You are correct. 1.8s is an expensive way of adding a few horsepower on a stock cam, no point in running 1.8s with a custom cam on an application like this, the cam grind will net all gains need for the goal while retaining stock rocker ratio.

I'm in Avon, the RPM Trans SSS in in Anderson. I know of some other LS vehicles but no SSS meets. Best bet is to go to the LSx Shootout and network from there, I've met a lot of guys there in person that I have only met on the other sites before.

I've got one, had it mocked up on the truck to see how it looked and where to have trimmed but am going to sell the truck now. It has been spray painted red for mock up and a hole cut out behind the folding liscence plate bracket for a hidden hitch. Left it on while deployed so it's a little dirty, nothing a wash won't clean but it was also clipped from a trailer and has minor damage. It can easily be filled over when getting painted. If anybody's interested let me know and I'll take some pics, feel free to PM me. Also, FYI these are big so S&H may be more than expected. Also, I have the hidden hitch as well that I will sell.

Anybody running helper bags on their SSS? I recently aquired a set off of a 3/4 ton Duramax and will put them on my truck since I'll be towing a car hauler soon. I'd like to see some install pics if there are any out there as the half ton and 3/4 ton frames and kits are different. Apparently the mounting locations are different and seeing them on the half ton looks as thought the bag support isn't centered on the frame.
