  1. One of my friends is into that and he uses DVD X-Copy along with ANY DVD and it pretty well covers almost every movie he rents.
  2. Very cool. Gives me chills also. Reminds me of a truely sad day in racing.
  3. I'd recomend Either of the two above. Taylor and Accel would also be top choices. The Accel 9059 are my preferred choice.
  4. It is fairly common to have the belt slip and make noise on the truck with a 4L65E on the shift. I don't think I've ever heard the timing make a squeak noise though.
  5. Just have the dealer warrenty them.
  6. Did you put a 4L80E in your SS??? I assume you're 2wd???
  7. I have heard they are junk. Just a weaker stall that the engine torque can overpower to a point. I would go with a yank, or something built for the LQ9 displacement, weight, and towing potential. Do you have something to back this up???? You're going to love that stall Holty. It instantly will make traction a problem on the launch, but damn is that fun.
  8. Seriously, if you had one of those sitting around you could simply have the truck back on the road in 5-6 hours every time that happens. When you happen to get around this way again I'll make some adjustments to the tuning to see if we can get that 3-4 shift a bit quicker. With the Zippy kit that you have there is alot of room to make sure that the 3-4 clutches don't fail at all. The only poblem is that once you get the programming just right so that they don't fail you risk the chance at breaking the input drum where the input shaft presses in. There again if you had a spare input drum loaded sitting around you'd be all set and have a same day fix with little to no downtime. I can set it up though so that you likely won't be able to burn them up again.
  9. Zippy, Yes this will be a N/A application 408/414 with 10.75 to 11.0 to 1 compression, on 91 octane. Cam in the .600 lift range, dur. @ .050 around 24x's Head flow should be good. Either RHS 225, AFR 225, or L-92 heads. The intake is the only thing I am trying to figure out. I can't decide if I should do a SSR 90, LS2 90, or sheetmetal for L-92. A standard walbro intank pump upgrade with 42lb hr injectors will do the job just fine.
  10. You need to just keep an extra input drum loaded with clutches just sitting around.
  11. This highly depends on whether or not you're naturally asperated or not.
  12. I catch them hockey games on tv at the bar. If I never watched another hocked game in my life it would be too soon.

    Top Speed

I've been to 136 in an SSS and about 135 in a VHO and both were not yet done pulling.
  14. I grew up a Tigers fan, but otherwise I'm a Cubs fan.
  15. I've heard that one before and it's funny every time I read it.
  16. i have a stock pcm and my fuel cut off kicks in at like 97mph You must have a 2wd.
  17. The 2600 behind a radix'd truck with a smaller pulley will stall to around 3100 on average.
  18. Those are very nice pieces, but also very expensive. The magnet part is very handy. The extra capacity is mostly there to keep heat down. Unless you run very high speeds for long dstances or tow/haul heavy loads you aren't going to gain much from it.
  19. i wish i'd have known this i'd have went to one of the power tour stops...
  20. Jeff had a heart attack while driving home from work one night.
  21. TransGo has two different lines...one directed to the do-it-yourself consumer and one directed towards the technician, which also explains why they have two package variations. The shift kits we sell are those for the technician and therefor do not come with a video and is why we don't advertise it being sold with one. In place of the video we give you Joe's cell number. i was going to post this also to explain, but i forgot. as stated, the one with the video is pretty much for standard retail with a fancy box, video and all. the one most trans places you'll find such as jag carry the normal one which is just based on the parts you need.
  22. the list is slowly getting bigger. with all the problems people have had with having shift kits installed and trans work done i'd like to see more listed especially with recomendations on who did the work.
  23. the radix injectors are 42lbs hr., but they are rated for that at the 58psi or so that the truck's stock pressure runs at. the lightning injectors run 42lbs hr at 43.5psi rating. at the pressure an SSS runs at they are roughly 49lbs hr.
