  1. I had the same problem with my suburban. No matter what I did to the brakes, the car just wouldn't stop. I actually was thinking of buying those vented discs from Stillen (lot of money).

Until a friend told me to try the Hawk Performance Super Duty pads. So I did, they run about $100 (which is a little pricy for pads). They worked awesome, the Suburban was stoping like a little car. Since then those are the only pads I put in all my cars. And by the way, they last 3 times more than other brands.

I suggest you try them, and also check your discs if they still have some metal in them.

    Hope this helps.

do the hawk pads give off a lot of dust?

  2. I think you would be better off selling the SS, then buying a RCSB truck, and adjusting the driveline according to your tastes, then it would be to take a limited production vehicle, and hacking it up like that.

    x2 and cheaper...

  3. Well as some know my truck has been in the shop due to it being stolen. Now my tags are due by friday and I need to get it smoged. The issue other then not having the truck is it wont pass due to exhaust on it and check engine light. Does anyone know someone I can take the paperwork to get it smoged so I can get my tags? pm me the info if you do.

    thanks, Ces

  4. funny you are going thru this. my truck is in the shop for its 5 round. 3 times in 16 months it has been stolen and the other 2 it was broken into. I have 3 kill switches, lojack, and it still got stolen. This last time they towed the PHUQEN truck right from outside my house. I have come to the conclusion that there is not much we can do. I effen hate this mother effen theives. Good luck on your issues and let us know what route you go. Lojack has a early warning notification that wife is thinking we should do. It pages, text or calls your cell if it activated like an alarm...

  5. all on how soft the sand is there. I go to Glamis and Pismo beach here in Socal. Tires need to be air down and pick your lines. I have tossed the idea of getting some steel rims and throwing some AT tires that would help the traction,
