New Ls7 Block On The Way
BlownFogger540 replied to BlownFogger540's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Thanks for your input Zippy! and all others Will be waiting on the LSX block said the new batch should ship around the 20th One thing I notice coming from a BBChevy background is the differance between that and the parts that LS owners choose to tell you the truth Mahle or Diamond would not even make the list for a peformance/race piston in a BBC, not to flame on them its just that I have never seen them used. -

I build my own engines and tranys, but till now they have been 496ci to 632ci N/A N2o and roots blown, the reason I ask about pistons is if you look at the LS piston its not a very strong design small ring lands, and very short skirt some piston manufacters have a good design some dont, for my blown and N2o engines id like to see a min of .325" for a top ringland and a .170" for the secound but with the LS you cant get that with a 4.00" stroke piston. -

Is there any way to tell what trim the blower is ? all it says is V-2 ? it does blow alot of air even at a idle 750 rpm that is I was using a brand new phantomII electric gauge for boost was going to double check with the gauge out of my race car but never got around to it before the engine died! -

If it can kill a new 505hp vette in the 1/4 that is, I will be happy, but think if the AWD drivetrain stays together it will be high 10's 04chase seems to kill only tranys from what ive seen with a little less torque. -

The BOSS transmission comes with only the finest components and is built to be the highest standard on the market. This is the third level of transmission in my organization, and is built to take a beating by you, and to give a beating to others in every way. Guaranteed to be the toughest, meanest, most durable transmission on the market at its level. When you have this transmission in your car or truck you will know who the Boss is on the standards of horsepower and torque at the street, strip, or hill. The person taking control will be you! THE BOSS Comes with: A Goodfellas reprogramming kit (which means we rework the valve body and go through it completely to make sure there are no stuck valves). The 13 Z-PAC from Raybestoes(which replaces the factory 5 clutches in the 3-4 drum). The 13 clutches are heat treated steels that withstand more heat, which in turn gives you more life of the transmission. Raybestoes high temp energy clutches throughout the rest of the unit, along with all new steels, bushings, and rings. Sonnaxs' .500 boost valve (which ensures a nice crisp clean shift with no delays). 4140 hardened pump rings Teflon Pump bushing (which allows more abuse) 13 vane pump rotor 29 element sprag Sonnax Wide Open Throttle Valve Sonnax Sunshell (which is three times thicker than factory). Hardened input shaft and drum. 3 inch wide Kevlar band 5 pinion planetary Corvette servo (which has 30% more holding power, which will give you that full throttle shift with out burning up the band). We block off the 1,2,3,4 accumulators to give you a solid and firm crisp shift, and discard the springs in the accumulator because sometimes they will break and create problems.

Trans Parts On The Road Wtf!
BlownFogger540 posted a topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
Yesterday came home on a flat deck tow truck, driving along at cruise speed my truck all of a sudden felt like the brakes were dragging then I hear this bang and parts dancing on the road, found a couple PCs and new rite away where they came from it was part of the trans apply pistons housing that had broke off and let the billet pistons fly on the side of the trany, and I think to myself If it weren't for bad luck id have no luck at all !!!!! Any ideas on why this would happen ? -
Are you still selling these parts, since your pops bought your truck then ??

Would You Run This Spark Plug Wire?
BlownFogger540 replied to YenkoChevelle69's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
If you wanna see if there is a problem with it put it on in a open spot like #4 then get a water mist sprayer, start your engine have some one bring up the rpms and spray the area, if its leaking voltage you should hear or see it, or as my uncle said to me once hold on to it and tell me what happens Lol -
