Just wanted to say that the swap is not all that bad, the couple of odd things that I wasn't expecting was that the stock driveshaft has 1350 u-joints and a th400 slip yoke works like a charm. The other thing was that for TC to Flywheel clearance, I had to use a 1/4" spacer plate between the block and bellhousing. Without it, the TC was putting pressure on the Flywheel, causing it to flex toward the crank slightly, I dropped it a couple of times to double check that the TC was fully seated in the pump just to reinstall it with the same results. I even called the local Trans guy (he's a neighbor of mine) over to get his take on it. He happened to have the spacer at his shop and got me fixed up. All is good, Trans feels great so far, guess time will tell.

Oh I don't know, how's 5 bucks sound? lol Guess it all depends on how long it takes you to knock one out.

Corsa has a bunch of small channels running around like a maze inside that shell. With the amount of damage that those mufflers have, I would be willing to bet that they have crushed channels and will be rattle traps!

I snagged an old cluster out of a JY with a cracked face and desoldered one of the stepper motors and replaced the bad on in my truck (my 03 Sierra) It took 20 minutes and it worked like a champ. Total cost 15 bucks. You can also buy the motors on ebay for cheap.

Damn, they must have just dumped it off the trailer at hwy speed, seen that happen before. That sucks, but there are worse things in life. Take the money and start over on another SS. I'd be happy that it was a total loss, if someone steals mine, I never want to see it again. You know they put 10 years of abuse on it the first hour they had it.

buy the LPP headers w/o the Y-pipe and have a stainless collector back setup built. for the record, I used a set of OBX headers made for a half ton on my old HD with no issue.

You had better have very strong signals from your local stations or just not listen to anything but your iPod or XM. I thought I'd be fine listening to my iPod all the time, but what about catching a football game while on the road from time to time, I can't have missing the Tigers over a smooth cowl. lol. I tried the antenna under the hood as well as the powered antenna under the dash trick. Both resulted in shity reception. The antenna under the hood worked better and is free. I put my antenna back in the stock location, didn't make a big enough difference in looks to warrant the agrivation IMO.
