i got a 160 stat a while ago to go with my tune. ever since i put it in the lower radiator hose has never got hot. the block up to the stat housing is hot and from the stat down its cold. i have removed the heater hose. i have drained the fluid and redid the purge. it still wont get warm. my temp guage is reading correct about 185 and i have insane heat still. could it not be opening still? wouldnt i overheat if it wasnt tho? maybe its a bad stat? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks rob

ok guys this was the first time i have ever raced at a track and obviously the only times i have run the ss. its an 03 with 50K and black making it a little faster than the others obviously lol. i was kinda nervous. i have an intake, stat, wheatley tune, and exhaust. my best R/T was .529, my best mph was 92.64 and the best time it ran was a 14.606. im proud if it, i figured 14.8. so no complaints here. anyone have any input. thanks rob

clips hold all of the speed grilles in, except the top of the main grille since the plastic goes all the way back too far for a clip to hold it. so they give you zip ties to hold it. i might get some black chrome door trim to put arond the stock gray plastic grille that exists since its molded all as one i cut the x out and trimmed it flush

ok so i got my street scene black chrome speed grille finally. i love the way it looks from a distance but up close it looks like crap. you can see all the clips holding it in and the top says to be zip tied which looks even more like crap. anyone else have any other methods of attaching it? i cut my stock plastic grille out with a dremel which i think is a must since you can see it under it if you keep it. yes there are two blue zip ties i ran out of black, they will get replaced when i go to work and get black ones. but you can see the black ones too and the clips under and it doesnt fit the sides tight against the grille shell. ugh! haha

SWEET! exhausts are sexy. haha i feel the same way about the luck. everytime i wanna do a mod to my truck that i see everyone on here do with no problems. my fathers freaks and says all these problems im gonna have and crap, and we fight about it and i do it anyway. and always have a problem lol. figures

the canister vent wasnt venting on ours, and the tank wouldnt fill with gas cuz of the vapor coming back out the fuel filler would keep shutting off the pump. what a pain in the you know what. hope you get that cleared up, seems like you guys are on top of this.
