Not trying to start anything, a "fresh" 06 Rwd SS running against a "rode hard and put away wet" 1999 lighting is always a very real possibility.
The 06 are the quickest SSS's off the factory floor. My truck with tuning, and no major bolt ons has produced better quarter mike times than my friends tired 03 SSS with a cam and blower. Not saying I've beat a L, just saying that there are a lot of tired sport trucks out there these days.
Whenever we hear these stories, some guys around here turn into mr. Street race and pulls up stock vs stock times by professional drivers off of car and drivers website. Just saying.
Care to elaborate on this statement? My interest is piqued

Thanks Brian. Yeah, just like onebadmax said - know it all slap dicks are everywhere! Just because our RMP gauge only goes up to 6k doesn't mean 6k is the redline or else Chevy would have indicated red marks on the gauge to show where redline starts - at least that's the way I see it, AND there aren't any people around that know these trucks better than Mike anyway.

Wife and I went to pick up our opening day Royals tickets and spotted a black SSS heading North on 291 Hwy around 12:30 today. Truck had dual exhaust out the back, tinted windows and a non-DEI tailgate spoiler. Tried to catch up in time to see how it stacked up to the Volvo, but he turned into a residential area and there was no place to get next to it. Was wondering if it was anyone on here. Looked to be in pretty fine shape, other than being dirty from the shit weather we have had as of late..
