  1. Yeah ... usually on late every nite ... keeps me up when I should be sleeping ...
  2. Seafoam is a petroleum product that you can buy at any parts store (I know Advance has it) that alot of the guys on here use as an injector cleaner, carb cleaner, upper cylinder lube, and an overall carbon-eating monster. Says on their website that it can be used various ways ... through the PCV valve (which, there's a how-to access/change your PCV Valve here.); in motor oil to clean various parts, increase vacuum & compression; in your fuel tank; etc. Here's the website: SeaFoam I didn't know about it until I got on here ... and I can honestly say, it's as good as everyone on here says ... I noticed a difference by just adding a pint to my fuel tank. I'll probably get another pint this weekend and do the cleaning through the PCV valve ...
  3. NSFW! But, funny as hell! "If there's an Ace of Clubs up my as*, I'm gonna sue you David Blane!" "Cheeze-Itz! Cheeze-Itz! Cheeze-Itz! Cheeze-Itz! Cheeze-Itz!" ...
  4. pimp, Would you happen to know what is underneath the plastic molding in the center console where you mounted your DVD player? I'm going to be making some new holes in that section, and I don't want to find out the hard way if there's anything underneath ... Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the info. guys. I do appreciate it. I guess it's safe to say that I'm looking to run 10 MPG ... and if that's the case, I'll prolly get the trailer from UHaul. BigO brought up the great point of not being responsible for it ... I kinda liked that concept ... Thanks Again!
  6. Gotta go where the $$$ is ... if your buddy at the electronics place is any kind of friend, he'll understand. That's my $.02
  7. whitepages.com & their reverse lookup works pretty good, too. Plus, that's free ...
  8. Hey guys ... My SS seemed to be bogging down lately, so I ran some seafoam in the tank, and man, did it wake the truck up! But, now, I'm noticing a delayed acceleration out of the gate of my 1-2 shift. From a rolling start of about 35-40 MPH, it feels like the #2 clutch grabs ... slides off a little, and then grabs again, full force. I was wondering if this was torque management doing this, or if I might have an actual 1-2 slip @ high throttle ... Unfortunately, I can't check the shift adapts until tomorrow ... and I wanted to ask around before then ... Anyone w/ info. ... greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Maybe I got one of the knockoffs, or maybe my memory isn't what it used to be ... I thought your quote said "10" (ten), but you're right 1 0 would be 2. Sorry about that ... glad to know you used to be one of us ... traitor.
  10. Why do your DRL's switch on when you turn on your HighBeams ... ? Is that something you did before the HID conversion?
  11. Hey! I had that T-shirt! ... WTF are you trying to say ... ??? And ... I think it was "There are 2 types of people in this world... those that understand binary, and those that don't." ... If you're gonna quote a geek, at least do it right ... jeez ... P's back window is funny, though. McAffee has always been useless in my eyes ... caused more problems than it fixed ... I used to spend a lot of time removing it from our new systems and installing AVG or Norton ...
  12. ... they could have used a Lightning ... or a DAYTONA RAM ... I laughed my ass off at cocky Parker. It was funny watching a nerd strut ...
  13. Guys ... I'm trying to plan a trip of ~ 1400 miles (with mountain highways), and I need to haul a single-axle trailer w/ no air dam in the front (it's flat) ... but I only need to haul the trailer one-way. What I'm trying to determine is would I be better off using my friend's trailer, that I'd have to haul round-trip, or would it be better to rent something from UHaul, and only drive it one way ... ~ 660 ... (UHaul rental is ~ $112 before taxes, etc.). I did a rough calc using 9MPG @ $2.95/gal. and it's a no-brainer that the UHaul is the better bargain. But, what I don't know is, what is the estimated MPG economy our trucks get while towing ... Anyone that has any ideas, please, your help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Yeah ... you have to take it to someone that can rebuild a differential ... because the carrier bearings are inside the diff.
  15. So ... in other words, it only hums while you're taking up the driveline slack, and there's no load on the driveline (deceleration or acceleration) I would def. say it's the carriers ... mine did the same thing ... got the front end rebuilt, and it's been quiet ever since.
