1 Fast SS

I always wondered what the diff. was between the two. some say the 2wd will catch up to th AWD. at about 50 or 60 because of the weight. True? I know that I lost 110lbs. on mine, because of taking off the spare tire (75lbs.) and the tow rack (35lbs.) the truck launchs much better know, and does a smok'n burnout. So the weight has to play a roll.

it would be a very close race, but being 2wd the biggest problem the SS will have is traction. that would be the reason behind how the race turns out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really, because we have a traction control button. We have the option of lighting them up, or launching like a rocket.

I have read some of those titan talk street races before too. Those guys think they own the road. There is no contest stock for stock. And yeah, their right when the SSS has its tune, damn it man look out! I pulled up nest to one today going home from work. There was two guys in the truck, and he revved at me. Well, we really couldn't race becaue of traffic, but I showed him the power of my truck. I just had my tuned too. When the light turned green, I let the tires loose for about 75 feet all the way through 3rd gear. All the people in there cars were looking a around, like what the hell?!. When the guys in the Titan came up to the nex t light, they had a look of WOW, and then gave a thumbs up. I asked them if they wanted to go, and they said nah, that's ok. I think I will join the Titan site, and give some of my 2 cents. Mr. Blackhemi, your truck cannot beat an SSS with the 2wd drive, stock for stock, its much lighter without the AWD. It would be a close race, but it depends on so many different things. If the SSS had stock 17" wheels on our trucks, then there would be no comparison.

For all you Vegas guys, I heard there is an event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Nov. 17th, from 7:00pm to Midnight. If you can make it, please do. I'd like to run some of you guys and see what my truck can do. I just got a custom tune from Frank from Revalotion Raceworks while he was Vegas for the Sema show, and it runs great.

You might want to take those stickers off until you do get the 400hp, otherwise, you might get smoked.

What color is your truck? And its RCSB? There was guy today in a RCSB gray hemi at walmart on American Pacific and Stephine. He kept on looking at me or my truck, one of the two. I just waved, but he didn't wave back. Must not have been you I guess.

That's why I think the SS and the regular hemi would be a good race. I don't care what the mags say, its all about varibles. Driver, air temp. roads, traction, etc. Sometimes I wish the SS came with 18''s on them, it would make it much faster!

Its an 06', so it only comes in 2wd. I like the 2wd better anyway, that way I can smoke the tires. I really love the traction control on it. One push of the button and off you go like a rocket, I can also use the tow/haul button with the traction control. it puts you into a deeper gear. Then you really launch. My first month that had my truck, there was a Dodge Daytona that kept egging me on. I didn't want to race because it was brand new, and I didn't break it in yet. But I gave in. We were at a light, and both lauched, he got me off the line for about 5ft., because you guys have the 3:92 axle and the SS only has the 3:73. My truck pulled on him fast, and started pulling away. Then, about an 1/8 mile, I could feel the torque really kick in on my truck. By the time we reach about a 1/2 mile or so, I had about 10 trucks on him. I heard that Dodges only go to about 80 mph, and shut down. Mine was at 112 when I left off. The cool thing was, it was still pulling hard at 112, I couldn't believe it. So this might answer the other guys question about SS vs Hemi. Now, if I was racing a QC hemi, I would have killed him.

All I've done so far is put a hooker aerochamber muffler on, which is loud as hell by the way, and a Volant cold air intake system. I plan on doing a tune from one of the guys on here from Zippy, then in the near future, I'm getting my pacesetter long tubes, true duals, cam, and a procharger. You might get me from the start, because you have 17's on there. Believe it or not, but it does make a big difference. I work at lake of las vegas right now, cuz I'm finishing up some towers that I built across from the Ritz. So I drive from Stephine street to 215 to lake mead dr., all the way to lake of las vegas. You know my truck when see something in the back window that says, " Yeah, it'll whoop a Hemi" in chrome letters.

Catco high flows are suppose to good also. But the stockers are good too. You only get about a 3 HP gain, so are they worth the $$$?

Ok, then my next question is. Is your pipe size 2.75? And which is better, dual in and single out, or dual in, dual out? I'm wondering if the dual out would be louder dumped. Or would I lose performance? Also do you have link for this muffler.

Do you think its deeper or the same as a flowmaster? Flowmaster has a deep tone, but suck for HP.

Hey guys, I have chance to buy a Billy Boat catback system for a very good price, but I don't know that much about them. Does anybody have one? Or heard the sound of one? I heard they have a very deep thoaty sound, and thats what i'm looking for. But I don't know how they perform. I went on B&B's website to check out the sound, but the closest to the SS would be the Cadillac 6.0. Your options sure would help.

Yeah I know the 19th hole. I live behind it. What color is you truck? Maybe I've seen you around. I see a black one and a birch silver one around my house. There is also a red one too that a girl drives. I'm tring to find that person that drives that red truck. They have the most awsome sounding exhuast that I've ever heard. Everytime they would drive by my house, it would shake the windows!! That's what I want in my truck. Do you know this person?
