OK...let me try to post this again.....(I got a IPS DB error page while trying to post) I have seen the same thing with my alternator dipping.... my truck progressively started running poorly....it actually took awhile until I broke down and threw it on a scanner....cause....well....I guess I was being a slack-ass.... but I noticed that the voltmeter would read low, usually on a cold or warm motor....the engine would sometimes stall when swiching into and out of reverse...low ile(below 500).....and the A/C sucked butt....but after running for a bit and on a hot motor....everything ran fine....voltmeter showing 13.5 or so....cold A/C....RPM's just at or slightly above 600....no stalling..... at first I was thinking the same thing....and that I had a lousy connection somewhere....especially with my e-fans.....in which I thought was the culprit....or my sub amp and e-fans drawing too much current....but when I fianlly threw it on the scanner, I got some nasty readigs coming from both my MAP and MAF.....so I replaced the MAP and cleaned up the MAF and throttle body...and voila.....every single issue I had was cured....even the alternator dipping.... unfortunatley.....I did not take heed to some advice, and have the top end cleaned.....as it's starting to come back now.....the first symptom is a irratic/racy idle on first crank.....Ihave to give a little gas, to keep it from loping at idle.....

Well....what you described is right on.....it happens anywhere from 10 mph and below.....so it does make me want to think that it's a sensor that's failing.... It's a little above my head I guess, as I've never had to mess with ABS on any other vehicles....other than replacing sensors... and with that said, I don't even know how Chevy does with theirs....does ABS monitor the tranny speedo too?.....or just the front two wheels?

When I'm coming to a stop, and just before the truck actually comes to a stop....the ABS kicks on....and pulls slightly to the right..... my first thought was that is was a dirty or malfunctioning speed sensor....but I figured I would make sure that it was the ABS that was doing it....although it was obvious...so I pulled the ABS fuse to see if it still did it, in which it didn't, and does just find without ABS.... and after searching around and finding this http://www.alldata.com/techtips/2003/20031006d.html I was almost certain that it was a speed sensor...so I pulled the wheel and rotor to find that the sensor is actually nested inside the hub...as I was thinking that it would be like other systems I've seen with the little slotted disc and sensor exsposed....so I went and grabbed up the only new sensor that my local dealer had in stock...and I figured all I needed was one.....as it sounds like ABS is only on one side(left) and that it was pulling to the right....which I was guessing that ABS was on the left wheel and no ABS on right....because the ECU thinks the left wheel is stopped.... so I replace the left wheel's sensor.....doesn't help.....so I replace the right one, with the old left one....still doesn't help.... I have a VIN locked Predator that a buddy gave me for his old 03' SSS, that I use just for reading/clearing DTM's.....and the only thing I see, is a history code for brake position switch.... although I'm not 100% convinced that it has anything to do with or causing the brake issue...but my truck also has a weird intermittent metal scratching sound coming from the left side(maybe right too)...I thought it was a CVD....but it sometimes does it when going straight....but most often it will do it when turning sharply.....the sound is better described like a dust shield up against a warped rotor....but it comes and go.... if anyone has an idea, or can point me in the direction.....I would thoroughly appreciate it.... 03' SSS AWD
