I think I just might do that, its just tryimg to find the time sometimes its easier to pay someone but not that much. I havent looked closely yet but is the tranny a one piece unit meaning on a 4x4 you have to swap over the transfer case I dont remember if you have to do that or if the tranny is all one unit. Hey fellas I was just curious what it would cost to swap an awd tranny and torque converter? I made a call to a local shop today and they said about 8 hours at $105 an hour so I am looking at just shy of a thousand dollars am I nuts or is he nuts with that estimate?. Thanks for the tips but 2 things 1-did you use the factory master cylinder and did it mount to the booster ok? 2-I think that plate on ebay is supposed To take the place of the plate already mounted on the master in other words remove the plate on the master and replace it with the ebay plate. If you look under the hydroboost topic under brakes/suspension and click on the 3rd page Shawnsss has a link to p.t.trucks click that then go to page 5 and read kysilverado's post he has a link to his post he shows a schematic and says he jumped the black wire and dark blue wire ans has had no problems.let me know how it works. See thats my original question that is the adapter Chase told me about but how does it work? The adapter bolts on the plate are perfectly centered probably like the ss firewall and my booster has the one odd stud on it so how does the plate mount up?,I cant even call the plate seller for info.
