  1. I will be using a STS turbo kit not an underhood front mount kit since I have two in the garage just collecting dust. I was thinking of upgrading the turbo to a GT76 if it is not to big for my application. Yes, everything is going to be built for boost with forged crank, billet rods, forged pistons etc. I am looking for a good f/i piston right now. I am shooting for 9:1 and 15psi on pump(91 octane) gas but I will start at 12psi and work my way up until I get knock. I might also get a tune for racing(100+ octane) gas and more boost and timing.
  2. Off topic... Nice avatar I sorts missed the the one you had before this last one. Also, the women in your old sig too...
  3. I read a post a while back ago about an Australian company selling a complete system that included a small tank(sump) with a fuel pump and lines ready to go. It was supposed to help by not allowing the pump to go dry when launching hard. I will go back and see if I can find that post.
  4. Was that 800 hp with the nitrous or without? If it was with nitrous how much were you spraying? Any tranny problems at that level?
  5. To bad that is not "You need a sponsor?" Chase, how much hp do you think your current setup is making and how much do you think you fuel can manage safely?
  6. Is a 9:1 cr to high for 15 lbs of boost? I will be using a i/c and probably meth too.
  7. I think I am going to stick with the 6.0 heads and just have them p&p for $1000 with better/bigger valves and springs. I am going to turbo it so I don't want to pay 2-3K for heads. I need to get a good set of forged pistons to habdle the turbo.
  8. I live is southern Cali but the truck is from Sinaloa. I have family there also so I go very often.
  9. Update. I just picked up a Callies Dragonslayer 4" forged crank and I allready had Billet Oliver rods so now I just need some pistons. What do you guys recommend and what cr?
  10. What would be better(best bang for the buck)? 1. P&P the 5.3 heads 2. Buy the 6.0 heads and have them P&P 3. Buy some P&P Edlebrock heads for $2300 - Flow 330I 250E What is a good price for P&P the heads?
  11. What would be better(best bang for the buck)? 1. P&P the 5.3 heads 2. Buy the 6.0 heads and have them P&P 3. Buy some P&P Edlebrock heads for $2300 - Flow 330I 250E What is a good price for P&P the heads?
  12. I came accross a LQ4(iron 6.0) for $600 plus $200 for the heads if I want them. Is that a good deal? Should I use the heads as is or have them p&P? Would there be any benefit since I will be runing 15 psi? What intake would you guys recommend?
  13. Black2003SS, thanks I did not know the 5.3 could go that big. I had read you could use 5.7 pistons but I did not know you could make it a 427ci. What would be the benefit of using a 6.0 block if the 5.3 can also go 408?
  14. Here is a pic of my other truck. It is a 2005 Ram 2500 RCSB ThunderRoad Hemi Sport. They don't make that here either. lol. First, they don't make Regular cabs in 2500 or in a 5 lug. Secondly, the Hemi Sport is only sold as a quad cab here(reg cabs with that spoiler kit were called Rumble Bees here Yellow/Black). Lastly, it have 5 leaf spring like the 2500 vs 4 for the 1500 here. But all that doesn't matter because what does matter is the fact the the pink slip says 2500 RCSB so gthat is what it is. BTW, they make Cadilac in a pickup truck there also and it is not the Escalade, Excalade ESV or Escalade EXT(those are also sold there). It is a RCSB with the front of the Cadilac, dash w/gauges, door trim etc. and you buy it at the Cadilac dealer and it is titled/registered as a Cadilac. Many other countries sell vehicles we don't sell here.
  15. ..............................Thats funny Not even worth it.
  16. You wouldn't be the firt SRT(4,6,8 or 10) I have beat, even slightly modded Hemi's can beat them and I am not slightly modded, lol. BTW, SRT10KLLR is from the 2005 Ram Hemi not the Chevy I just got. The Ram has a stroked 6.1(now 6.8L) from a SRT-8 and a STS turbo kit. When finished with the Chevy it will also be an SRT-10 KILLER!
  17. There is always someone faster. Do you want to try me? If I loose I will race you the little Hemi.
  18. It stands for 400rwhp, lol. At least it ill when I am done with it.
  19. Is that a CAMPER I see on your SS, lol. j/k The Fords used to have a "Fighter" sticker and the Dodges a "Runner" one but the new styles no longer have any, yet. They come from the dealers like that though. They sell the Cadilac truck over there that is titled and registered as a RCSB.
  20. The truck is what it is why would I take the stickers off if that is how they come. Check out my other thread in the engine section as I want to make it a little faster.
  21. The SS is just a name like Hunter, NightRunner etc. The 2500 is because they rate trucks by load/tow capacity. They install different leaf springs to be able to handle more load. The 1500's over there are the Nissan, Toyota etc. Hey guys I need some help making this thing go....
  22. That one is, lol. I am going to build it up and put a STS on it since I have some kits in the garage collecting dust.
  23. It is only sold in Mexico but it is just a Stepside 5.3L.
  24. They are only sold in Mexico. They are no different that a stepside here. If I can stroke it to a 400ci that would be sweet though.
