I wouldn't go anything over an 8500 stall.
just ask zippy.
-
I have ARH 1 7/8 headers (no cats) and corsa sport and it sounds like a farm truck on a lug in third.
-
I saw it in person when it was Brians, and it was undoubtedly clean. I will volunteer that most don't keep their trucks as clean as I do, let alone Brian. People would also argue that since the new owner did not build it, he will have a different respect for it than Brian did. Either way, it is a 9 year old truck.

You guys know if zippy leaves his PCMs unlocked?
If you plan on having someone else tune on it don't plan on working with him again
-
Hopefully they don't all catch fire like the pace car did at the Nascar race

This is going to get ugly.

From what I always read he never answers the phone anyway.

I got ****ing smoked today by a Harley Davidson truck. Kinda embarrassed. I do know there supercharged but damn. We were already rolling at about 70 before we took off so that's prolly why
finding an unmolested blown 5.4 is near impossible..most likely pullied at the least and a whole different ballgame then

my Senior prom was 1998,but did not go. Used the money to buy a blower for my 73 nova hatch. The sweetheart dance, however; I drove a 97 ws6 trans am.
-
I hope you're right bro because the last thing I want to do is pull that trans. out again - especially since we have it running so well now. Personally, I have no experience and am just going off what Zippy and a few others have told me. Since Mike has tuned countless numbers of our trucks and knows the numbers, I have no reason not to believe him. In fact, just before I put my trans. in he asked me what stall I ordered with the converter and I told him 3000. He told me I better hope it stalls around 2400 - 2500 before the blower because all the low end torque will increase the stall quite a bit. AND it was stalling right at 2500 for my first few HPT logs I recorded which was right on the money - the sudden increase to 3300 is what has me worried.
If Mike is telling you this, I would believe it. If it was 97% of these other know-it-all jackasses I would take it with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, you are going to have to install the blower and see how it does. Period.

If these fit stock width I would own them already. Very nice set.

Thanks James. I think Shaun's being sarcastic referring to a recent thread a new guy posted that just bought a totally stock SSS and claims to have whipped a Lightning on the highway.
I'm really curious to see what my ram air tube does or doesn't do - just got confirmation I'll be receiving it tomorrow. SO, I think I'm heading back up to Topeka this Saturday for another round of test and tune... #1 - I got my HD camera figured out and wanted to get some more vids 2 - I wanted to see what my ram air tube does to my times 3 - I wanted to get some brake stall runs in to see what that does. The great thing is the weather conditions are supposed to be close to identical so after I test these things, I think I'll have a true baseline established.
a LOT of this
