  1. Well guys been awhile since iv posted up and I have changed a few things since then. The biggest thing is that I got rid of my Red 01 silverado and got me a new 2009 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 5.3 with a 6-speed. The only reason I traded my Red truck in was because I was just having to many trannsmision problems and just couldnt afford it anymore. Heres the kicker tho and i regret trading my truck in now, I went back to the dealership about a month ago and they figuard out what was wrong with the tranns all it was was the shop that was rebuilding the tranns kept putting the wrong size o rings in which kept the clutches from fully engaging. Oh well tho the trucks gone but will not be forgotten.......But on to the next project I already have the new truck tuned with a nice little exhaust setup and intake. It surpprised the hell out of me how this truck moves especially from being a big crew cab. Iv been running the truck like this for about a month already and already getting used to the power so I got a turbo for the truck. Still havnt put it in just waiting on the intercooler wastegate and BOV. The truck should really move when im done with it but im sure ill get used to that to lol.........Ill keep you all posted with updates here are some pics of the truck................... The old one GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN And the new one.... And the Power Adder.....
  2. Thats really cool man never seen that before .......
  3. Yeah im liking the way it looks more and more every day, if the truck doesnt get wraped then im going to color match the top piece of the front bumber and get some escalade door handles. By the way nice clean truck i think we might have somthing in common and thanks again to everyone for your comments and inputs.
  4. Thanks to you all for the complaments theres alot of comp on this site when it comes to looks. Some of the best looking trucks iv seen are on this site. GM trucks for life!!!!!!
  5. Before Corsa After 3" cutout OPEN Oh by the way I installed the Volant intake a few days after I did the cutout video.........
  6. yeah to bad its not a real one its just a 2001 with a 5.3.........it looks newer only because a put the 06-07 taillights third brake light and turn signal mirrors. I pretty much just updated it really
  7. yeah the one in the vid is a 4.7 my buddy just hired him and he was showing everyone how his truck ran a 14.3 at San Antonio and how he had video of it and that he would race any truck. Thats when my buddy called me up........the guy didnt hesitate to say he would prob beat me and how my truck doesnt sound like it has much, idk maybe its because i rolled up with my cutout closed idk.. .....well anyways we went out to this back road as you can see lined them up and thats when i opened my lil red head up.I dont really think this guy has raced to much as when we first lined up he went off the first honk. well we lined up again and after 3 honks took off. I beat him pretty easy. I only have one vid but we ran them 3 times 2 from a stop and 2 from a roll. When we ran from a roll i felt like i was racing myself lol. poor tundra...... at least it sounded good
  8. Well i ended up taking the corsa off because when i put the headers on and took off the cats it was permanently loud and after a couple of drives to and from work it got kind of anoying. Dont get me wrong tho i like it loud and trust me this thing screamed i was just looking for somthing a little bit different. Which brings me up to my current setup. I went and got some 3" mandrel bent pipe and ran it from the pacesetter y to the factory muffler with a 3 inch cutout right before. I really like the setup now because at a flip of the switch I can go from a slight rumble to wide open. It really works out especially on long drives. I know I could have put some high flow cats on but I used what I had at the time. I think eventually ill go back to the corsa and high flow cats the setup was custom and looked good IMO
  9. Thanks and yeah thats what I was thinking, the truck was tuned by Nelson Performance in S.A. and the tune worked great until the first time the trans went out, I have been having nothing but problems with it since then. I think ill be giving charlie a call here in a few weeks to get a tune from him...... things are starting to get expensive
  10. Well its been awhile since I have posted up some recent pics of my truck, this year has been pretty crazy I think im already through 3 or 4 trannys this year and its only the begining! I guess we will see how long this trans lasts its built but then again my last few were 2. As for tha looks I put on some Boss 313 22's and stripped some of the molding and emblems off, im still kinda debating if that was a good move or not kinda looks plain to me but then clean. Here in a few weeks the truck is gunna get a full body wrap so should look pretty good with some crazy looking graphics. Still a work in progress. Here are some pics of how the truck looks now.......... Me vs. a 14.3 Tundra
  11. Heres some pics of my truck with the corsa tips.........Excuse the diry truck Corsa sound clip
  12. Welcome to the site nice truck one of the few on this site of that body style.
  13. Hey nice truck kinda like mine and welcome, your not to far down south im up here in Corpus.
  14. Theres a few things you could do, the easiest would be to get your truck tuned and have the shop increase firmness in the tranns, or another route you could take would be to get a Trans-Go HD shift kit. You can order it from Jegs not that expesive and it will make your truck shift nice and firm. Also get a set of billit servo's like the serperior ones a few trucks on here are running or a set of corvette servos. I have a Custom tune from Nelson Performance with a Trans-Go shift kit and corvette servos, and it will break the tires loose first and second when i get on it. The only thing to remember is that you dont want your truck to shift to hard, hard isnt good for tha tranns you want it to shift firm. The way I have mine set up is the most i would go its enough for me at least, and whoever rides in my truck lol
  15. Yeah changing out an alternator in our trucks is really easy, I didnt need a cheater pipe on mine. I juss changed mine out with the 145 amp one to run the electric fans.
  16. I talked to them the other day about what was happening and there sending me a new pcm with a fresh tune, they were really cool about it so im pretty impressed with them for that. I dont really know anyone here with HPT that could check the tune for me. Im really hoping that this new pcm will fix the problems im having.
  17. Need some info and help with a problem im having. My original tranns lost 3rd and 4th a few weeks back, well when we took it apart nothing was broken or worn and the solanoids and valve body was working fine? well decided since i had the tranns out of the truck to just get it built up. put the new tranns in and about 500 miles later the same problems were happening it started to rev a lil higher then normal when it would shift to 3rd and 4th then would completly lose both gears. does anyone think this might be a tuning issue? the only reason i ask this is cuz acasionaly it will grab 3rd. my truck is tuned by nelson performance and dont get me wrong the first tune they sent me was bad ass but this second computer they sent me has been having problems wth the shifting since the beginning. when i first put it in it wouldnt go back to 1st but fixed itself after a few days and now this? i already contacted them and there going to be sending me fresh tune......hopfully this fixes whatever is happening, any idea what is going on? maybe the second computer didnt take the new tune right? i was on the hp tuners forum and there were alot of others having the same problem they said it had somthing to do with mph shifting vs. rpm shifting that if you didnt have it tuned correctly the pcm would trip out and thus cause adnormal shifting and gear losses. any help with this is GREATLY APPRETIATED
  18. Alright well took longer then expected but I finnaly got the tranny back and put in yesterday, It was one big pain in tha @$$ (Maybe because I did it in my driveway) but worth it. I had a buddy of mine build it for me here in Corpus and had him fully rebuild it. It runns pretty good with a nice FIRM shift . Im still just breaking it in figure about 1000 miles should be good.
  19. yeah thats what im hoping is all wrong with it a few clutch bands, Me and a friend dropped it from the truck yesterday so it should be back in in a week or so. The guy im going with is really good builds some real nice stuff so hopefully it doesnt happen anywhere in the near futur again.
  20. Heres the way I used to have mine set up, its just some custom bent corsa parts. It wasnt to loud sounded mean tho on WOT, the only reason i took them off was because I would rather have my exhaust dumped then to have tips showing I think it makes the truck look cleaner. Side exhaust vid
  21. Alright well as the title says my tranns finally went out, which was expected since its all stock besides a tuned in shift kit. For the past month every time I would get on it my truck would kinda feel like it was slipping in first and when it would shift to second, I knew what was allready happing.......Juss driving the other day tho my truck went to shift into 3rd and then fourth it started to rev up a little more then usuall not really worried about it but about 20 min later 3rd and 4th were gone just felt like it went into neutral, i mean if i was REALLY easy on it it would sorta move but any kind of gas and it would just slip. I think it has somthing to due with the bands. Oh well tho it was the perfect excuse to go get a built unit . I already talked to my buddy in Kingsville and hes going to fully rebuild it for be with new blue bands and some other things, hes only charging me 750 so its not that bad.......ill post up later this week to tell how it works.
  22. No you cant put ss rims on your C1500 because its a 5 lug, now if it was a 4wd K1500 then yes.
