  1. Nice! Very clean 100k SS!! Enjoy your new ride, and welcome to the site.
  2. I joined this forum in 07/04 after buying my SS new. This was the first forum I had ever joined, and I did so be a part of a group who felt as passionate about this truck as I did. With less than 200 posts, I'm sure at times that I have been viewed as a "newbie" even though I have been a member much longer than most have even owned a SS. I post when I have a legitimate question, or when I feel I have something of importance to add. Period! That being said, after joining other forums for my respective vehicles, this remains the most supportive, the most helpful, the most informative, and certainly the most enjoyable forum I participate on. There are no dumb questions, and why should anyone be irritated by questions pertaining to a vehicle they love. In my opinion, we don't have any big problems at all. We should be tolerate of all new members, and the questions they might have. If someone joins just to sell, let there be rules in place, and be happy that we may have a first shot at a great truck! Thanks to the Mods who keep this site up and running, and allow us this privilege.
  3. Congrats on your decision! This same song has been played over and over by so many members of this forum, including myself. In the end, this truck just has that special something that you know you will miss. You'll find something to renew the love affair with your truck, you always do, and you'll never look back. Been there, done that!! Enjoy.
  4. Just consider why you are selling it, and what you will buy, if anything, to replace it. I do get an emotional attachment to my vehicles, right or wrong, that's just a fact. I always buy new, I obsess over every single detail, and in the end I know exactly what I have. So no, why should sell it?? But, each individual knows his own situation best. His vehicle, his wants and needs, and his future plans. Just do what is right for you. Good luck either way you go.
  5. I think the guys are giving you some good advice here price wise if you really want to sell it, but you can own a SS and be married.
  6. Sad to see another one going up. I've been very fortunate to be able to keep my SS as just a "sunny day" vehicle. Hopefully with the low miles, and being mod-free, I can enjoy many more trouble free years. Definitely glad I kept it either way.
  7. I have to agree. Out of all the garbage I have seen done to a SS, that is truly the worst. Sad, sad, sad.......
  8. Plenty of days I think I should sell mine too, I just don't drive it much at all(21k since new). However, I can just about guarantee it that you will regret it. Something about this truck, it just kind of grabs you, and becomes a part of you. Good luck!
  9. +1 for stock size. Everyone loves the 420's, but I'm really leaning toward the Eagle GT's. Pics definitely help with our decision. Anybody want to weigh in on this?
  10. Seems as if silver ones are hard to come by, plus I would want a factory part on my truck.
  11. They have the Eagles GT's in the stock size, and to be all season rated, I think they are a good looking tire.
  12. Anybody running Eagle GT's on their SS? What do you think? I put a set an a 9-3 Aero when Goodyear first released them, but sold the car soon after. Plus, a whole different animal on a SS. Let me know what you guys think.
  13. You'll have a tough time getting a consensus on this topic. I'll stick with Shell, it's the only gas I've used for the last 10 years or more, and never had a problem. I'm sure others have used whatever is cheapest, and they too have been issue free. Just seems like cheap insurance to me, but no way to determine the validity of my thinking. I spend a lot more on beer, than I could ever save on cheap gas. Of course, I don't like cheap beer either.
  14. Wish you were closer. If they are in decent condition, you'll have no trouble finding a buyer
  15. Congrats on your find! Yeah, Arrival Blue is the best color, but black looks O.K. . You came to the right place. This forum is a great resource, and lot's of great trucks on here!
  16. Yeah, I remember you putting it up a couple weeks back. For that money it would be a nice starting point.
  17. Definitely hard to find, I couldn't find a SS anywhere.Lol. You know, build you a nice truck, but don't say it's a SS unless it's a SS. Too funny.
  18. Looks good! Might try to pick up an extra and give it a try, and save my stocker as is.
  19. I guess I just became the most hated guy on the forum. I retired 07/01/13 with 22 years service at age 48.
  20. The power of PayPal!! The only way I pay for anything. Still a shame that they have such piss poor customer service. I'd just get a refund and move on. Think how good their customer service will be if you have a problem AFTER the sale??
  21. With very few exceptions, CL is the wild wild west, and buyer beware. Definitely pisses you off though when they're using pics of your truck for the scam! The funny thing is, if this kind of crazy shit didn't work, they would stop doing it.
  22. Like the way the wife thinks!! Photobucket, if I can do it, ANYBODY can do it. Let's see some pics.
