  1. Thanks Mr. P. !! I've got dibs on being the retarded weird looking red-headed stepchild though!
  2. A truly bad regular cab SRT10 Ram driver could get slower than a 13.9, no problem. Most of the QuadCab SRT10s I have seen have been mid-high 13s, but our track is very near sea level. A good launch with a decent shifted SRT10 regular cab would beat that time with little trouble I would imagine...
  3. From what I've seen and read the RC SRT10s have traction problems coupled with shifting issues, the QuadCab SRT10s have WEIGHT issues.... I would think the RC trucks are faster, especially with a "good" driver. The actual SRT10 guys would know better though I'm sure...
  4. I think the argument over the years has been STOCK trucks, as they left the factory. The Lightning is a fast as itis because it came stock with a supercharger, the same logic could be used for an SRT10 Ram..... *IF* an SSS came with two extra cylinders, etc.... The SSS is what it is, so is the Hemi Ram, so is the Lightning, so is the SRT10. Modified trucks are a whole different ballgame...
  5. I think the 1982 Camaro is one of my LEAST favorites. For looks the 1969 Camaro is what I like best, followed by the small window gen2 Camaros. For performance I like the LS engined cars right before they went out of production...
  6. I did a googlesearch, the Ford Hurricane is 6.2 litres, 425 horsepower and 425 ft lbs of torque, and Rousch Racing has MODIFIED a LARGER version of this engine, that's where the big HP numbers are coming from. Nothing to do with the factory engine.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Boss_engine
  7. What the heck (stock) is gonna keep up with a true 650hp truck? I'll believe it when I see it, I can't believe for a minute that a 650hp truck is coming from Ford....
  8. Pontiac? HOLDENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holden has alot of cool stuff, time after time...
  9. I think the Tundras are kinda ugly but they do move pretty good. Good kill
  10. We have two SRT10 Rams in our neighbourhood, one guy uses his for CONSTRUCTION, he drives it in the snow, it's his daily worksite truck!
  11. That wasn't a CCSB if it's the same PassTime I watched. It was a Hemi powered MEGACABB. The big huge mutha extended cab 4 door! It had a lady on the panel guessing times, she said she worked on an alcohol car or something, her guesses were so far out to lunch we were dying laughing! Some of the contestants just have NO clue....?
  12. Well, I'll have to say that an SRT10 has a VERY distinct sound. It wouldn't be mistaken for a truck with "V8 muscle" or anything of the sort. If you get a chance to hear one you'll know instantly what I mean.... I like alot of the Mustang exhaust tones I've heard. The SRT8s are a pretty nice sounding car. My wife's Magnum is just an R/T but sounds decent, it's got BB tips with the resonators removed.
  13. Mine has a cage good until 8.50. Why do you want us to go away?
  14. My buddy had the OPPOSITE experience. He pulled beside a yellow "Rumble Bee" with Hemi emblems, he said it sounded "weird". My buddy had driven the Rumble Bees and figured he could beat it, especially since it had big wheels and tires... he thought his 4.7 Dak was a good match anyways. He and the Rumble Bee were revving their engines a bit, my buddy in a 4.7 Dakota Quad Cab. The light turned green, and he said his jaw DROPPED. The yellow Rumble Bee took off, my buddy is a diehard drag racer, he said he swore the truck ran a 12 or 13. His 15 second truck was blocks behind staring in wonder. He saw the truck gassing up many blocks later so he pulled in and asked the guy what he had done to it. The owner of the yellow truck said it was "stock". A short disbelieving argument later the guy popped his hood. His truck was an SRT10 painted up exactly like a Rumble Bee, it had aftermarket wheels but even had Hemi emblems.
  15. I have no idea what the Dodge was, if it was or wasn't an SRT10, etc etc... Colors can be mistaken or misjudged, but no SRT10 looks tan IMO, but that's aside from the point. The SRT10 shoulda blown past if it was only a length behind, but who knows, anything CAN happen. I just have one comment to make, and you SRT10 guys can chime in if I'm wrong.... "Sounded like a "MUSCLE TRUCK"? Maybe I'll get picked on for saying this, but the SRT10 doesn't sound like a "muscle truck" at all to me dead stock...? It sounds kinda weird, but not muscular. Not to me anyways..?? An SRT10 sounds UNIQUE maybe.....
  16. You Dodge Ram guys better keep your eyes out for the Dakota R/T guys, they have their poop all in one scoop! Lotsa 11 second Dakota R/Ts!
  17. Huh?? I've street raced for 25+ years, I don't care who knows what I have or what I have run. The "flash the green stuff" is kinda funny in a street racing crowd where double digit times are the norm. I've raced 10 second cars and we didn't care about "the green stuff", we just raced, and had fun. A guy at the track who "doesn't show his timeslips" is odd, as everybody there can read the board, can they not? Doesn't matter what brand the trucks are.
  18. Nothing at all to do with me being a "MoPar guy". I'm pretty sure I've owned and built alot more Chevys than you! I think the 11 second radixs are alot rarer than the norm, IMO anyways. Same goes for the Lightning with just a pulley. High 12s for a truck is nothing to sneeze at IMO. The fact that guys can run quicker is astounding, but a high 12 second truck is nothing to look down one's nose at..?
  19. I keep trying to kill the Hemi in my wife's Magum, but it has all sorts of modern limiters! Good kill on the Dawrdge, I think it's pretty respectable beating a reg cab Hemi with a crew cab SSS...
  20. Most radix blown SSs don't run high 11s- low 12s on street tires do they? I think a pullied Lightning and a radix blown SSS would be high 12s low 13s maybe, but 11s?
  21. Couldn't agree more. Great run!
  22. Iron heads can make alot of power. The biggest downside is the maximum port cfm compared to the newer big buck heads, but for street/strip stuff they were pretty danged good in their day....
  23. Haha! I took my chassis builder to the Portland Swap Meet, we crossed the border and got on the I-5, and as the speedo in my motorhome started to go past 75mph he started complaining and asking me to slow down! LOL He builds 8 second street cars but didn't like 75+mph in a motorhome! I've had my motorhome over 90mph, which isn't easy, it's like pushing a wall through the wind.....
  24. The problem is some of those "clones" are regular cabs, some are 2wd, some are Colorados, and I bet there are even a few Dodge SS clones now ....?
