  1. I pm'd a mod, then realized my pm box is full. Anyone wanna post up here where i go to renew my supporting membership. I swear i've looked everywhere on here. Thanks
  2. No longer am i going to pretend like i'm actually going to use this cover. It's time to sell it. If you're interested, pm me your phone number or add an email here or by PM. I'll send a pic via phone pic (iphone). It's a very nice cover and in perfect condition. $100 plus shipping (it doesn't weigh much).
  3. Holy Shit that's nice. Everyone has their own personal reasons for what they do, and i don't mean to disrespect that with you, but seriously, you need to keep this SS. If i was in the market for one, I would be there tomorrow to check it out and drive it home an hour later. A lot of guys mod the hell out of theirs, then it sits in the garage. Evidently, the mod bug never hit you. That'll sit just fine with the new owner. GLWS
  4. A lot of nice rides. I'm really kind of diggin that second pic of the newer chevy. Pics like that will eventually be the demise of the SS in my driveway.
  5. SOLD !! Bought this setup late last year from scooter k. I'm gonna stay with my current setup so this is gonna go to a new home. I only opened to the box to check everything after purchase from him, then sealed it up. I have no interest in piecing this out so please don't ask. I will sell it for what i paid and not a dime more. 6. You run across another set of these around the same price, let me know. Not really concerned about the finish.
  7. Pm sent. I'll take them. Always wanted to give these a try on the truck. Assuming they fit an 04 ??
  8. Thats better......Looks great
  9. Pics or it didn't happen............
  10. Sooooooooo, you gonna share that info or do i have to go to the vette site to find it ? I'd throw a set on the shelf for that price.
  11. I agree with the search improvement suggestions, and i love the idea of a section dedicated to proven upgrades/mods and a section on part numbers. I still think a tutorial on how to search, and one on how to be respectful of others....not a dickwad, would help in a big way. But since those things are probably not realistic or practical, more moderator intervention is probably necessary. I know you guys don't want to hear that, and i don't blame you a bit as you're already spread thin sometimes (most times), but there is a thread in the For Sale section right now that makes my point. It is nothing but a pissing match that should allow for some personal opinions to be expressed, but ultimately should then go to PM's where people can work out their differences. If i need to be more specific let me know, but i think you easily get my point. Thanks for coming out with some improvement plans and including everyone in the process.
  12. I'm not being a smart ass when i say this... Then i'd put them on ebay and get them sold quick...IF i was selling them.
  13. Not sure why you posted in the for sale section if they're not for sale.... But you asked for opinions so i'd say $600-$700 and i'd either split shipping or pay for shipping completely. And all of that would require that i was really in the market for that exact wheel. I agree with midwest, you might have better luck finding someone that may want to trade.
  14. I copy/pasted this info i posted in the HOW TO Z06 upgrade thread a while back. A few thousand miles on mine and a little time on them as well. All appears to be good so far. He's just another source out there, but i'd highly recommend him both from a cost and a knowledge standpoint. If you do an advanced search on here with the word STRANO, you'll find a little more info. Sam Strano of stranoperformance 800-729-1831. He know his stuff with performance pads and will suggest based on what you want, but i ended up going with this: HB531F570 HPS C6 Z06 Front--Padlet designHB532F570 HPS C6 Z06 Rear--Padlet Design. They were about $270 shipped. A little cheaper than the one piece. But i went padlets because it was an easy install and will be easy to replace.
  15. Why don't you guys post up some links to these $150 phones as a friendly 'see, just want you to know'. Otherwise, whats the point to posting if you don't have any interest in buying?
  16. Try to post it on craigslist if you can. I sold mine last year for $325 and people were beating down my door at that price.
  17. Holy Shit Brian ! Don't wanna clutter the thread but i have to say, this is one hell of a nice truck. If you add up the time, money and effort that goes into something like this, it's crazy. At this point in my life, if i wanted to buy an SS with everything completed and ready to go that i would want, this would be the one. A daily driver, red light / strip racer and very well done in every aspect. Even better....it's all documented on this site. Best of luck with the sale. For someone without the time, knowledge or patience to build something like this, you just opened up a great opportunity.
  18. I KNOW !!!!!!! If i could find one, i'd pay...like...$400 for it. Good luck. I'll let you know if i see anything.
  19. I run 22's so i have a spare 22 tire/wheel combo i throw in the back if i leave town. I suppose you could look into a few different options, like you mentioned. Just do your homework on the right size spare in case you need it. Or have a really good tow service insurance policy. As far as rotors, you can keep trying Ray, and if you get ahold of him he's a hell of a nice guy, but may take some time. I didn't ask him for help on the rotors so i'm not sure, but i can't imagine you'd save that much asking for his help in sourcing....BUT i may be wrong. I caught a decent end of year deal calling Baer directly. In the end, when it's time to pull the trigger, it's time to pull the trigger. Good luck
  20. Just a thought here from someone who has done this setup... 1. Try to post pics of the parts your buddy has for sale 2. List out all of the parts included 3. Include a list of anything the buyer may have to pick up, that is not included, for the install. I love my Vette brake setup and am glad i went that route. But this one is not gonna sell itself. AND, normally i wouldn't jump in the price discussion unless i was buying this, but since it's your buddy's setup and not yours, i'll chime in. You may want to ask him about the price and if there is any wiggle room. Just trying to help.
  21. Where the hell you been Gary? Now that Shaun is back, you followed him?
  22. How the F*CK do you write in white text format? Well, it's easy i guess. Thanks Shaun. Catastrophe averted. Thats some stupid shit.
