  1. Both those would be a nice boost piston. Diamonds are heavier but are ideal for a high boosted motor. For heads, why not stick with some worked 317s. No gain in copression with a stock comustion chamber size. Plus a worked set of 317s would compliment (feed) that 370 well.
  2. Welcome! I'll be moving to San Diego in a few months... I'll have to catch you at the track sometime.
  3. Yes, I'll be there around the end of March. Unfortunately I'm looking to put a full exhaust prior to my road trip there. WHat do ya have?
  4. In need of a cat back exhaust. In my quest to get the truck running again I need some kind of exhaust. I'd like to find something for a good deal or I'll have to just run up to the exhaust shop and see what they can do.
  5. End of Jan... truck won't be running until then. I'm not trying to pay quite that much though. Thanks, bump for you!
  6. Can you shoot me a shipped price to 28546? I need to get a set of cheapies for the winter.
  7. No prob, you can click the link in my sig for a semi-complete mod list if you're interested.
  8. Well this is off topic but..... depending on your heads, cam, intake combo that will dictate what converter and gear will be matched to your combo. I had a big cam with well flowing heads and that's the converter that was matched to my 4:10s.
  9. I have a Yank SS4000 converter with less than 45 miles on it. Probably right at 20 total miles. I will be using the truck for towing now and want something like a 2800-3200 stall. Let me know what you have. If you're interested in buying, $650 shipped.
  10. That drop on your truck makes the stance perfect.
  11. Congrats, that's deeeeep in the 11s!
  12. I had right at $2900 in them including; upgraded seals, locks, retainers, valves, Patriot Dual Gold springs, and porting and polishing from TEA.
  13. Jump on the HPT forum... there's a ton to read there. I do not know of any books though sorry. The Hanzel LS1 book briefly touches on some things but no where in depth enough to grasp the whole self tuning animal.
  14. Are PI converters different than Yank on this issue? I've never needed to install washers to the flexplate before.
  15. Man I hope so, atleast some 1 7/8s. A 2" header with 3.5 collector would be awesome for larger cubed motors and big FI set-ups.
  16. Yeah, I saw that in the store and had to buy it also. Crazy power from the stock shortblock!
