  1. Willing to do another..hmmmm.. i a not sure.. It was a family deal my uncle Artie has worked for ATI for 10 years..he did most of it on his own time utilizing there shop. I doubt he would want to do another one...but I will ask him about it.
  2. 4l80 with alot of silly stuff that A.T.I made for it to work with the AWD... A.T.I Is locatd in Baltimore Maryland..they do TONS of drag racing vertors and trannies.
  3. Well I finally got the truck back together and it is running.. the initial dyno numbers on a little tunning were decent... I am now installing the ?FAST computer with bank to bank set up.as I think the stocker cant keep up.... I dont know how to post dyno graphs on here bu maybe someone can help me... it laid down 738 hp 681 ftlb... on 11 lbs of boost... 18 degree of timing.... there is plenty left in it... I cut the testing off @ 5500 rpm....... it is going to pull to around 6800-7000. I would just like to thank S.A.M and Kenny Dutwieler for all the elp and pointers. The alky injection is going to happen soon.... As well as 19lbs of boost!!!!! Does not look like I will see track this year....but If it makes it down the track next year...alot of records will be shatterd..... also Got some custom 4 " oval exhaust being fabbed up... Thanks tyson !
  4. The motor will have PLENTY to spin the f1R. It has allready been dyno proven with out the blower. We will see how it pans out.. Waiting for Cometic gaskets. And my Shaft mount rockers. Also, I know that the blower would prob. take about 250 hp just to turn over... But thats ok..... Thats what the Big cubes/big heads/ good convertor are for. Plus a little giggle spray for launching.

  7. Believe me there are more people to worry about then Chase... Mine should be completed in 2 weeks.. It is going to Shock all the Nutswingers! I like to keep my projects underwraps until they are complete but I am guessing with a 408 ETP 240CC heads, f1R (18lbs)with custom direct port / 4l80e w 3600 ATI tree master. Also a FAST ECM, wilson sheet metal intake. I look for 800 at all 4's with out the juice. Trust me it will run the Number.

  11. I know.... But i was stating I think the Rline had different gearing from the solstice GXP. I was making the comparison as what saturn usually changes somthing to be less race cr like.. I do realize the other r line(ion) and SS cobalt are Supercharged........

  15. I thought about adding just a muffler... Saving money is a concern...but if that was my only concern I would have a set of OBX or pacesetters on the truck..I like the way the tips look on the corsa..I guess I could get a custom exhaust with the side exit before the rear tire for less then corsa ehaust. I just like the idea of all stainless exhaust...even if it is heavy. I wish I could get a fair price on the custom before rear tire..but then ...I fear the Drone involved..and the fumes?!
  16. Really in the market for a set of headers, so After lookin for good deals and so fourth. I notice that stainless works makes a very good looking header. With cats and y it was 1100. I was going to get the dynatechs...but for a few hundred in savings..... I wanted to get opinions of anyone that has installed/purchased these.. I am really paranoid about fitment. I will not buy headers that are known to have fitment issues(pacesetter). Also if anyone else can get better pricing on a nice set-up with cats. I have still not ruled out Dynatech as they have revised there tubes for better wire clearance. So Let me know your thoughts guys!..This will either be attached to a Corsa Touring or sport
  17. I heard the R-lines are more like 14.3 14.5 I think there is diff. gearing or somthing in the trans or rear.. I know the cobaltss/ion redline are like that
  18. IMO.....the 66-67 Novas are my Fav. by far! They are getting very hard to find ..and they sell well..I love them so much.. Very nice car!

  21. Well..First and foremost....... You WILL NOT gain ANY HP with a ported TB........... Unless your cfm from the TB is the bottle neck in your set-up... In otherwords... if your engine only can consume 800 cfm a WOT having 1000 cfm available makes no difference. Imagine this... You have a glass ...the glass can only hold a maximum of 12 oz of water.....What happens when you try and pour 14 oz water.. it overflows and thus you wasted you water..Same concept. So... Yes in theory ..more fuel more air more power..but When you can't feed it anymore there will be no gains. I believe the Stack will only gain tq until a certain point(from the velocity) once thats done you will not have the volume a high RPM to make the same HP...... Think this.......... You have a single plane intake on a standard chevy that is 10" hight(think like super victor, or holley dominator) these are good for about 7000-8000 RPM.... take the same set-up shorten the runners..(ie... performer or torquer intake) now you have created a bottle neck.. you will gain TQ from the added velocity... but the intake will not have the high rpm nuts the engine needs to make the same hp and more TQ. Hope this clears things up for you guys!
  22. Well.... I was out last night enjoying the awesome weather (61 and NO HUMIDITY) So...I was looking for a little fun.. Well after a few attempts from other Ricers,( lancer..not EVO and a Civic SI) I decided I would actually not try these vehicles as they were driving really Stupid..it's one thing to get a run... nice straight road....no other vehicles ..no entrrances or ramps on said road.... but these clowns were just weaving in and out ...passing on the shoulder...all the stuff I DONT DO... So finally after an hour of VERY light crusing.... I get to a red light and low and behold...an new eclipse with a V6 (mivec or somthing) and next to him was a new reg cab 2500 dodge P/u. Cummins powered... As from what I could tell from the sound of the Cummins it AT LEAST had EXHAUST...... I figured it would be a decent race for me...But I thought the eclipse would take me .......as I have seen some with MINOR mods run low 14's.... The one I was next to had some sort of exhaust(actually sounded kind of ballsy) So..The light turns green..(already had her stalled up slightly) I jump about 1-1.25 lengths on the eclipse ( it was def. spinning the tires...I held that lead until about 90-95 Figuring thats about my MPH in the quarter. The dodge was prob. 4 lengths back or . so..(was giving most of my attention ahead of me.).... I was pretty happy with the SSS... Took out 2 in one shot.... the guy in the Eclipse was stunned as we both pulled over up the road a bit, and he asked what was done...I told she was mostly stock... He said it did very well and he ran his car to a 14.7 so I guess thats not bed for the SSS. Anyway.. would he have won with traction..? I think It would have been ALOT closer.... and I am sure after 90-95 he would prob. pull away... but none the less.... AWD FTW!
