  1. You might want to just let it go. You're not even reading what I'm writing you're just getting upset and trying to throw any little tidbit you can come up with to prove a point that's not even there. You're not looking at this from any point of view other than your own. Your whole point in the beginning was that 90% of officers are just as bad or worse than the drug dealers/speeders that they pull over? Prove it, cause I'd find it very interesting to see where you get that information from. I'd like to use it for a research project for college. Oh and 1,000 officers isn't even 1% of the sworn officers in this country. Besides that, that # is probably very stretched.
  2. You should probably state that 90% of the cops you've ever known. Which, 100% of the cops you know isn't even 1% of the police officers on duty at any given time in the U.S.. So, I think your first statement is pretty far off from the truth. Oh, and for future reference, stating you know something is true because your experience tells you it is is the worst type of evidence you could ever use to prove a point. Besides that, Cops are humans too. They get pissed off, scared, and it pisses them off when they feel like they're being jerked around. She probably threw the Sheriff who got the ball rolling on that investigation some BS story that he believed because she's a relative. Would you pull strings for a family member if they told you something and you had no reason to disbelieve them? Probably, just about anyone would.
  3. Wow ... Sounds like you had a fun afternoon .... The biggest misconception with Miranda Rights/Warnings, is that everyone believes that they need to have been read their rights, in order for an arrest to take place. Not true. Two seperate, but equally important things must happen, before Miranda comes into to play. #1 - Custody (Physically detain you, or when the average person feels that they are no longer free to leave) #2 - Accusatory/Interogation Questioning So, If an officer witness the crime in person, He DOES NOT have to Mirandize you... ie: Disorderly, Oper. w/o Lic. etc ... Threshold Inquiry questions are ok, until you get to the point where it is no longer an Inquiry, but has now turned into a Custodial Interogation .... As for the Rest .... PM me ... BTW ... it is Miranda vs. Arizona (State) 1967 or 68.... good case to read. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They clearly stated we were going to jail and never read us our rights. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They don't have to read you your rights unless they are going to interrogate you, basically.
  4. The cop has to pace you for a certain length of time? Did he say he didn't get your speed from his dash radar or handheld radar? Cause the dash radar will clock your speed whether he's moving or not.
  5. I think the Camaro SS looks bland in comparison to the WS6. I like the WS6 over the 98-02 Camaro SS but I like the 09 Camaro over the WS6. So it would look something like this: '09 Camaro SS > '98-'02 Trans Am WS6 > '98-'02 Camaro SS
  6. I was checking out gmpartsdirect.com for the two air ducts on the front bumper of our SSSs but couldn't find them. I'm not sure what they're called technically and looking through the lists I didn't see anything that sounded right. I'm not sure if someone else has every looked for them or not but one of mine got messed up. I pulled into a parking spot at work too far and it got caught and when I backed out of the spot it broke the driver side one.
  7. Women would have more true guy friends (not just guys who are friends cause they want to get in their girls' pants) if they acted like that. I'd still hit it, and I might be able to live with it if she kept it to our house with no guests, lol.
  8. I'm not gonna argue with Montana about this crap because he's gonna hate liberals no matter what. However, whether it was taken this way or not, the majority of my post was made to point out the fact that just because JK is a douche doesn't mean every liberal is too. Bush is and always will be a worthless President. Clinton was a better President no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
  9. I like the GMC front ends but the taillights
  10. Yeah right, if what John Kerry said screwed up everything for Democrats taking over the House and Senate people are retarded because that isn't even half of 1% of the stupid sh!t Bush has done. And Bush isn't the only idiotic Republican who's stained the Republican parties' name. Foley anyone? Trust me, if because of one thing a non-factor Democrat says makes you vote Republican maybe you need to read a little more into what some Republicans have done recently. Also how big of a f@!k up our current President is. F!@kin' liberals? Take a peek at the Republicans. Kerry isn't even in any kind of real power position. What he said was wrong and stupid but it was one thing he said, not 2-terms of a presidency he's slowly pissed away with poor decisions. He isn't trying to exploit young kids through e-mail either. In defense of other Democrats I will also say that a local Democrat here in Iowa is running for a seat and he canceled an appearance he was supposed to have with John Kerry because of what was said. Just because Kerry says stupid crap doesn't mean every Liberal thinks the same way.
  11. I bet Chuck Norris could get us the hoods for free. Anyone want to try talking to him? I'm too afraid that I'll get roundhouse kicked.
  12. South Park won an award. People praise that show for making fun of anything and everything because it helps people see the lighter side of things. I laughed at the picture.
  13. Every had an apartment or house with a good (guy) friend that you've known since high school? Two of my good friends from high school have a house and I'm over there quite a bit so I've heard a lot of loud and rambuncious sex. We tend to like messing with each other especially when it's a one-night-stand type of encounter. My favorite was when we were all completely drunk trying to take blind pictures of the action from one such encounter with the digital camera.
  14. Depends on what you're doing, where you are, and it depends on the cop. I do ride-alongs at the Clive Police Department (Suburb of Des Moines, IA) and I've rode with about five officers and they've all been fairly lenient and use their discretion to the fullest. There's one officer at their Dept. that NEVER lets people off for anything, but the bulk of them do. The one I've rode with the most has been helpful enough to explain things to me. Like there are certain areas where he is more lenient and less lenient with speeding and what not. I've had probably two or three people that we've pulled over that could've been arrested for drunk driving but instead just made them call cabs. Other times he'd pull someone over and be able to ticket them for multiple infractions but only end up citing them for one (whichever is the cheapest ticket) and then giving them verbal warnings on the rest. So, from my experience more officers are lenient than not.
  15. Well, yeah - but what if they are just more in touch with their feelings than other headlights and an overly developed sense of fashion? Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would make them metrosexual, right?
  16. 1BADSSS, I think would be pretty good. Maybe I'll get that one.
  17. Looks exactly like the one (color and all) that Will Smith drives in Bad Boys II. Very nice car.
  18. I paid $25,795 for my '03 with 15.5k miles on it in June '05.
  19. There's a lot of dedications that go out to our troops abroad and they deserve every ounce of it, but I thought perhaps we should thank our local troops (Police officers, EMTs, Firefighters, and National Guard) too. Thanks for all your support and help in defending us here at home from enemies as well as ourselves. I found this poem while I was doing some research for my final project to obtain my A.A.S. in Criminal Justice. My research project is on Police officer suicide. I have been where you fear to go... I have seen what you fear to see... I have done what you fear to do... All these things I've done for you. I am the one you lean upon... The one you cast your scorn upon... The one you bring your troubles to... All these people I've been for you. The one you ask to stand apart... The one you feel should have no heart... The one you call the man in blue... But I am human just like you. And through the years I've come to see... That I'm not what you ask of me... So take this badge and take this gun... Will you take it? Will anyone? And when you watch a person die... And hear a battered baby cry... Then so you think that you can be All those things you ask of me...? "Tears Of A Cop" - author unknown
  20. I'm down, how much would it cost to have you install it for me?

  23. Sorry about the first pic being so dark and not being able to get a shot of the front, I was using my camera phone and trying to drive at the same time, made it a little difficult. **Edit** And for those of us who live in the Des Moines metro area this bad boy is on sale at Stiver's Ford on Hickman Rd/Highway 6 (whichever you know it as) outside Waukee. I believe the price was $45,060 or so. Here's the link: http://www.stiversford.com/pages/present/f...VHT88S575240654
