  1. Ben, Bowtie is in the mail! I PM'd you about it...thnaks again! Regards, Dave
  2. Sorry, I thought everyone already knew what these look like...
  3. I purchased a new bowtie from Shopman and so my 1st one is up for sale. It's a little over a year old and in good shape except for one tiny nick in the front under the first "S" from where I droped it on my dining room floor when I was polishing it. I just threw a fresh polish on it with some Meguire's Mag & Aluminum polish and I have it packaged up in a bubble mailer, ready to ship! The only thing it won't come with is the hardware to install it, but I'm sure you can email shopman for a new set or atleast for a shopping list of parts to get yourself! I'd like to get $35 shipped for it. I accept paypal, ID is [email protected]
  4. Lookin good I too am trying to acquire another set of grilles and brake ducts! I, however, only want to chrome the ducts...I'm going to paint the grilles black
  5. I have one of those too! Picked it up back in early November when I saw it at Wal-Mart!!
  6. I got a PS3 60gig from the G/F My parents gave me a Lund Genesis Tri-fold Soft Tonneau for the SS, a Mag-Lite, a cool Black&Decker LED Flashlight on a tripod (it's badass and will be very useful for nightime work on the SS!), a cool flip open Carpenter's knife and $50. My Sister gave me a nice sweater and button-down shirt from the GAP and my brother gave me $40. It was a very nice Christmas!
  7. Thanx for the info Brewz! I'm kinda hesitant to deal with Hall Chevy for anything because, they tried to screw me on a deal for the '05 SSS YOU ended up buyng from them! I know you obviously have had good luck with them, but it helps that you have connections at that dealership. I'll give Sharon a call...maybe their body shop is run by better people than the showroom!
  8. I'm trying to dig up some info on a good body shop to get my BSER rollpan painted and installed. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, while i'm at it, anyone have any recommendations for a good window tinting place? How about a good car audio/alarm installer? Thanks in advance for any help and Merry Christmas!!
  9. Funny stuff!! Merry Christmas everyone!
  10. I noticed that SuperBrightLEDS.com has quite a selection of "loose" LEDs and I was wondering if anyone knows what sice LED's light up the factory gauge displays? I was thinking I'd like to add some super bright white LED's behind the gauge panels to make the numbers really stand out in the dark. Anyone?
  11. I'm down as long as my ship isn't going to be out to sea that week! It's only a 4-5 hour drive for me
  12. Can you use this stuff in conjunction with an acrylic sealer or do you have to use carnuba wax?
  13. Welcome to the forums and good luck with getting the deal you want on that '03 AWD! Be safe out there and best wishes for your retunr to your family!
  14. Sweet set-up Brewz! We really need to start getting some Hampton Roads area meets going!
  15. My deepest sympathies for your loss brother I too lost my family dog of 11.5 years. He was an English Springer Spaniel, great dog, my best friend. Unfortunately, in his later years he developed a lot of medical problems (i.e. cataracts in both eyes that led to total blindness, hip arthritis and even loss of hearing). In the end my family decided it was best to put him to sleep to end his constant pain. The worst part was that, being that I'm in the Navy, I couldn't make it home to be there when he was laid to rest...instead I got a phone call from my dad after he returned from the vet's office. I was crushed... My family bought another dog, a black lab puppy we named Simon, a few months later and we've had him ever since (he's 5 years old now). Simon may fill the emptiness left behind when Chester died, and he is loved very much, but he will never replace Chester, and Chester will never be forgotten. My condolences to all of you who have also had to endure the pain of a pet loved and lossed...
  16. FC here, I'm stationed in Norfolk, VA on a Destroyer (USS Ross), but I'm originally from Mass. My folks have a house in Norton and I'll be there for leave from the 15th to the 26th of this month...
  17. I was coming back from a buddy's apartment and as I was waiting to pull out onto Battlefield Blvd, a black SSS past by. I pulled out and watched him get on I-64 west, same direction I was headed, so I punched it to catch up with him. I looked over and threw him a quick wave and he nodded and then took off down the highway. We cat and moused it for a bit, then I honked as he got off I-64 and headed down I-264 East. The SS was Black w/ stock chrome wheels, a black hard top bed cover, chrome tailgate handle and chrome tipped dual exhaust that dumped straight out the back under the rear bumper. Just wondering if it is anyone here on the forum??
  18. Norfolk, VA checking in! Just got back from a 6 month deployment so I'm interested in getting caught up on what all happened while I was away...let me know!
  19. I can ASSURE YOU ... You will not see a drop in suggested retail price (what stores are contracted to sell systems for) on the PS3 for at least a year to one and a half ... a new release as the PS3 will not see a price drop any time soon ... maybe some core bundles after MAYBE a year if their sales fall off, which they won't ... SONY has yet to make a single mistake in any of their system releases ... IMO Get one at the retail of $599 if you can before the rush after T-Day <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not true! Analysts have already stated that Sony failed to deliver on the promise of 400,000 units for launch day, saying that the actual number is closer to 200,000. In addition to that, subsequent shipments will be "trickling in under the radar" just as did the shipment I was lucky to get one from at my local Bestbuy. Most experts are stating it will take Sony close to 6 months to have supply catch demand, which means March 2007. However, I don't even see that happening because the PS3 gets released in Europe in March 2007, so supplies are still going to be low. And as for the price dropping, don't expect that to happen anytime soon either, because the PS2 didn't drop from it's launch price of $299.99 until two years after it had been available to the public! In my opinion, those individuals who think that $599.99 is an outrageous price for the system obviously don't know much about it. Being that it is a fully functional Blu-Ray DVD player in addition to being a kicka$$ game system makes it well worth the cost. Right now stand alone Blu-Ray DVD players are selling for between $999.99 and $1499.99!! My advice? If you can find one, GET IT!! It is worth the money! Just my $0.02
  20. Well, due to some unbelieveable blind luck, I managed to get a PS3 60GB model at BestBuy today! I was there buying the new Ice Age movie for my g/f and I saw a bunch of guys at the checkout with PS3's. I asked one of them where they'd got them since I didn't see them out in the video games section of the store and they pointed to a sales manager by the entrance. So I asked him if there were any left and he said he had 4 60GB's left from a shipment of 20 they had just received this morning!! I can't believe my good fortune! I picked up 3 extra controllers and copies of Resistance: Fall of Man, Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Need for Speed: Carbon. I'll let you all know how it is tonite when I get it set up!!
  21. I honestly think that eBay should forbid people to sell new game systems within 6 months of their launch...then you wouldn't have a whole bunch of a$$holes going out and snatching up what few units there are available to sell for 2 or 3 times what they retail for and leave the rest of us that actually want to OWN one SOL!
  22. Ok, I just returned from a 6 month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea, so bare with me... What is with gas?? I wnet and filled up the SS today and noticed AFTER I was finished that the pump had a sticker on it saying the gas was a 10% ethanol blend! At first I panicked because I was afraid I was going to screw up my engine running ethanol since the SS doesn't have a flex-fuel motor. However, I've been running it all day and the SS seems fine. I also noticed that pumps at stations everywhere I go have the same "10% ethanol" stickers on all the pumps. I just want to be absolutely sure that running this blend is ok??
