towed my 4100lb racetruck, with a 1800 pound trailer, and my 450r in the bed, with 5 people. no trailer brakes. not one problem. power was fine....wasnt like i was trying to run someone you know but it picked up speed just fine onto the highway. stopped fine, but im not the type to put myself in a risky stopping situation. and if someone had pulled out... then well they would learn a lesson cause some serious weight was coming for them. but it stopped just fine. 05 and up brakes FTW

i heard lightning weighin in at 4800lbs or so. my SSS is right around 4880 now. so not much weight diff. ford did shit all over us with factory to factory. but once you look pass that. bolt ons and a tune and your 5 passenger, 6,000lb towing silverado is even with them or in front of them. but they at least have a some what good tranny stock. and most L guys swap there chargers out so right there they evened up with mod money

you can get swing out side bars that can remove so you dont have to climb over anything. and last i check theres a legal way to run the rear bars on a extendo cab and not have mess with the roof or rear glass. just send them through bottom of the cab under the window and into the bed. a simple 6 point is good to 10.00 and i dont see many SSS running that and being driven daily.. and if so then not that often and it wont be that big of a deal

free bump. but i shipped a th350 from ups freight for 130 bucks i think it was. and that was just dropping it off they strapped it to a pellet.

the guy i just bought my mcgaughys kit off of had barely any post on pt.net. i paid 325 shipped for a brand new kit spindles hangers shackles. regardless of his post count i went for it.

you know i been wanting to do this for awhile. i was gonna figure a way to have coilovers welded in. that would drop a tremendous amount of weight of the front of this truck. im interested. let me know a price

or maybe its your right foot? stop trying to leave like john force and give it enough to hook. let it sqaut down before you full throttle it. ease into it. also most drop shocks suck on letting the front end come up and give it that intial transfer to the rear. i suggest training your foot first then going from there

im thinking you used the wrong holes on the hanger and shackle thats why your not happy. make sure you used the highest holes on both.

79k miles. nothing replaced but batt, front rotors and pads, plugs, manifold back exhaust, and tires. stock trans shifts hard and ive towed plenty of cars and my 96 all over florida. its been a trooper. drive seat getting wore out on bolester, stock radio buttons wore off, sunroof messed up once not closing but been great since then. passenger door window little slow for past year but still good. did start getting a left front wheel whine, and im fixing to redo whole suspension, but factory still rides smooth. OHH YEAH. and that damn steering clunk i had fixed at 31k miles and came back at 38k right after warrenty was out. GM said o welll

very interesting. if my DRL's looked like that i wouldnt have unplugged the fuse. also the tag light is a nice touch. anyone know where to find the silverstar bulbs like he has in his markers?? they are discontinued every where i look
