  1. OMG I WANT..!! but im ordering my cats .. sending that check TODAY... i cant buy your fans this week.. at least not until my next pay day.. but i want.. .. no strike that. i NEED... damnit
  2. hey frank!!! you missed the transmission fiasco i went thru!!! LOL cant wait to see you back around the chi town area..
  3. Ill be traveling with the SS down to Alabama May 2nd and 3rd to visit some family and go to the Prattville, Alabama summerfest. If anyone's in the area, let me know and Id love to check out your SS. Other than that.. Im out.. see you in the fall. Have a great summer everyone.
  4. ive been running them for the past year. i can tell you i have not seen a drop in performance. in fact, on a flat highway, set at 55 or 65 mph on cruise, i can hit 21 mpg. i didnt see a drop in performance from my seat of the pants point of view. i am about to change plugs soon, i may go back to the NGK's, and see if my MPG's or performance changes. but I have nothing bad to say about the E3's
  5. Thats the SS from the new A Team movie!!
  6. HOW ABOUT BRINGING BACK AN SS MODEL!!!!???
  7. i wanna know the long term effects of this.. i know allballz was going down this road.. it would be great to run the SSS on E85 and not pay as much for gas, even if i lose MPG.. i just hate paying the oil guys that much money for fuel.
  8. check that accumulator valve before you burn the bands up. if its cracked, dont drive, order an aluminum one.. maybe you can save the trans from having to be rebuilt or replaced?
  9. Im a bit late chiming in, but we never heard if you solved this.. check the front wheel beiring hub assembly. mine sounded just like that and thats what it was. 144 bucks each at advanced auto parts. put the truck up on the jack, if the wheel can wobble whatsoever.. its a good sign thats probably what the issue is. its not a HUGE expense to replace that, but its a time consuming job cuz that parts a pain in the neck to get out, at least mine was. so 300 bucks to replace both in the front, but man, it DOES make a difference in the handling of the truck , let me tell ya!
  10. man i felt bad for calling, but i was like oh no.!!! i felt like i was all alone on a deserted road and didnt know who to call sorry for the panicked call man!
  11. i think i will.. sunday im doin the wheel hub beiring assembly on the passenger side, and sometime tonight or tomorrow i gotta figure out how to put that alignment pin in.. but i think im gonna be there
  12. no SES no codes that i can tell.. i dont have any ability to log anything so Id have to say no codes cuz of no SES lights. now, it ran fine all the way to work but at times when sitting at a light, the idling RPMs dip down under 500. ill see how it runs after i get home tonight. After i dropped the core back at FLT, they called me back to the shop. I found out we left out the drivers side bell housing alignment pin! I feel like a zilch, a mope.. a moron.. well, if thats the only bad thing we did for my first trans swap, im not gonna complain. now to formulate a plan on how to get my truck back up in the air so I can tap this pin back in. Now i wish i would bought my own jack stands...
  13. Guys, I just cannot thank you enough!! Words, text, praise on here alone cannot express the Bonjie's gratitude for helping me out!!! I am speechless to say what I want to say to you guys! Sprayed99 was always at the ready on the phone, and Mike and Brad pulled the all nighter.. FLT was great for showing me a few tips and tricks that we wouldnt have known and woulda bugged Danny for over and over.. My wife felt bad for you guys. She wanted to cook for you, or do something to make you all more comfortable. Little did we know, that trooper stayed up until 3 am waiting to see if we needed anything!!! I had to drive like a granny today cuz i had the old tranny in the back of the truck. I am brining it back to FLT today at lunch time. After that, I can drive normally, but not like a moron.. it was nice to feel that 2nd gear click in like normal. Again.. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU AND TO EVERYONE ON THIS SITE FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THIS AND ANY OTHER OF THE BONJIE'S CRAZY ISSUES. I may not say it enough.. but we DO appreciate all of it! -later!
  14. we didnt know it was morning!!! I have windows in the garage, but we were literally under that truck for hours and couldnt see the windows.
  15. i just got done working on it AGAIN LOL turns out that noise.. was the front drivers side hub bearing assembly.. WTF.. how did that go bad? well after looking at it.. its been going bad for a while. i think after jacking up the truck and taking weight off the suspension and then putting it back down knocked some crapola loose in that assembly, and now the problems shows up where you can really tell now we got a new part from advance auto parts and its back on the road.. I also found plug number 6, the plug wire was pulled off the plug.. ??? put that back on, and it started to run better, but its still idling a bit low and when i roll to a stop , it tends to die out.. not sure why yet. i think i forgot to thank the guys at FLT.. for a great trans.. hopefully ill get to really test it out by weeks end
  16. Here's my worn out ugly mug as a self portrait.. i couldnt even see straight when i tried to take this.. That, and some extra parts left over.. anyone know where these go?
  17. More picture updatesAnd the weary Tranny Warriors the morning after the battle..More pictures in a bit
  18. yeah man.. another GTG to do your shift kit and T Stat for sure! im wondering if the front drive shaft is not in the yoke properly.. what i mean is that 'the book' states you should mark the relationship of the to the front differential companion flange. i dont think we did that.. could the front of the front drive shaft not be in that yoke properly? like maybe it needs to be turned and put back in? Im just taking a guess here thinking its not lining up properly and thus the issue im now seeing. I cant see the trans swap now causing a front diff issue.. cuz we didnt touch the front diff!!! so again i come back to that front drive shaft not being in that yoke properly. i got a buddy comin over in about an hour with some jack stands and some tools.. a fresh set of eyes and fresh brain (he is a jail guard who works nights, or i woulda had a fourth hand here yesterday to help us) to see if we can determine WTF is up. I am in Mike and Brad's Debit!!!! and it WILL be repaid somehow! Mike, tell your wife I'm so sorry we kept you so late!!!
  19. GOD BLESS those guys ...... they pulled an all nighter.. it was one thing after another.... right now its in (been in for quite some time.. i just woke up) i havent had time to 'play' with the FLT tranny cuz im getting a grinding sound from the front end.. it SOUNDS like a loose drive shaft, but the front drive shaft is super duper tight, like its supposed to be. and now my idle runs a bit lower.. it will even die out when coming to a stop.. dunno what thats about. out of the frying pan, into the fire...
  20. Ok, here's the pics.. as usual, its not a smooth process at the Bonjie Bubble house of Trouble... but thanks to Mike and Brad, and of course Danny on the phone.... we have pics.. The old tranny has just finally just come out .... now to get the new one in.... Three trips to the store for parts, fluid, tools, more parts, more tools, etc..
