  1. Beautiful truck and beautiful little girl! You have me a little worrired because I'll need a fullsize car seat soon and I am wondering if all child seats don't fit or just the brand that you had? Seems like you could have gotten a different brand carseat that would fit, so you could keep the truck.
  2. I bought one and it does look great but the entire bottom part where the "Silveradso SS" is engraved, sticks down behind the top of the bumper so you can't see it. It just ends up looking llike a plain chrome plate cover.
  3. If you get the Speedsturr model then you get to keep your spoiler on. Its fits right over it with no problem.
  4. I'm interested in the PCM. I'm sending you a PM.
  5. Sounds good. Maybe a billet grille and a mild drop if it won't hinder your towing needs. I live down on the Gulf coast and its good to hear you saved a SS.
  6. Damn, that sucks balls man. Hopefully you will get a replacement soon. How long did it take to arrive from when you placed your order?
  7. Not to be a smart ass but I don't think you have ever seen the factory gov lock. They do use clutches. Ok no problem, I just didn't think the G80 uses the clutch packs typically found in a regular limited slip or positrac. I thought it was more like a gear locker. Thanks for the info.
  8. Here's what I did when I changed out all my tranny fluid to Amsoil synthetic: # Remove the upper transmission line from the radiator (only a little fluid will drip, if any, because it's higher than the transmission). The trans cooler line is on the passenger side of the radiator. The line on the driver side of the radiator is for the engine oil cooler. Learned this first hand. # Screw a short fitting into the radiator that you can attach a piece of tubing. [Go to AutoZone and ask for a brass fuel fitting, stock #323319. It will fit perfectly after you remove the quick-connect from the radiator, and give you an extension to attach 5/16”-7/16” clear vinyl tubing. Use teflon tape for a good seal (don't forget to use the tape when you replace the quick-connect). Get about 4 feet, because if it's coiled tightly, you'll never get it completely straightened out.] # Clamp the tubing onto the fitting you put in the radiator and run the tubing over the radiator support and out the front of the truck into a gallon or larger jug. Tape a big nut as a weight on the end of the tube to keep it in the jug, or ask a helper to hold it. [if your bottle is lower than the tranny, you'll continue to siphon fluid as you drain the tranny. MAKE SURE TO EMPTY YOUR BOTTLE AND CLEAR THE LINE BEFORE YOU GO OFF TO DO SOMETHING ELSE!] # Start the truck. Fluid will start pumping out the tube into the jug. Watch the tube until you see bubbles or hear a bubbling sound and then immediately shut the truck off. It will take about 30 seconds and pump out 3-4 qts of fluid. # Add 3-4 qts new fluid, empty the jug, and start it up again as before. Watch for bubbles, then shut the truck off. # Add 3-4 qts, empty the jug, start, watch for bubbles, and shut down. If you really want to be assured you have 100% fluid change, add 2 more qts and repeat. If the fluid was dirty, or the new fluid is a different color, you will see the color change in the clear tubing, which is an indication that you have cycled through all the fluid in the tranny and convertor. # Remove the tubing, replace fitting with the tranny line (don't forget the Teflon tape!), fill the tranny to the full line, then start and check the fluid level when the truck warms up. Top off to line on dipstick
  9. There have been posts here about not using any additive (friction modifier) to the Eaton G80. I don't believe they use clutch packs like a regular limited slip or positrac so no additive is needed. I just swapped all fluids to Amsoil in the engine, front and rear diffs, tranny and xfer case. Mobil1 is good too. MPG seems to be up about +.6 to.8 too.
  10. When you get time, post a pic. Here's a pic of mine. The K&N style runs close to the radiator shroud.
  11. What is the stock torque converter's stall speed?
  12. I bought this one from the same seller. K&N FIPK $194 total shipped
  13. I have read that the Corsa is relatively quiet. You may be happier with a Magnaflow or Flowmaster system. I have the Flowmaster 50 series and it has a deep tone that you can hear all the time but its not overbearing. I have always liked the louder 40 series but the 50 series was already on the truck when I bought it. Here is a clip that someone posted of the 50 series 50 series sound
  14. Are you requesting a sig or offering to do one? If you are offering, I'll send you some pics.
  15. I love mine and also decided to not use the brake duct pieces. i put them in but it was "too much". Looks good man!
  16. I would go ahead and get another 40 series muffler since you already purchsed one. The long tubes will flow better and give some power increase, more on a supercharged application though. I'm not sure how much power increase you would see without the blower. Maybe someone who has them will chime in.
  17. I know the feeling. I have the SS, a Explorer, a S10, a motorcycle, and my wife has a Mustang, and a Jeep. The 2 car garage and my 30X40 shop is full. At least evrything is paid off except the SS.
  18. Kinda like boobs! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, for boobs, its "see one set, and then you want to see them all"
  19. Just got mine in and got it on in less than 30 min. I still have the grilles for the air ducts but thought it looked better without them. Seems like a high quality product.
  20. Thats exactly what I was going to type. Then when you get there you can ask him why he lied and then tell him to sell it for the $1400 or you will report him or sue him or something. Its worth it just to see the look on this dick's face
  21. Well the dealer said it was covered under 3yr/36mo so I told them I'd drop the battery off and let them test it and if it tests bad they can give me a replacement. The dealership said I had to leave the truck with them also. I told them I already had the battery tested and it showed a dead cell and don't know why they can't just let me leave them the battery. They said they were backed up and it would be possibly all day before they could get to it. I would have to have someone follow me 30 miles to the dealership and bring me back home. Then I would need a ride back to pickup my truck. So all that for a free battery just wasnt worth it. I just went and spent $60 on a new battery. Dealerships piss me off!!!
  22. Ok cool. I'm not far from you. Maybe we can hookup one day.
