  1. That was a pic of the ZR1 calipers, they are BREMBO I believe.
  2. Man it would be nice to mount up a set of these Maybe I'll paint mine blue when I get them as a front
  3. Yeah I think I may be facing multiple problems as well. Steering and diff and maybe other front end components. The shocks are bilstein, so they should be good to go. The thing is that it seemed to happen over a short period. The previous owner Justin took really good care of it. I have taken good care as well and have not been ragging on it or anything. The only difference is that I drive it more frequently. I just think 30k miles was the magic number.
  4. So let me make sure I, understand. There is a bracket to put the 6 pistons on the back Are they the same brackets for the front or different(i assume different) Where do I get these? Thanks
  5. Man, was your truck making alot of noise? My truck only has 32k on it
  6. I am interested please send me paypal please
  7. Thanks, I will add that to my list, putting it back on the lift on Wednesday. Please keep the suggestions coming!!
  8. Where yours 24x10, can you post a pic, thanks. WYOSTUNA, didn't meen to hijack your thread man, just thought it would help us both
  9. I'm chasing one too. I grabbed the torsion bar in the area you described but didnt feel anything loose. Any other pointers? Can you check out my post and tell me if it matches your symptoms? http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50992 Thanks
  10. I went with weathertech liners in black. They are awesome for keeping your carpet in brand new condition even through spills. This is the third vehicle I have used them in and they are always an exact fit. If you like soft you can put a cheap mat on top, but they look so good by themselves. http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvproduct...oiceIds=134,667
  11. Thanks, I hope they dont stick out of the fender in the front
  12. I have a 2/2 drop and am wondering if my 24x10 rims with 305/35s will fit without rubbing. I have been to lazy to bolt them up as I currrently have some another issue with my truck. Hopefully my question will be answered with yours.
  13. Thanks for the input, I will probably pull the starter and check it out. Did the sound resemble a driveline noise? Was there any difference when you started the truck, symptoms? Thanks
  14. Update! Still need Help! I have searched the forum and found a couple of possibilities. Front Diff, Wheel Cylinder, crossmember. I think that i have eliminated the crossmember as i can not see if loose anywhere. I was going to drain the diff fluid today but decided to do some more testing to avoid wasting the oil in the event that I require a front diff change. I placed the truck in gear and gave it some gas while lightly applying brakes. At first there was nothing then the noise sounded as if it was coming front the front diff, almost like the axle spun freely for a split second then caught. Please any info would be greatly appreciated Rob
  15. Its sounds like there is a shoe tubbling in the dryer. I'm starting to lean towards the front diff. Any other Ideas?
  16. I'm in Jax too, on the west side off of Argyle. Any other Jax guys around?
  17. Thanks for the shout out Justin. The truck is awesome and I love it. In that picture I had just returned from doing a track day at Daytona International speed ways road course. It was awesome going 180mph legally. The truck is doing some truck duties with the bike on back, but I have a motorcycle trailer that I used to pull with my Yukon. I cant bring myself to hook it up to the SS. I figure it made it 5 years with Justin without pulling a trailer why start now. Here is a pic of me on the bike.
  18. I think we have the same problem. I just posted today as well, check my thread. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50992 Good luck I'll keep an eye on your thread. Oh here is another thread talking about the same thing. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...=49362&st=0
  19. Wouldnt I feel it more in the steering while while turning? And there is only 30000miles on it. How often do those things go out? Thanks for the input.
  20. Hi Everyone Rob here, I have been a member for a couple of years and I bought Justin Lamana's 2003 SS a couple of months ago. Truck has been awesome and Justin did a great job on it and it was well maintained. MY Problem: During acceleration there is a rattling\clanking coming from the driveline. It seem to be concentrated in the front but sometimes I think I hear it mid way back. You also here a clank during most harder shifts. THE NOISE STARTED AS A CLANK AT SHIFT ABOUT 1.5 MONTHS AGO AND HAS NOW TURNED INTO A RATTLING during shifts and acceleration. My Troubleshooting: 1. I though at first that it was probably a U-joint so I got under the truck and checked them out and they seemed secure. 2. I next went to the exhaust, its got the gibson set up with some welded in dumps and there is a section mid ways back that barely contact the frame. I put the truck on the left and put some padding under the contact point to remove this from the suspect list. 3. While on the lift I inspected the motor mounts the exhaust and checked the play in the u joints and the transfer case. The transfer case seemed to have a little slack, but I am not verry familiar with awd/4x4 components. My Theories 1. Cats? ( they are hollowed out) 2. Torsional bars need adjustment? (dont know how or when you would do this) 3. Motor Mount or Trans mount? ( I visually inspected them, but that doesnt say much) 4. Some how my driveline is out of alignment or balance. (truck was lowered by Justin and he never had problems) 5. Transfer case needs replacement or servicing 6. Transmission shaft (it shifts fine in all gears) Catalyst I have made no changes to the truck since purchasing it, THE NOISE STARTED AS A CLANK AT SHIFT ABOUT 1.5 MONTHS AGO AND HAS NOW TURNED INTO A RATTLING during shifts and acceleration. The only other thing with the truck is that it throws a 0170 0174 code often which I think is unrelated(rich/lean) Leaning on you guys experience, any theories would be greatly appreciated. First of all thanks to all those who gave input towards the tedious trouble shooting. I would also like to thank 4 Wheel Parts located in Jacksonville Fl on 103rd ST. These guys brought my truck into their shop and put it on jack stands to help me do some trouble shooting, FOR FREE! It turns out that the problem was my transfer case, changed it and the problem is fixed. I purchased my transfercase from the dealership for about $1150 with a warranty. I had it installed by 4 Wheel Parts for pretty cheap and they changed all of my u-joints for the same price that quoted for the transfer case(both front and rear driveshafts). I didnt do the swap myself because I have been strapped for time with work and needed it done. In conclusion my problem is fixed, If you have a similar problem then I would review this entire topic to reviews others inputs, hope this helps the next guy.
