  3. Fellas, I purchased my 99' Police Tahoe 3 yrs ago from Key Motors of NY and it's been fantastic! When I bought it the trans was replaced with a brand new GM crate tranny. I had the entire truck painted except for the hood and roof, the spot lights welded up and painted, new A pillar plastic and any other needed trim pieces including a late model overhead console. I then purchased a center console and installed a Sony stereo system. The truck has 190K on the odometer and the engine was possibly a GM goodwrench motor replaced by the state police before I purchased it from Craig. No documentation is available for the motor, but the trans was new on purchase, a very common thing for a Key Motors vehicle. As always the Police package includes LS package with cloth interior, power seats-windows-mirrors-locks, bilstein suspension and larger braking, high output 350, mat floors, rear vinyl seat, posi rear, cold AC, cruise, and delay wipers. The options now include: Sony headunit with 10 disc changer in console 1200 watt Sony Xplod amp 2 12" sony xplod subs MB Quart 5 1/4" separates with crossovers and tweeters in the front doors Polk 6.5" speakers in rear Z71 grill painted to match (not WT grill) Black projector beam headlights and black markers Red and black bowtie (not shown in photos) Lund Bug guard New and replaced parts: Both front wheel bearings replaced Front abs sensors replaced New front rotors and pads New FUEL PUMP and lines New TRANSMISSION on purchase (34,000 miles on trans now) New used Driver seat New Wiper brain Rear end service, gap check, new fluid and gasket Trailer wiring harness and hitch New Exhaust manifold gaskets New chrome front bumper, molding delete New Intake manifold gaskets (typical vortec issue) New Anco winter blades Brand new WINDSHIELD New 7 yr battery New Coolant flush, grease, and oil change New Universal joints New Hankook iPike 409 235/75/15 tires New Center caps NADA truck value is $4900 with 190K. 5. Dudes!!! This thing is sooooo su-weet! I drove it home and popped the hood for my bro to see and I was shocked! Here were jet coated headers I didn't even notice!!! I also saw it had taylor wires too! This truck was loved and babied with a lot of goodies. Such a cool ride guys. Thanks for the welcoming. I don't see a picture attachment option...I'll read up. -Matt
  6. Thanks guys and I'm detecting some BLUE ENVY! Or not, but yeah the guys with the black paint always think they're cooler and faster...just like the Impala crowd. But, then they complain cause they're waxing and trying to get rid of all the swirls. Oh, and no one with a black truck is an intimidator! lol All the colors are sweet, but I couldn't pass the deal on the blue one. Quite nice. Wheels are in the mail as well as a mess of goodies from ebay. So where is the best place to get parts and accessories for these things? Like the Impala scene has a susperstore and then thunder racing and mallory billet back before they tanked. Do we have a hookup with a GM dealer yet? If not I do for OEM parts. He supplies to B-body and F-body clubs, out of his Ohio dealeship. I'll update the member info and hopefully see some of you at Carlisle. -Matt needs a sig.
  7. Guys! I'm an Impala SS owner who knows the value of a message board when it comes to a performance model. I've followed the Silverado SS since the beginnings of this site and now I'm finally buying one. I'm picking it up today and I'll upload the pics as soon as it stops SNOWING! But as for this board, I'm very inpressd by Mr.P's posts and read them thouroughly concerning trans, tranfer case and front diff issues. Now I just have to learn all of the terms, colors, specs, acronyms, and must have mods, just like anyone with an Impala SS knows. Looking forward to hooking up with a NJ club as well, so if anyone knows of one, let me know. Thanks, Matt Yembo 04 Silverado SS (blue...until I learn the acronym) 95 Impala SS 99 Tahoe Police Z56 (For Sale!)
