  1. Inline won't work with "returnless" The Magnacharger kit with the 255 is by far the most bolt in kit available.
  2. I said in a thread not to long ago that I thought that would look killer... I was right, I love it.
  3. I scuffed them up and cleaned them up good, then used a self etching primer. For the paint, it's a basecoat clearcoat (rattle can) from paintscratch.com, buffed out pretty well and has held up for a few months without problem. Just a tip, drill out the plastic rivets that hold the grilles in place and then go to the auto parts HELP section and pick up a pack of oem style clips. Mine are holding well and will be easy to remove again if I ever need to repaint them.
  4. Then it should be no sweat... this was my second magnacharger install, the first was a 112HH on my last truck, and I did everything at once, blower to full exhast. I learned my lesson after taking a few days working on it evenings to get it done. This time, I installed all the little things first, headers and exhaust, the h/e, the pump, along with the wireing hoses, etc. When the time came, I installed the fuel pump and hot wire kit the night before and knocked out the actual blower install in a few hours. Get as familiar as you can with the instalation manual (if they have one put together by the time you order your kit) and make sure you have all the tools you need. Have them all ready to go and the install will go slick.
  5. Your gonna love the install on this thing the front/front design to eliminate the J-tube is the best thing Magnuson could have done. Only one manifold bolt needs a universal to tighten and everything is so easy to reach behind the unit it's great! Not sure about the alternator bracket on the TBSS, but if it needs trimming, trim extra... it won't hurt and it's worth it to not risk snapping off your oill press. sending unit. When the manifold is in place, the OPSU is very close. Congrats
  6. I just love a smokey burnout, but I have wished I had AWD from time to time... but naaahhhhh, smoke em if ya got em
  7. Using a dual 3" inlet muffler would allow you to use a small piece of 3" to slip over the stock pipe and into the muffler inlet making a good transition and no restriction in pipe size. The OD of the exhaust inlets are 2.75" and the outlets are the same size, but as stated only one of the exits is actually flowing. That's crazy to me, what is the point of having all the healthy piping under the truck only to have it chocked down at one spot.
  8. well being 4" is the biggest difference, but the "sound canceling" chambers inside the shell are different lengths and size than the gas models and the body is round, not oval. I'm sure it's tuned for different frequencies, but that is beyond me.
  9. They look black in pics, but my ducts and bowtie are Cyber Gray Metalic
  10. Lts, No cats and a 4" Corsa Duramax exhaust on my SS. It has a very similar sound to a Corsa sport. If I keep the rpms around or below 3000 then it is suprisingly tame.... but at 3200rpm it gets obnoxious, to the point that i get out of it as I overtake someone on their left just to be nice... now if they happen to try and run me and are on that side, have mercy on their ear drums
  11. That 4100 looks way cool, good job. I guess you decided to hold onto that truck a while..... Good move IMO. I've got the P4000 and I hid my switch in the top cubby of the center console. I consider it kind of a vallet switch, if anyone ever as to drive my truck I don't want them watchin a damn movie, haha. But, I would like to see that diagram as well. Maybe I can keep the switch on the power to the relay and then I could disable the DVD feature as I choose.
  12. This is what the Y-pipe merge looks like. And this is what the full exhaust looks like off of the truck.
  13. You just wanna see me blow this 4l65 on film, lol
  14. I don't want my exhaust to ever be a restriction. My goal is 500 rwhp eventualy on this setup and I think 3" would be a little bit of a restriction in that range. I know it can be done, but I think 3" would hold you back just a bit.... It is overkill for 5lbs no doubt. On a side note, I tidied up the engine bay wiring some this morn, It's no Grippy bay, but it looks pretty factory and that's the point for me. Got my boost and FP gauges back up and running... time to go play a little
  15. At this low boost, the blower is silent! The TVS doesn't whine like the old models do.
  16. Just swapped my Dakotal Digital gauge mount for the SoCal version and added the stealth option ... No more giving them hints as they aproach from the rear, lol. I didn't reaalize it was so visible through the rear window.. not anymore.
  17. 2006 Silverado SS Stock LQ9 Vette Servo Only 4L65E :eek2: TVS1900 3.4" Pulley TBSS H/E LPP Longtubes 4" Corsa 48# Bosch Injectors Outlaw CAI LS2 90mm TB Intank Walbro 255 w/ Hot Wire kit Started the blower instal about 7pm, took a nap between 4am to 7am, finished up about 1pm today. I'm a tired, but happy man! This is just the "get it running" setup. Hoping to see 5-6 lbs, saw 4lbs at part throttle on the trip around the block. Right now I got my tunner to put most of my TM back in to try and save the 65, so that sucks, but it does feel like it pulls pretty hard even at a FAT 10.8 AFR. Gonna do a 4L80 swap and then I've got a 3.1" and a 3.0" pulley on hand for 8-10 lbs hopefully. Think I've got a vac leak as well, you'll see after I rev, it stays at 1800rpm for a couple seconds before going to idle. Whew... one step at a time.
  18. I like the side by side, straight out the back option.
  19. I've run dumps before, just feel like something is missing, or incomplete. This is the only pic I have of mine... It's an MBRP stainless 4" turdown behind the rear tire... Kinda hides the fact that I'm running sewer pipe for my exhaust, haha. It's a little different and I like it, but i'm sure it's not for everone. Of the options you posted, I like the dual exit behind the rear tire.
  20. That's a terrible problem to have.... congrats
  21. Yeah, it's for the v in the electrode for sure, I just have always been anti gimick spark plugs. I figure I'll gap em at 035 and give them a shot.
  22. I bought a set of TR6's to go in with the blower, but when I got home I realized that they are TR6 V-Power plugs... should Ireturn them for the standard TR6's?
