Well I was on the highway tonite around 9:45 and all of the sudden my check engine light came on! My DIC beeps and tells me to "Tighten Fuel Cap" and I tried that at the first chance I had to stop, but when I turned the truck back on, it was still there I've only had the radix on the truck since last thrusday and it's been running great so this kinda threw me for a loop! It was too late to take my truck to Auto Zone for a free code check, so any thoughts on what it could be?

Fuel booster pump/wiring kit and the fuel filter are SOLD!!

I bought a gently used (3600 miles) radix kit off an '03 Z71 Silverado w/ the 5.3. I had to convert the kit to the '04+ returnless style system, so I have the complete '99-'03 return style booster pump and wiring kit, as well as some other items that I didn't need, for sale, including the following: *Magnuson Boost Gauge w/ A-pillar pod, *Overhead console w/ homelink (for the SoCalDiesel Gauge pod install, won't fit on my truck w/ the sunroof),K&N Drop-in filter (brand new), Gates Belt (I went with a Gatorback), a WIX fuel filter (brand new, doesn't work with my '05) and the Magnacharger License Plate frame. Prices are as follows (they include shipping!): $100 for the booster pump/wiring assembly $100 for the boost gauge/pod $75 for the overhead console $35 for the drop-in filter (It's brand new, still sealed!) $15 for the Gates belt $10 for the WIX fuel filter (brand new!) $10 for the license plate frame (brand new, still sealed!) EDIT *= added some items I forgot!

I am definately interested in a GP for the aeroforce gauges!

By the way, call me Dave! Actually, the pulley on my blower is stamped 3.4" (the kit came off an '03 5.3L truck), and you can barely hear it whine at WOT, so a pulley change is definately in order...I'll probably go with a 3.0" Couldn't agree with you more about the GMPP intake, I love the look of it and the fact that it's a dry element filter so no more oiling!

Ok, so I got a great deal on a used Radix kit ($3100!) and Dynatech LT's (Thanks to Jim!) so I bought a few other goodies as you can see: Here's the finished product!

My Radix is going on the 11th of April and I'm planning on installing a Tru-cool tranny cooler in the near future, so I want to mount the S/C intercooler behind the front bumper to keep the space in front of the radiator free for that. I've heard that Joe Gibbs trucks have special mounting brackets for mounting the Radix intercooler behind the front bumper and that's what I want to do. The problem is that I cannot find a source to buy the brackets! I've tried Ebay, JoeGibbsPerformance (site is down apparently), google search turned up nothing.... I don't even know what the brackets look like, so I can't make my own. Does anyone on here have a set they want to part with or know how to make a set that would be willing to help me out??? I'll obviously pay for time and materials! Please help!! Thanks!!

Will this work in an '05 SSS that has the factory Bose CD/Tape combo deck? If so, I'm interested...can you post pics or send them to [email protected]

Ok, latest update...I talked to the Manager at DTP and he told me the estimated 21 labor hours is based on SuperchargersOnline.com suggested install time of 12-14 hours for the Radix kit plus the 7 hours suggested labor time for replacing manifolds and cats on a Silverado taken from his mechanic's database (he used that info to gauge how long the header install would take). He said that this is the high end estimate and that he will obviously charge me based on the actual number of hours it takes and that it could very well take much closer to the time I expected (10-12 hours total) to complete the job... I think that once all my parts come in I will end up going with DTP for the install, because they stand behind their work and even SuperchargersOnline.com has them listed as the ONLY certified/recommended supercharger installtion center in Virginia! So once all my parts come in I will nail down a date to bring the SSS in and I'll keep you all posted! Thanks for all the feedback and support guys!

I don't have all the required tools unfortunately. Also, I'd have to go to the base auto hobby shop and rent a lift for a whole day and find some friends that have the free time to help me with the install. All things I doubt I can swing because all my buddies have hectic schedules like mine that don't all coincide, hence the reason I'm looking to get the install done professionally! As for the warranty issue, I may have found a solution to my dilemma....I am a AAA gold card member and so I can get deals on their extended warranties, which cover the drive trains on AWD vehicles that are supercharged/turbocharged!! So I'm going to call them up and get a quote on that and as long as the price isn't outrageous, I'll get one as "back-up" for if/when my local Chevy dealer tells me to piss off when I go in for warranty work!

The "S" stands for secure, as in secure site, that's all. As for the IP filter bypass sites, you can also try http://www.otunnel.com, which will do the same thing as that proxy site and there's also atunnel - ztunnel, so you're bound to find one not blocked by your LAN admin! "Now only if they couldn't track what pages you visit... " The otunnel.com site does hide the actual sites you are on, they'l all show up as an otunnel search link which looks like a long line of gibberish. Don't know how man LAN admins are wise to what otunnel is though

I was more talking about accessory stuff, such as the A/C, heated seats, radio, etc. I mean, the dealer can't possibly refuse warranty work on something totally unrelated to the drivetrain simply because I have a blower installed, right?

No I told them I was going to bring a Nelson tuned PCM for the install because I figured that would be cheaper than having them custom tune it...

Ok, I need peoples' opinions about the quote I just received... I'm looking to get a Radix supercharger and Dynatech LT headers installed in my SSS and so I went straight to Dyno Tuned Performance (DTP) in Chesapeake, VA because they are arguably the best of the very limited number of choices in the area I live in (Hampton Roads area of Virginia). Now they quoted me at $1638.00 for the install of both the Supercharger and the Headers; The cost breakdown is 21 hours of labor at $78.00 an hour. This seems really high to me, especially the total hours to complete the job considering most people say they can do the S/C install on their own in about 8 hours and the headers in about 3 hours. My dilemma is that I want the install done professionally, both to prevent my local Chevy dealer from refusing to do warranty work on my truck (I still have 15 months left on the factory warranty) and because I work 6 days a week and don't have the free time or facilities to do the install myself. So, please provide me your opinions as to whether I should go with these guys for the install or look elsewhere...

Even the Mopar guys are stealing your ideas because I've seen RCSB SRT-10 Ram's with that same paint scheme (white w/ blue racing stripes)...
