also just checked out the kooks website and saw the trailblazer ss headers, any of yopu all think those might be able to fit without any clearence issues???

yeah noticed the obx headers to, there the ebay header right? look good good price to, and yeah my truck is a 2wd 01 ext silverado, so you say the 1 7/8 kooks headers fit......hmmmmm kooks is a bad ass brand, yeah thats what i was leaning to was the 1 7/8 type headers with the 3" collectors, planns for the exhaust were to run the headers into a custom y pipe into a flowmaster 3 in 3 out y pipe collector into a corsa sport with a qtp electric cutout somewhere in between the y and the muffler......now im deffenetly going to have the exhaust done before the new motor and charger go in do any of you think the 1 7/8 headers would lack in back pressure for my stock 5.3

all depends on your driving habbits, i would expect at least 30k-40k miles, but i really cant speak from experience cuz i go through tires like a baby goes through dipers, but my parents rides last a long time around 45k or around 2 half years, but also depends on the compound of the tire, softer compounds wear out fast then stiffer tires but yield better performance results

exactly what fireman said, and at the school i went to in houston we dyno'd a trans am before and after descreaning the maf and it did apsolutly nothing besides inturupt the signal to the computer

Looks really clean man, damn you gotta love chevrolet trucks! i had a wrecked 98 and it still looked good dont understand how those dodge, ford and toyota guys can get in there trucks everyday knowing there are gm trucks on the road!

I personally like the Nitto NT420s.....they got a really crazy looking tread design but I use to put alot of those tires on the display trucks at the dealership i used to work at and a few of my friends are running them, good sticky tire, but like all other nitto tires there going to cost a lil bit, a couple other good tires off the top of my head are the cooper zeon xst tires and kuhmo ecstas, not sure on the prices but i dont think they would be as much as the nittos.

Thanx man, yeah i reread the post and saw that it was the cats that were causing the back pressure prob, yeah iv been pretty set on the dynatechs for awhile juss been looking at some other types of headers, im juss gonna go ahead and order the dynatechs with the off-road y, i really dont have to worry about anything yet for a few months cause the 6.0l and maggie arnt coming in for a few months "gotta have the money first" thanks again man!

Idk for sure maybe its different on u alls trucks but my 01 has the auto light thing to but to turn mine off i juss hit the dome overide button 3 times and it dissables the auto lights, maybe it will work for you guys, it does on mine with no wire cutting or nothing

Been looking for a good set of headers and heard a buddy of mines trans am with the QTP long tube headers and it sounded bad ass, the stainless construction looks second to none and the design looks good with its high flow merge collector, iv had my eye on the dynatechs but those only have a 2.5 inch collector and read on another topic that they had backpressure issues with these with a supercharger, ill be putting in a LQ9 crate engine with a radix in in a few months, this might be a dumb question but was wondering if mabe these headers could fit my 01 5.3 silverado, Iv been looking around the site and found a quy running some kooks f-body headers, so would these headers fit? any info is GREATLY appreciated

Been looking at this cam for a while for my 01 5.3, anyone running this cam, says it great for a supercharger witch i plann on ordering in the next month or two, cam specs out at: DUR @ .004" 278*/ 286* DUR @ .050" 216*/ 224* * LIFT .551/.551 OVERLAP 53* LSA 115* Does anyone know if i could juss install it, what is the 5.3's max lift, Im gunna get a nelson tune for it so thats covered juss realy need to know if it will go in without changing out valve springs and such, and if i have to which springs to go with?

since were on the subject, i juss bought some callaway spark plug wires for my 01 5.3, one of my friends told me he had gotten them for his 05 5.3 and said they were to short and sent them back, i ordered mine for a 97 to 07 corvette is there a diffrence from the ls1 wires and my truck wires lenght wise, i thought all ls engines had the same outer demensions

I just wanted to know how or if its even possible to maby rewire my Bose Navigation head unit to were i can watch dvds while in drive...i know i know why watch a dvd while im driving? well not for me but for passangers....

Does this pic mean that kenne bell already has a kit out or what.... im confused isnt the new 6.0 have the same kinda heads as the previous LQ9 Or any previous LS engine other then the LS2 or LS7 if so then wouldnt any of those current supercharger kits work or at least bolt on I understand that you have to get a custom pcm tune or HP tuners program for it to run propperly but i would think they would at least bolt on ....... theres a red 07 NBS single cab on performancetrucks.net thats running a procharger and HP Tuners on his truck

go to xtralights.com they have a kit there for your fog lights kinda pricy but supposed to be really good

Idk this might be a dumb question but i wanted to know if possibly a complete rear axle from a newer truck 2003 up would bolt up to my 98 silverado 2wd i know that it it would be 6 lug and the front would be 5 lug but i can change that later....at a dealership i work at theres a complete rear axle equiped with the G80 locking diff and i can get it pretty cheap....it looks like it will bolt up but juss wanted to ask you guys first before i went through all the trouble.... all your help is greatyl appreciated

i wanted to know if any of the full length headers from a camaro or trans am would fit on a 2wd v-maxx i want to buy the QTP stainless headers and i would really appreciate it if anyone one could help me out
