  1. i bought the truck in nov of 04 , almost 8 years . im not trying hard to sell or hurting so i dont expect to sell it . my asking price is high but fair for the mods invested and im expecting to loose over half. imo thats fair for a tastefully modded truck, although im sure it would be appeal more with stock paint . im going to enjoy it this summer for sure , i havent even driven it in a month , but ill be spending the majority of sunday fine tuning for the throwdown , id really like to do well so i can get some satisfaction of building a capable street truck that just doesent go fast in a straight line . i cant wait to try the new suspension on the turns , i bet i surprise most trucks with stockish suspension.
  2. nice run man , it takes alot to get going that fast. lighter wheels will help more than nitrous. i wish i would have ran mine on radials instead of worn out heavy 22's . in the past changing wheels alone got me almost .5 .( i ran 18's with 275/40/18 and they weighed almost 20lbs ligher per rim.
  3. It really depends which one it is. I used to work for Gm and worked 15a for a while and did a few of thesewith the non digital cc. Dash is actually easy to remove the cover . Takes about 30 min if you hustle.,just follow the noise. Sent from my galaxy S 2using Tapatalk 2
  4. i am taking it to the truckin throwdown next friday , i still have lots of tuning to do . i just changed the oil today for the first time on this motor and now has 5w-30 mobile 1 from the 20-50 i used to break in and made almost 100 psi oil press. hopefully the 5w-30 gets it down quite a bit . i would like to take it to famosa (3 hrs away but good elevation ) since my local track (fontana-10 minutes away) closed and so did the local 1/8 mile which is about 40 minutes. id like to put the big waste gate springs in ( i ran them before and made 16 psi ) and the current ones to make 20+ and throw on the drag radials and take a shot at 9's . i also need to take the e55 back and see what it can do , should be a solid mid 11 car after the pulley and intercooler i just got along with slicks)

  7. been mia for a good while , i missed the last g2g and have been working like no other. i have not had time to enjoy my hobbies like before and it may continue for a good while . the only fun i have had is going shooting on some weekends im not working but cali has to many rules on that as well. i have been contemplating selling the SS for a while now too but havent posted it online as of yet . i have thought and ill be pricing it at 40k obo which is alot for a 8 year old truck but im not in a need to sell . Im open to trades as well but im looking for a boat if im replacing the SS . id like something fast and 28+ foot cat . eliminator, dcb , etc what did i miss?
  8. Google Sterling 1350 , nice motor with warranty. 25k for a race motor isnt bad but 650 HP only. I spent a bit more for motor/induction but have about twice the power and only need one cam.   9. They arent made anymore . Where are you located and what do you want to spend? Ive tossed the idea of changing it up. But I just put brand new 305/40/22 bfg kdw and had them powdercoated all gloss black. I had them in all chrome . Then powdercoated the centers only and now all black. There was a guy who had a fee sets a year or two ago. Me and Doug aka dentguy are lucky to have them.   10. good heads , good thick deck for boost but they are now dated . still for a good price id pick them up but there are bettter options now . back in the day they were the best.
  11. just a convertable z06 with the magnetic suspension . whats it weigh compared to the z06? bet they had to add a bit for the convertable. i got to see what will be going in the new c7 as far as top end is concerned, didnt get a displacement but i am glad the lsx is not going away , just getting better . i wish i could post the pictures but i have been warned not too as it could result in some big trouble with confidentiality agreements goes but i scowered the internet for pics of what i saw with my own two eyes and can say they are talked about but not seen. i know there are multiple prototypes and are not aftermarket . ill post pics as soon as i get the ok from my buddy who has them .

  13. imo from your knowledge on here you may want to take it to a good shop . there is alot for you to learn . not saying you cant alot of us did and it has taken a long time , alot of hard work , money and tough breaks and rebuilds. think of it like this Cheap Fast Reliable you can only have two , pick them wisely .
  14. normal is about that but a bit higher when warm idle , should be around 50-55 cold idle , 40 ish hot idle and 60 hot high rpms . sounds like you may be headed for a freshed up lq9 . im fighting the opposite issue , ive got over 100 psi @ cold idle.

  16. man i miss bowling , used to be in a vegas league and thursday nights were soo much fun . i have the clear budlight ball for shits and giggles and avg just under 200 for a while , high was 269 and i have never used 3 fingers , only two .
  17. that guy lives in san diego with the blue ss /sts that lost its trans on the attempted launch. he is on the site but not anymore , i have quite a few "smart comments" on my videos and i usually ignore them because its some nobody who probably is exagerating on what they have that will smoke you or flat out lying. anyone with any credentials should have enough respect to call you our properly. ive had some that i felt needed to be made an example out of , asked for a race along with a healthy wager and they have all ran or never reply. check some of the older video's with my same user name , youll have some laughs for sure , especially when one dumb liar gets into with someone with a clue that commented.
  18. Yeah pics do no justice . You really font see hotspots . I did all the rest myself and used multiple leds for places single bulbs were. I font like the e brake light I can hardly see it during the day. I just had to get 7k RPMs as ill be revvin this 427 to that after I see the dyno results.   19. ok an update , had a bad cam sensor and some bad wiring , o2 is good and cam sensor is good now im having a small issue with the a/c belt falling off but ill get it figured out i got my 18" boyd's back from powdercoat and polish and ill be mounting them on the ol 305/45/18 mt et street tomorrow (still need to finish grinding my calipers to clear them i did some changes , swapped my 11.7 lb springs in my wastegates for some 7.5 ish lb and from what i have seen 10-11 psi max where i was @ 15-17 psi so im happy with that. i also turned the methanol up with bigger nozzles. so now tuning and tuning and tuning im planning for test n tune soon but seems as if the local tracks have closed due to noise complaints and low funds
  20. sent ya pm , i may be bringing out the e55 if my girl wants to drive too. drove the SS around and been driving it more and finally got all my wideband and hpt hooked up on the new laptop and we started tuning yesterday , added more meth so ive got alot more to do .
  21. awd for go , 2wd for show jfwy built properly our drivetrain can be strong , very strong built 80e (without a yank ) built circle d 3k verter, custom x fer case , steel driveshafts , tru trac , stock front diff is the only weak point since aftermarket is non existant. imo the 3.73 helped too i thought my build took a long time but good things come with it. lets see it finished up man !!
  22. some of us need more than 5k rpms lol imo no hot spots on mine and i have had it for a while i really wanted the 7k tach since i shift a bit higher than stock gauges like 6500-6600 rpms and i have already burried that 140 mph too , let off the gas and it didnt start dropping for a good while , need to gps it and see what the aeroforce says.

  24. its over due to get another so cal meet together . thinking the same spots will be great , meet at beach in san pedro , chill for an hour then cruise down pch too huntington beach where we can chill and eat . bbq , potluck or just hit a restaurant . we may also decide to do another cruise after or just continue through huntington down to laguna i just dont know of any good parking for the big group. or we can do speedzone for the day (no good cruise areas near) maybe through the azusa canyon but that road is crowded with bikes on the weekends., we can also go down pch the other way from san pedro and crusie up towards malibu which would be fun and new . we could find good parking there as well as a barbeque we have to start coordinating soon with summer approaching and crowds growing will diminish our chances of group parking. i will be posting this up on performancetrucks.net and gmfullsize to get some more ideas snowballing . so whos down and which area would you prefer. im thininking the weekend of april 14th will be the day of the meet as its open for me and allows enough time from now to put this together.
