  7. Idk what kind of muffler to go with. Flow master? And I had the pro streets. Now have the super pro streets. The pros were deeper and a bit louder all the time. The supers are a bit mellower at idle but that's about it lol. I don't have room for resonators.
  8. ok. never thought i would say this but my exhaust is too loud! not the sound of the exhuast but the drone/resonation/reverb! it literally makes me feel like my ears are bleeding, its not the sound from the muffler, almost like when your back window is open and u get that reverb of air like a helicopter sound. right before it shifts your head is on the verge of exploding! sounbs sick when u get on it tho. i have American Racing 1 3/4 headers into custom pipes with 3" hi-flow magnaflow spun cats, running into an x pipe then a few feet later two 3" spintech super pro street mufflers out the stock location. i used to have pro street mufflers running out the side before the rear tire and i never had this. could it be the pipes under bed? the mufflers with one less baffle? what can i do to get rid of this? adding resonators to the exhaust isnt going to happen, i have enough going on under there. i can either run it back out the side which will be louder but might cut back on the ear bleeding. or change the mufflers. i want loud and raspy and like the sound of chambered mufflers but this is ridiculous. my friends rumble bee was quiet inside and just as loud as mine with flows. corsa doesnt offer just a muffler, or even a dual in/out muffler. opinions please! thanks
  9. ok i think im going to order my converter since it takes 4-5 weeks. going multi disc. i also got my heads today thanks to gi.ss. gotta send them out 4-5 week turnaround as well.

  11. so many conflicting opinions. this thread is a lot of single disc and pt.net is a lot of multi! I asked if there would be any difference between the two daily driving on the road, and I was told none, I would feel no difference between the two converters
  12. my tuner is a moderator on here and knows his stuff. absolutely reputable and I trust him. just don't know why the companies and my tranny guy are so confused as to why I want a multi disc.
  13. you basically have what my truck will have when im done. im trying to decide if I should get a multi disc or a single converter. tranny guy and both companies said don't lock up at wot, but I know my tuner feels different. reliability is more important than how fast I can do a 1/4 pass. so I prob wont lock it up. but I also want to do it right so do I get a multi? or do I save a bunch of money cuz the single will be just fine?
  14. I have a 2003 Silverado ss. approx. 5500lb, 500hp projected, awd. I was set on ordering a 3400 multidisc lockup converter based on what I have read on the forums and have been told by members as well as friends who have a lot of experience with performance mods on these trucks. I talk to my tranny guy about it and he says "why??" you only need a single, trust me. so I call PI and ProTorque both say the same thing. no need for a multi that I should find out why I need one because if im going to blow it it will happen at wot lockup, which it should NOT be tuned for. with the stats on my truck both companies and my trans guy cant understand why I want a multidisc. that the single will hold 6-800 easy. so whats your opinion?? daily driver!

  17. we have a record amount of rain for this month. it hasnt rained like 3 days this month. nothing bad yet just tons and tons of rain.
  18. i have read endlessly but i just dont know anyhting about heads. its like jibberish to me lol. most of the head cam stuff i can find is on ls1.com but idk the differences in their engines and setups compared to ours. im gonna call some vendors and get schooled. thanks for your help
  19. yeah i just dont know which heads to go with. i will have to call around and see what kind of prices, time line and availability.

  21. this is my daily driver. i cant have stuff sent out. i gotta install it same day lol. thats around the price TSP has for a head/cam package. i have been reading endlessly! i would like to have an idea of what i want before i call a company. there are tons of 228r swaps on here and i cant find much in the head department....i know i know, sounds like a personal problem
  22. ok im going with an FLT Level 5 tranny, PI Vigilante multidisc 9.5" (3200-3400)converter, TSP 228r 112lsa cam. got the efans and 8.1 marine injectors. Question! which heads should i get?? i plan on getting a head and cam package from Texas Speed. they have pretty good package prices. just not sure which heads will work and what i should go with? im told there might be clearance issues with the L92s even tho they seem popular. also that will accept my stock intake.thanks
  23. his other hood was like the zr1 hood with the preview window. didnt know he was making a new one. ill have to shoot him a text. cool idea but cant you buy that hood with the fipper door?
