I've been trying not to drive the SS as much as possible this winter but the master cylinder went out in my beater so i have to drive my purdy truck til i get the ugly one fixed.

I've never smoked pot, dont ever plan on doing it either. I'm in the same boat as Drako, I rarely smoke or drink, and never in excess. I'm against it being legal because it is just another drug for people to abuse. I'm not saying that everyone will abuse, but like alcohol there will be those who use in excess and ruin it for everybody else.

I feel ya man. I've been driving my beater (79 Chevy K10) for about a month or so now, not that it gets good fuel economy (8-9mpg), but it gets me A to B, its paid for and if something happens to it I wont be heartbroken.

^^this is great advice. ONe thing i might add is to dig your heels in, pinch the bike wit your heels and lower legs, it will help keep you from going ass over tea-kettle, when standing. (should be almost all the time.) Oh yeah, dont show off in front of your buddies, its almost a sure thing you will crash... lol

they're okay. a little overrated IMO. Dont get me wrong they scoot, but just dont perform like i thought 500 hp should. The blower whine is alway fun too.

thats why i have this old POS... lol I've been driving it through the winter, its my beater/hunting truck. I have no fear when driving it, pretty much anything goes in it.

I hate to say it, but i do think the patriots are a better team than the giants so I'm gonna say they'll probably win. I would like to see the Pats win just because they've been doing so well the last two seasons, but at the same time i would like to see the Giants win, because i'm tired of the Patriots winning.

Tow/haul is a no no when shooting for quicker ET's. It will make the truck shift sooner, and will be slower. Just do a brake stall off the line. My truck usually launches well from a 1600RPM brake stall. (FYI a brake stall is spepping on the brake and the gas at the same time, rev it to 1600 hold it there until you get the green light and step off the brake.) Good luck!

a set of flexalite fans are $550+ I would imagine the factory fans arent much cheaper. I guess i will have to check with my local dealer.

Just came across these on ebay today, and was wondering if anyone has used them, or if they know of anyone who has. I would low ball with my initial offer. If/when they say no, then ask them what the absolute lowest price is. That should get you rolling. Salespeople look for three things when seting up a sale; What do you want? Why do you want it? And What are you willing to pay. A good salesperson will sell themselves by getting on a "personal" level with you, and then try to sell the product or service. Good luck/ have fun.

just checked on the auction pipeline (dealer thing). They're bringing anywhere between $23k and $29k. I'd say you would be safe with a $29-$30k offer. Obviosly they want the thing gone, and are willing to take a little hit if they are sending it to an auction, or will sell it for what they bought it for, and eat the auction fee's, transport... yada yada. Ask them what they're bottom dollar is, and go from there. Good luck
