  1. Congratulations, I stopped smoking cold turkey (I never was addicted just a social smoker [pack about every 10-12 days]) right before last Thanksgiving.

Main reason though was that I couldn't find the cigs I smoked in my town anymore so I quit out of hating everything else I tried.

  2. Is there any warrenty left on the truck?

I had a 7yr/72k warranty...it's being replaced under it...I am not taking out the shift kit...they won't even look for it...I'm going to try to get them to let me keep the core and re-build it (don;t it'll happen but no is the only thing I have to loose).

I'll probably be hitting you up for another shift kit in a about a week.

  3. Blew the tranny tonight. After work I got in and started it up, pulled out to the stoplight, turned right. I didn't even get on it, ran the truck to about 3500rpm and then shifted (or at least tried to) banged and then free spin. I threw it into neutral and coasted to a stop, tried to manual shift, no gear engauged, then tried reverse...it rolled maybe 3 feet then lockup.

I guess I was lucky, I start vacation on Tuesday so it'll give me something else to do (gut and rebuild).

    Sorry, had to vent.

Sorry to hear that...Is it supercharged??? Did you have any upgrades to the tranny??? I can't remember what you had done to the truck.....

no FI, just CAI, Zippy shift kit, Zippy tune, as far as powertrain is concerned

thinking about FLT or Rossler if I get it part and it's destroyed or just beyond the scope of me caring...I could take it to the Dealership but I am not even going to play the game of are they going to warranty this tranny or not (or should I?)

  5. 120, 3 of which work for the same corporation that I do

me in Indiana, one in Tennessee, one in Georgia, and one in North Carolina (soon to be 2, I'm getting moved out there in June most likely when we open the Raleigh / Durham market).

  6. Mr.P.... we need to talk, i wont rip on your 3 way battery terminal problem, as MonsterCable makes one. but you NEED to fuse your power wire BEFORE it goes thru the firewall as to not burn down the vehicle! you may also fuse at the amps but before any wire goes thru metal it needs to be fused! just a quik note. not ripping on you. also I LOVE the drawing!
 No offense taken, thanks for reminding me of that detail, it's been years and this morning I had forgotten that. I completely agree fusing is *critical*. I'll add-in the suggested fuse and the firewall to the drawing and repost it, no biggie I did it in Visio  I think I will also re-do the drawing to use a dual-post battery (like the Optima) that way you only need to buy a high-capacity 2-way terminal adapter...

    Mr. P. :)

here's a visual of the diagram misterp drew, you can't see the fuses but they are just on the back side of the battery

  7. I am putting "Yosemite Sam" mud flaps on mine...and a 'playboy' air freshener...That will make my truck a 'babe   magnet'...

Don't forget the confederate flag decal on the back window. Also, rip out your steel bed to replace it w/ a wooden one, then be sure to put a gun rack in the back window where it's visible.

For those hard-pressed babes, may want to also add a CB radio w/ extra long antenna, carpet and a buck's rack on the dashboard (8-point or better), plus an old beer can in the cup holder to hold her tuh-backey spit.

not a long CB antenna...dual whip antennas screwed on to the diamond plate toolbox

  8. Cool, thanks for the info.  I'm not trying to skimp but I just never really knew how much they cost when all said and done with.  Most of my past vehicles already had them so I never worried about it.  Just seems wierd that you can get a nice set-up for $200-$300 but the install costs $300+ alone.  Just didnt know that I guess.

It costs money in labor to hit all tte correct wires depending on window switches, heated seats, extra sirens, battery backup etc. We usually charge $25-$50 per addon module in labor.
