  2. alright i know this is a pretty easy procedure but i figured why not do a write up about it. so for anyone who needs more fuel delivery or just needs to replace. it is a good idea to have less than 5 gallons in the tank but not a must. in most new chevy trucks the fueltank sits behind the drivers side cab snugged right under the bed. i have heard the wiring often goes bad and can burn up the pump. the new pump i bought came with a new harness and new connections. the first step is to make some room under the bed. i just took mine off to get some better pictures but if you are pressed for time and don't have the help here is what you do. there are 8 bolts running down the chassis that connect the bed to the frame. if you remove the first tow or three running down each side and loosen the back 1 or 2 you can use blocks to lift up the bed kinda like a dump truck. here is what you see. the electrical connections are easily unplugged and i recomend bleeding out the fuel lines so you don't squirt fuel everywhere, but you can just use a rag and pull them off without too much mess and you are left with this the only thing holding this baby down is a compression ring that has a hole on each end right in front. so use some needle nose plyers and remove the ring and the pump should come right out. i would take my time taking the pump out and let most of the fuel drain out and tip the pump as much as you can while it is still in the tank to do so. the next step is optional but im a clean freak so here we go... i syphoned out all the gas from the tank to make sure there was no debris. there are tank cleaners you can use to get the job done well. after the tank is clean I installed the new wiring harness and taped everything back up. put the new pump in and seat it firmly against the tank and put that compression ring back in place. you can hook the lines back up and the electical connections. and put the bed back on. it is also i good idea to replace your fuel filter. the install in the pictures was on my brothers s10 not my ss but the install is identical. hope this helps someone.
  3. a little over a year ago i picked up a new puppy he is brendle colored and has some pit bull in him. well he is a really loyal dog, problem is it is just to me. when i am around he is a really good dog and he is nice to people he knows. but this dog has some serious killer insticts. the other day he caught and killed a bird out of mid air! right in front of me, one of the most amazing things i have ever seen. he has drug home cats and even a pocupine. that was a nice vet bill. if people walk up to me and he doesn't know them he will growl and sit right next to me i'm afraid he is going to hurt someone. anyone else had this situation?

  8. this sounds a bit ricer but i was thinking of switching out the big bulky ss seats to save some weight and for a more custom look. has anyone done this? here are a few options i have in mind ricaro seats are nice too. im going to put them on a sliding track of course. any thoughts?
  9. i got projector headlights and it sure is nice not having to change bulbs all the time. i just changed out the blinkers and brake lights today, but i like the way my tails look so i have not gone to LEDs. it is pretty clear that LEDs will take over the market, not only for cars
  10. by the way looking at my sig... i think i need a new one. any one want to volunteer to help me out?
  11. i got my truck about six months after they were released and i threw rims, a cover, the painted hood and the 5 piece billet grille overlays on, a year or so later i joined the site and a few months after that i saw (i think his name is) AZFASTESTSS truck and it looked so simular to mine that i descided to give the ss a little face lift to make it a little more unique. so i cut out the inserts and the grille mesh, blacked out the scoops and threw on new headlights and a new grille. so from stock to... to and then added these
