if a 2wd was converted to awd would there need to be tuning of the pcm? and would there be any way to electronically switch from awd to 2wd... trying to have the launch of awd, yet having the fun of 2wd burnouts???

This topic was brought up onece but just wanted to see if there were more people with opinions out there. Because of the 2wd, would the truck benefit more from a vortech or from any Centrifugal super? wouyld the radix or a root super be to much power from the get go?? If I'm understanding the differemces right, that seems to make sense. Anyone have any thoughts on 2wd supers??

just out of curiosity is the 408 and 6.0 bored out and do people use the LQ9? Have people done LS2 swapps and how much of an improvement is that? When doing an engine swapp what all has to be changed and modified?

just wanted to know if a different t stat is noticable as far as the warrenty goes?

So I was just driving along the other day talking to my friend, stopped at a red light when a rcsb hemi pulled up next to me and says have you done anythiung to your ss because ive beat them before, and before i knew it the light was green and i was trying to play catch up. It seems like his third pulled way harder. when i caught up to him he said he had a exhaust, k&n, throttle body, and superchip. he said i had a fast truck but what he did to his made it a lot faster so from about 25 he said hit it. so i did and he hit it then again it seemed like he was pulling on me in third he didn't pass me because we had to shut it down and then he turned so i never really got a straight up light with him I'm not sure what would have happened but anyone have any thoughts? I have a o6 ss with dual in/out magnaflow and volant cai

I was reading about joe gibbs super charger package, anybady know anything more about them, from what i understand they keep the truck in the warrenty, ( the reason for not getting a radix now) any knowledge would be great thanks??

Got a couple of races in tonight. First was the STI wich you can all guess how that turned out, the first time was from a 10mph roll and he just left me in the dust as I heard the turbo get farther away. the next time was from a stop well that turned out pretty much the same way, but it was fun and and I couldn't stop laughing. The next thing i ran was a chrysler crossfire. From a stop sign my buddy looked at him and gave hime the nod we started off slow and about 10 mph he was at about my rear wheels and he hit it, so i went hammer down too. I think he was suprised because he never caught up to me and a started pulling on him slightly to about 70 when we shut it down. It was a lot of fun very happy with the SS!

Hey went to irwindale last thursday and ran the 1/8 mile for the first time in my 06 ss here are the times R/t -1.007 60- 2.176 330- 6.251 1/8-9.641 mph-73.15 I'm pretty sure my R/T sucks, I have Volant CAI and magna flow dual in out catback. Didn't know how those times were for those mods? I am going again thursday but this time i am going without a full tank of gas and taking out my subs. Anyone have any advice for launching the 2wd??

Thinking about going down to iwirndale to run the 06 ss all it has is Volant CAI and magnaflow catback, but i want to see how it does, anyone else going?

Hey just saying hey i got a new ss about 1 1/2 months ago. I love it and already have a volant and dual in dual out magnaflow. i want to mod it more. The forums have been great and helpfull so thanks to everyone! Also anyone know if a pcmfor less will void my warrenty?

Hey I'm new to this site with about a one and a half month old 06 ss, I've already put a new volant and dual in duel out magna flow. Anyways I was on my way to the gym and this new toyato matrix pulls up to me and starts reving it. He give me a nod and i just look at at and smile. Well the light turned green and that was the end of him. It was my first kill if its even that. It was fun though and i want to mod out my truck and race more!
