear you got the truck back
  8. Texans are very smart. Amy, a blonde Texan city girl, marries a Texas rancher. One morning, on his way out to check on the cows the rancher says to Amy: "The artificial insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today. I drove a nail into the two-by-four just above the cow's stall in the barn. You show him where the cow is when he gets here, okay?"?? So the rancher leaves for the fields. After a while, the artificial insemination man arrives and knocks on the front door. Amy takes him down the barn. They walk along a long row of cows and when she sees the nail, she tells him: "This is the one..... right here." Terribly impressed by what he seemed to think just might be another ditzy blonde, the man asks, "Tell me little lady, how did you know this is the cow to be bred?" "That's simple. By the nail over its stall," Amy explains very confidently. Then the man asks, "What's the nail for?" She turns to walk away, and with complete confidence, says: "I guess it's to hang your pants on....."
  9. I have a wedding to go to that sat. I swear I'm NEVER going to be able to make it to an Indy meet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Chad, I'll see you at Zippy's Ryan, We try and get together usually a couple times a year Last year we did Indy/Greenwood and Lafayette We still got 1/2 a year
  10. You know I expect you to be there ...NO EXCUSES I decided it might be better to go later in the afternoon than previous GTGs because of your work schedule and others, and if anyone is at Super Chevy who would want to show up The night action will be Lots of cars
  11. If you are coming for the Super Chevy Indy next weekend, the Indy/Indiana guys are getting together on Saturday, July 15th Indy GTG info If you would like to join us post up here

  13. A man and a woman, who had never met before, but were both married to other people, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train. Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly, he in the upper bunk and she in the lower. At 1:00 AM, the man leaned over and gently woke the woman saying, "Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold." "I have a better idea," she replied. "Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married." "Wow! That's a great idea!" he exclaimed. "Good," she replied. "Get your own damn blanket!" After a moment of silence, he farted. Sorry, I thought this was pretty funny
  14. It makes me happy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Porn...what porn? You guys been holdin' out again?
  15. I understand what you're saying Ray. My problem is with their solution to ban bikes after 7 PM. I doubt that the retail stores, that are not restaurants, probably do much business between 7PM and closing (9-10 PM) wheras the restaurants would be busier at those hours. Are they scaring off other diners? The shops interviewed seem to say otherwise. Bet they would really sh*t if bikes showed up from 3-7PM Sounds to me like the plaza managers made a poor decision or a hasty decision looking only at the smaller picture An old adage I heard: Don't interfere with commerce Steve, your example helps emphasize another point. We had the same thing happen with a Friday night car show here. Somebody complained and kept getting them moved around from lot to lot in the area. Here's the best part, the car club did an excellent job of self policing, cleaning up, no burnouts, no alcohol, asking people to support the local merchants etc etc etc. Why nobody wanted them...too much congestion and traffic. I'll bet some of those merchants wish they had some of those headaches now as the economy isn't all that great and there were some vacancies on those properties. The sad reality seems to be the people who complain the most, would be the least affected if they would close early on that particular evening. What has to be a concern to us (car/truck guys/gals) and bikers is that if you are found to be something out of the ordinary demographic, there are people who will try and control your behavior. I really don't like people who think they know what's best for me or trying to save me from myself.
  16. This seems to be a trend that is gathering momentum across the country. Never thought I'd see this. Hollister Independence Rally And... The Noise Police Unfortunately, motorcyclists account for about 10% of licensed drivers, so we will be singled out by the mainstream media/population for any cause deemed in the general population's best interest. Second class citizen status if you're a "biker". I understand that this mall/plaza is private property. The owners can choose to use it as they see fit. I would think they would be more interested in making a positive economic decision rather than taking away from tenants bottom line with more restrictions detrimental to producing revenue, as some of the tenants have said the bikers are good for business.
  17. Bringing this back from the dead... How about Saturday, July 15th? I realize that this date had been discussed earlier, but hear me out Make it later in the afternoon/evening. This is Super Chevy weekend, but by doing it later in the day, we'll be able to take in some of the night action at the hotels and have more people participate as they would be off work in the evening. I imagine we have some other members who would be in town that weekend besides Dave (BowtieSS) Post your thoughts (In my most irritating Dr. Phil voice ) "Let's Do It!" *EDIT* Saturday is July 15th not the 16th
  18. Now, if it was really that easy ... that would be so
