  1. Dude, seriously :chillpill:

I never said your truck that you have now isn't faster than a stock ram. I said that I don't thik a ex-cab 5.3 silverado is going to outrun a rcsb hemi ram. The ONLY thing I have said about your current truck is that, the track times will speak for themselves, good or bad

  2. I'll just let your track times speak for themself. I think you may be surprised at what your truck will actually run.

Don't worry about making me mad, this is after all a chevy site. I was just kinda confused as to why you though I would flame you  But do I think that a 5.3 ex-cab truck is going to outrun a rcsb hemi ram, no. But it really doesnt matter cause probaly more than half of the race stories on the internet never even happend anyway.

  3. You sound a little over confident. :D I'm not here to argue with anyone, so I really don't know why you felt like you had to call me out :dunno: I'll be more than happy to smoke your truck if you want to set it up. I'll even let you pick which one :jester: Please, go back and read every post I've made over here. I've never once flamed anyone for outrunnig a ram :wtf:

Honestly I always get a kick out of all of this. On this site the chevy always wins. On the dodge site the dodge always wins  I really don't worry myself over it, cause all I care about is the one beside me, doesn't matter to me how many hemi's he's already out ran.

  4.

    This is getting redundent.

It's like you're saying, the magazine says you'll run 13's and so you'll run 13's. That is dispite the fact you may have never set foot on a race track before or any kind of elevation or climate differences you have from those who tested the car in the magazine.

    HUH???!?

I hang out at the track. I watch the cars with my own eyes.

    :dunno:

Just because they run the sames time at your track as those magazines say they will, doesn't mean they'll do the same every where else...exspecaily stock with no tuning. Thats like saying two cars; car a) running at 3000 ft of elevations with temps higher than 100degrees and the driver has never raced before is going to run the same times as car b) at sea level during a 60 degree day with a proven drag racer behind the wheel? I'm sure you also believe the same goes for a modded car and they don't have to retune for any climate or elevation changes either?

Just because they don't run those same times at your track doesn't mean they won't somewhere else, the last time I checked noone goes by the slowest time a vehicle ran. You're really arguing a mute point, if a stock charger runs a 15 flat at your track a stock sss would do good to run a 16.0. Every vehicle runs slower in hot weather, supercharged vehicles are not effected as much as N/a vehicles. Either way a stock charger with a decent driver will outrun a stock sss with a good driver.

  5. So I was just driving along the other day talking to my friend, stopped at a red light when a rcsb hemi pulled up next to me and says have you done anythiung to your ss because ive beat them before, and before i knew it the light was green and i was trying to play catch up.  It seems like his third pulled way harder.  when i caught up to him he said he had a exhaust, k&n, throttle body, and superchip. he said i had a fast truck but what he did to his made it a lot faster so from about 25 he said hit it.  so i did and he hit it then again it seemed like he was pulling on me in third he didn't pass me because we had to shut it down and then he turned so i never really got a straight up light with him I'm not sure what would have happened but anyone have any thoughts?

I have a o6 ss with dual in/out magnaflow and volant cai

The key for any hemi ram is having a superchips. It'll easily drop your 1/4 mil et at least five tenths. From what I've seen the reason he pulled you in third is because he was still in second gear. The SS's are geared a good bit lower than the rams. For instance I don't shift out of second gear until 89-90 mph. The SS has the advantage on the low end while the ram is a little faster up top.

While we're on the subject, I met up with a guy at teh track that had a 2005 hemi ram. The only mods he had was superchips and a CAI and a different muffler. That day he ran a best of 14.08, that same day I ran a 13.8 with the only difference in mods being that I have headers.

13.8 in an suv impressive...thats the ultimate grocery getter!!!!! Nice garage!

The 13.8 was in my ram. I've only had the TBSS at the track once and it was really hot and only managed a 14.5. But I know in cooler weather it'll also be in the 13's. Thanks for the compliment

  7.

CMG, he hasn't ran it at the track yet, he fried the tranny the day after they got it running. I just read a post that the tranny has been rebuilt with upgraded Suncoast parts, and they will test more tomorrow.  After it's all said and done they're hoping to be deep in the 10's.

Does he have a roll bar, or is he gonna "one run" it?

Honestly, I don't know. I'll ask him and see though.

  8. I agree with mr.payne... It really doesnt' matter if someone doesn't like the looks of the dodge. But I think I can go out on a limb and say that ALMOST everyone can respect a vehcile with that much power.

  9. Looks pretty cool. Getting a trans to hold up is going to be impressive. What is he using for fuel management???

I'm not really sure what you mean?? He still has the stock pcm in there, then he's programmed it with a superchips to get the extended rpm and shift firmness. Then he has a SMT-6 piggyback controller spliced into the pcm. I think that's what he's controlling the fuel and timing with. Is that what you wanted to know?? If not I can ask him and get back to you. I konw he has had his entire fuel system custom made, fuel rails and all, I don't know what size injectors he's using though.

  10. damn...it even look stock.....he must go through quite a lot of tires

I don't know if he has any plans as far as styling goes, it's pretty much setup just to race. It's got a 3500 rpm stall in it, and he's done a little bit of suspension work on it. I think he said Suncoast was building him a transmissino for it, if that doesn't work out he's been throwing around the idea of putting a T56 in it.

  11. This guys been building this truck for 7 months now. I can't remember off of the top of my head how he got the extra cubes, but it's a 392 or 6.4 hemi. The motor itself is pretty well bulletproof, but the tranny's already took a dump on him. It's supercharged and when they get the fine tuning done they're turning the boost up until they run out of fuel, and trust me it can flow a lot of fuel.

I know yall may not care, but any 800hp truck is good in my books
