Sorry to hear that man, The fellow SSS'er who meet up with us at the last street legal drags in fontana got his truck stollen and striped the following weekend after the drags. He hasn't joined the site yet but it sucks to hear things like this. BTW hi's truck got totaled by the insurance company.

Thanks for the comments, this week I'll see if the damage can be buffed out, or if I need new paint. The glass looks like it will have to be replaced. Yup, there isn't a place in town I cant get to under 30 min. And I've got it up to 50.3 mph before

Ok fellas, Here is what my truck now looks like with the Goodmark hood. I know that there are going to be a lot of us having this hood, so I decided to do something different. I have always liked the way that the Stripes looks on the old camaros, as well as how the look on a few of the members trucks here. So I also got some stripes painted on, however I didn't want them to be bold stripes, i.e. whithe, black or silver. Instead I did "ghost" stripes. and here they are. This pics are of today while I was going up into the Idyllwild mountains to do some biking. Notice the coolent, I was having to much fun on the twisties and when I pulled over for the pics, the truck pucked out all of the water again. It didn't over heat though. Here is the front with painted Black grill and brake ducts. Know for the bad news. On Friday I was going to dinner with a girlfriend to palm springs, when I got hit by a sand storm. It looks like most of my truck is going to have to be repainted, as well as have the windshield, and passenger side windows replaced. everything got sandblasted and pitted. Its hard to tell from the pics but very noticable close up. mayby it will buff out but I doubt it.

this might be far fetched, but what about adding resistors inline with the light sensor. Afterall, the light sensor is a resistor right, so if you added resistance or removed some, then maybe you could get the effect that your looking for. It will take some trial and error or some electrical engineereing but maybe it could be done.... Just a thought

100k for 650hp and even better performance than the current z06 is not bad. especially when it will be able to kick just about anything this side of a vyron's ass

mine are black on a red SS, and I like them better than when they were stock, Pics as soon as I get the truck back from the body shop, I'm getting the new goodmark Hood painted.

I would rather see it with a healthy, blown v6 than a v8... unless the v8 is blown by a turbo

I was told by thunderracing (I believe cant remember) that the motron 60# shorties would not work on our trucks, they are not the same size. Is this true?

THis is what I got and its awsome for a work truck. A little to nice interior but the 8.1 and the allison work just right. My uncle does fords and those things are alway braking down, either injectors, trannies or brakes.

No mods planed yet, at least untill teh SS gets done. I would of had choosen the DMAX over the 8.1 but there was non in my price range and I do need the motor for my type of work. So gas millege is something that I have to deal with, comes with the work.

Yup still have teh SS, Its odd though that my work truck and my play truck have the same interior. Weird.

Its a GMC, 2003... 36,000 miles fully loaded 4X4 Allison 5 speed, 8.1l, Its a shame I have to use it for my work. I picked it up today at what I think is a good price. It basically has teh same interior as my SS, so that is going to be nice. Here are some pics. I took them at the carwash because that was the only place that had lights.

I have the lc1 and I have no problems with it. I also have the xd1 gauge to monitor and I have it hooked up to my efilive for tunning

My bmw has that type of braking system, coming home from adams one day on the freeway onramp, the high pressure power steering hose blew, leaving me with out power brakes or steering. The car lit up like a cristmas tree with all of the codes and warnings that came up. It wasnt the funnest ride home, getting that car to stop was a bear.

Man this bring me back to one of my physics classes. We had a 3 hour final and only four problems to finish, NOT one person left early, not only that but the highest grade in the class was a 38/100, I got a 31

I went and took the hole radio apart and didnt realy see a way to take them out. but I didnt take a long time evaluation on how to take them out. Since alligning them worked for me, I dont know what to say about your problem

Well, I figured that since I was most likely going to replace the head unit, I wouldnt loose anything by taking it apart and trying to get my cd's back. Well I ended up alligning them up again and put the radio back and it worked just fine. For anybody else that this might happen, it was really easy to do and it only took about 30mins to do. I also took pic if any body needs a walktru.
