yeah i may do that. but revraceworks and I are going to see if we can diagnose the real problem first. id love to walk in and say "the problem is this.. right here.. fix it.." and have it be a warranty thing.

i have 2 with a slight bend in the outter rim.. which could be fixed. come pick mine up and get them for free..

I do want the dealer to fix it properly. I dont want to put the stock airbox on because i know that isnt the cause. What Id like to do is diagnose what the problem is, then go back to the dealer and say "you didnt fix the underlying problem.. this is it.. fix it!" after my talk with the service manager, I get the impression that if I were to come back, facts in hand, Id be able to argue a refund for the initial work.. yeah i hear ya.. 'a refund from the dealer'.. but trust me, ive gotten refunds from tougher people after proving them wrong.

No, I will not ship them.. they are too heavy, and too bulky for me to be able to ship them ( I have a bad back and cant carry them in anyway). I picked up CraigW's flowmasters over the weekend . (Thanks buddy)!! They seem to be a year or two old... no biggie. The factory welds on the mufflers show some rust, as to be expected with non stainless metal. im thinking of sanding that rust off to protect and prolong the system, and then hitting it with some black hi temp engine paint (since I dont think they make that in dark blue).. does this sound completely stoopid?

true, but i just know im gonna hear "its because you have that K&N filter on there...".. then it will be 2 days of argueing that the K&N is not the cause. If AutoZone could pull the latest codes, that would help a ton.. does the computer store the last codes thrown if the SES stopped flashing?

Light only comes on when its at high RPM's.. like merging onto the highway ( you know those situations.. ).. but then the SES light does turn off after about 60 seconds. I may have onstar run a diag to see if it shows anything else popping up. Truck Idles fine, but even around the town at 30 MPH or so, it just doesnt seem to feel like a HO 6.0L engine.. feels like a V6.

Hey RevRace!!! Wanna help an SS brother out? Its that, or I have to take it back to the dealer. The truck seems to not be shifting at the right time, and if i get it up to 60 @ 4000 RPM, you can hear it misfiring, and what not.. yet, if i push it to 60 mph @ 5000 RPM, flashing SES light .. which goes away if i slow down and let off the gas for about 60 seconds.

I just picked up a used 4x6 tailer thats in fantastic shape. only cost me 500 bucks. it has a 12 volt battery inside it that gets recharged via the connector you also use to connect the lights on the back of the truck. I have the round connector that goes in our trailer hitch to give it power, but the trailer has an odd connector on it. Instead of 1 row of connectors (one of which matches the chevy connector), it has 2 rows. anyone know a part, part number, or store i can go to do find an adapter to plug this in?

1) SS bading on outside is wrong style\type 2) SS stitching on the headrests is not proper 3) Front seats are not power. 4) Engine covers are not the same (and over armoalled) 5) Rims are not SS rims, so it cant be clone.. LOL 6) Looks like he put a set of front seats in for the back seats 7) SS's dont have chrome step up bars 8) no SS bading on the dash 9) No Body Cladding 10) no SS exhaust those are my 10 complaints.

what i might do is take it to a different dealer for the flashing SES light. this time, ill quote the TSB number and say that I know the issues, but it shouldnt cause the flashing SES. by the way, should it take a day or so for the computer to 'learn' new tables after putting in the K&N, and having the injectors cleaned.. etc? i remember reading that in a Truckin' magazine about my 1999 silverado way back in the day..
