  1. Tune the truck, you will smash on a 5.3L like nothing. Torque management is very bad on these trucks and with bolt ons you will gain more power.
  2. I'll see if I can make it, if not this week maybe next week. I'm all stock though, but down to run.
  3. At irwindale speedway?
  4. Nice grill bro, your SS looks awesome with the grille and the H.I.D's.
  5. Almost 400 dollars a month.
  6. I wanna run a tundra, but none of the tundra owners wanna run.
  7. Thanks for the replies, I need to put more bolt ons and go looking for Tundras to beat. Your truck on the dyno sounds awesome bro.
  8. Cool, I'll look into the trans go shift kit and the servo's. Yeah, get rid of the hand held and go with the custom tune.
  9. Nice Yukon bro, I had a 2003 Suburban and these SUV's are really reliable. It should last u a long time if you take care of it.
  10. For my truck I would like to get this: H.I.D Lights For My Low Beam Headlamps & Fog Lamps Drop It 2" In The Front & 4" In The Rear AEM Cold Air Intake 160 Thermostat Borla Exhaust Viper Alarm Like I Had In My 2003 Suburban. Alpine Amp & Sub
  11. Yeah, dude go with a custom tune. I went with a dyno tune on my V-Max and it is a completely different truck. Hand helds are a waste of money. You can customize your truck way more with a custom tune and it is way cheaper than a hand held.
  12. I also went and did a dyno tune of my V-Max and here is the paper of what it made. I went Saturday morning and got it tuned, and it drives way better right now. I removed 80% torque management, took off the 3 second delay, turned off 4 cylinder mode and I put the limiter at 130mph. Are these good numbers for a stock V-Max?
  13. What kind of shift kit would be good?
  14. My first car was a brand new 2006 Chevrolet Silverado LT which was more close to an LS, it had the 5.3L , fog lamps, steering wheel controls, 17" rims. It was a pretty nice truck and then I bought a 1985 Camaro Z28 it had the carbed 305 with the 5 speed manual transmission. And then I sold to one of my friends who modified it pretty sick. Then I traded in my 2006 Silverado on a brand new 2007 Silverado Vortec Max LTZ which is awesome.
  15. That's when I had my 2006 Silverado 5.3L, a month later I got my Vortec Max.
  16. I got the day off at work today, probably go out and do some stuff.
  17. You got smoked by an F-150? Never had that happen to me, except to the Ford Lightning. Did u lose to Ford Lightning? If u wanna build some power get Volant or AEM Cold Air Intake, exhaust, headers, a tune. With some bolt on it should really wake up your truck.
  18. Don't all SS come with steering wheel controls?
  19. Pretty sure they aren't that fast because the stock tune is limiting power for the Dodge Ram. I like what toyota did they actually put the big engine in the short cab, I wish GM would do this. The new 6.2 and 6 speed is going to be available in the new Silverado, but I heard only in the crew cab. That's stupid, why not in an extended cab or short cab? Is it really that hard to put the big engine in the short cab for GM?
  20. If you're going to run a Chevy Silverado better run a 6.0 because a Tundra will smoke a 4.8 and 5.3L. Don't bother running 4.8 and 5.3. A modded 6.0 will give u a good run.

    2007 Ss

That SS badge doesn't look right next to the Vortec Max badge. At least take off the V-Max badge before putting on another badge.
  22. I think GM will never do that. The 6.2L and 6 speed auto will be available on the new Silverado, but I heard it will be only available on the crew cab. I want the 6.2L and 6 speed auto on an extended cab, but I don't think GM is even going to do that.
  23. I got 27,000 miles on my 2007 Vortec Max LTZ.
  24. I say you should go for the SS cluster and it will also bring up the look of your truck interior wise.
  25. What badges are u going to take off? I took off all the badges except the Vortec Max badge. Looks way better without the badges.
