ok the light came on, flashing again, until i reduced speed and it went away. seems to happen when my speed hits between 60 and 65 MPH. I wonder if it's my O2 sensor? anyone know how much that is, and where it is to replace it? other than that, im not sure what it could be .. OnStar says there's an error code about my emissions, so thats why im thinking the O2 sensor.

ok, this is going to be a long post. About a year and a half ago, I was driving home on Chicago's very own Dan Ryan, when WHAM.. this jerk ass slams into my bumper. his front end was pretty trashed, and i was relieved to see I had little damage. I got the bumper painted, and all seemed fine. Until that is, I noticed the bumper was no longer straight, and it seems my bed has been moved forward (bottom only as you will see) just a bit. I can live with the latter, but Im trying to determine how bad the damage really was to the back end. I slid under the SS and took a few pics, first one from the outside, so you can see how crooked the bumper is now. This shows what I think is a bent brace. Can anyone confirm for me that the areas ive circled should not look this way. Driiver Side Passenger Side In addition, look at the spacing between the cab and the bed I need some advice on how best to fix the bumper. I know I waited quite a long time, but I want to fix it. If anyone has part numbers of the bent braces, please post them, so I can order them.. this way the body shop wont rape me on parts. And for kicks, one more of just the bumper

i found all the items, except what is hidden in the tires. there are 3 locks in the room, and a laptop you cant get power to..

well, they didnt charge me on this call. they reset the error causing the light to come on, and said they couldnt find anything wrong then he proceeds to tell me I should return the air intake back to stock just to rule it out, and they can diagnose it better.. WTF.. my 1999 never had this problem and it had a K&N on it too. im gonna replace the plugs and wires this weekend I think.

Truck is back at the dealer. The same guy was there when I rolled in. He looked at me like "what are you doing here?" i just pointed to my dash and said "the problem is still here... " im waiting on the call now.. i bet its gonna cost me again!

ok. i like the IPOD idea in the SSS, using the steering controls BUT I HATE ALL THINGS APPLE\MACINTOSH. its just me.. im an MS\PC kinda guy.. i just am, and ill leave it at that. what im wondering is .. are there other MP3 players that can be controlled with the steering wheel controls? I am also thinking of making one of those tiny, tiny car PC's and putting it behind the rear seat, and MAYBE a display monitor mounted somewhere trick with a wireless\bluetooth keyboard\mouse thingie.. just putting ideas out there.. I was watching pimp my ride, and i thought lambo doors on my blue SSS would be bitchin.. but cost too much.

yeah, it pissed me off they charged me so much for what I think should be warranty work.. i mean, clean injectors after 45k miles? seems unrealistic to me. but hey, it need SOMETHING right? then on the way home, i decide to test thier work.. same curved road.. i floor it.. wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FLASHING LIGHT.. goes away when i calm down i go home.. really ticked. i wait 30 minutes. i go back to the same road.. floor it.. nuttin.. runs fine.. ill test it tomorrow.

the warranty covered the steering issue basically the warranty doesnt cover maintenance like cleaning the injectors, or changing the trans fluid it was 139 bucks for each item they had to do, and 20 bucks for a trim peice i had them order.

SS is all better.! They followed the TSB on my steering.. no more clunking. clean injectors, induction.. transfluid changd. she drives like new.. im so happy..

I told them less than 2 weeks. he didnt seem bothered by it.

Since my injectors need to be cleaned, im wondering what everyone's thoughts are on who has the cleanest gas?? Shell Mobile Citgo BP\Amaco.. ???

ok, the dealer asked how long my K&N was on.. LOL basically my induction system needs to be pressure cleaned, the injectors need to be cleaned and flushed.. and of course its time to change the transfluid. 450 bucks is my bill for the day.. damnit.

Its at the dealer now. They told me I have a warranty until about 66,500 miles.. I was shocked. when i bought it used, i did not buy a warranty.. at least not that they let me know of!!! im happy i have one, i was just shocked. They are gonna fix the steering clunking.. there's a TSB on it thats covered. speaking of TSBs... is there a site one can read all the TSBs?

well, i was haivng some high reving fun going around a curve, and then my check engine light went on... i dialed up the old OnStar, and they said a diagnostic showed an engine misfire situtation.. whatever that means. Its going to the dealer tomorrow at 8:15 am.. this is why i wanted a new one with a warranty..i just know this is going to kill me.. gonna be an expensive bill I know it. on the upside, i got an oil change today, and had them replace the fuel filter. the original one was still on the car, and i have 45,000 miles.

I work as a Network Tech by day.. try replacing the crossover cable that connects the wireless unit to the DSL\CableModem... it may be bad. Ive seen that happen alot!

the 'badder' rim was the result of being pushed off the road at 40 mph and over a curb. good news is the dents are ONLY in the outter rim yes, if you want ill accept your offer.. dunno what shipping will be anyone know the exact weight of one of these so we can look it up?

actually they can both hold air no centercaps and it didnt need a ton of weights for balancing.

where is the zippy event this year? when will one be in Illinois?
