  1. IMO, if a vehicle is based on a car platform/frame then it is a car. Size shouldn't matter(that is what she said) so a Chevy Luv is still a truck and so is the Silverado 2500. Also, I think of removable beds when considering it a truck. So a Blazer or Bronco would be SUV's not pick-up trucks. Just my .02
  2. My Silver 04 SRT-10 is the worlds fastest production street truck period, lol. It was recently booted off of the Guinness Book by the Ausie Sport-Ute(A.K.A. El Camino) but it really isn't a truck at all so I still consider the SRT-10 to be the "fastest production truck". IMO, fastest means "Top Speed" where quickest means "1/4 and/or 0 - 60". Here is a pic of mine:
  3. Your stock(narrow-band) O2's are not very good for tuning because they are choppy. I have a Autometer narrow-band O2 in the Hemi and it can swing from the 13's A/F to the 16's while at idle or part throttle. That is why I used a wide-band O2 for tuning.
  4. I should be able to make it. Will no better as we get closer to the date.
  5. I want to get a good baseline before I slap the turbo on to see what real gains I get with it. Once I put the Tru Trac on and re-tune since my tune was with the p&p 6.0 heads and I switched to AFR 225's I will go back to the track. This time without a 200+ passenger, lol. After that it is Turbo Time............
  6. Without the 200+ lb passenger and using the Tru Trac and Caltracs for traction do you think I can hit 13.5's? The peg leg was really hurting me as I was having to back off the gas to get traction.
  7. I went to the CA Speedway this Saturday and managed a 13.999 @ 95.19 spinning. It was shocking since I did 18.69 on the first run with the street tires, lol. 1st Run on street tires: R/T ....... .384 60' ....... 2.846 330 ...... 8.214 1/8 ..... 12.416 MPH ..... 57.14 1000 ... 15.965 1/4 ..... 18.698 MPH ..... 84.14 I spun the entire way trying to peddle it, lol. 2nd Run on drag radials: R/T ....... .200 60' ....... 1.960 330 ...... 5.685 1/8 ...... 8.861 MPH ..... 76.94 1000 ... 11.637 1/4 ..... 13.999 MPH ..... 95.19 I spun a little on take off but it grabbed traction quickly and took off. I had a passenger with me that weighs 220lbs. Track officials told me not to take him any more since I ran faster than 14. 3rd Run on drag radials: R/T ....... .597 60' ....... 2.454 330 ...... 6.836 1/8 ..... 10.149 MPH ..... 74.60 1000 ... 12.999 1/4 ..... 15.412 MPH ..... 93.39 I spun and kept fighting it the whole way. 4th Run on drag radials: R/T ....... .223 60' ....... 2.224 330 ...... 6.042 1/8 ...... 9.276 MPH ..... 75.72 1000 ... 12.097 1/4 ..... 14.494 MPH ..... 94.01 I spun through first a little but was ok from 2nd on. Last time out at the track my best was 15.5 and a worst of 16.0 with a bone stock 5.3L with just tranny mods. This time a had a low cr 408 and a 2600 stall tc. I dynoed 250hp and 290tq last but switched heads(P&P 6.0 vs AFR 225's) to increase cr a bit from 8.0:1 to ???(8.8 I think). It was spinning just one tire so next mod will have to be some sort of posi unit. Which one is the best?
  8. Congrats. You duplicated my times from Saturday to the thousandths.
  9. Are you going to line up at 6am or do you want to meet at the Jack in the Box at 6am?
  10. My buddy Jerry just ran an the following time in his '05 Hemi: 60' 1.521 330 4.501 1/8 7.095 Mph 94.44 1000 9.359 1/4 11.294 Mph 115.77 It has a built 6.4L(392ci) Hemi with a Paxton blower running 15PSI and a small shot to cool the intake charge since he does not run an intercooler. Here is the vid:
  11. Actually, Ford rates their injectors at 39.15 PSI. This quote is from the 2008 Ford Racing Catalog "All injector flow rates are quoted at a delta pressure of 39.15 psi. To convert to a delta pressure of 43.5 psi, multiply flow rate by 1.054." Here is the link showing some Ford Cobra injectors that people call 39lb injectors but they actually flow more at 43.5 PSI: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_...rtKeyField=5941 Also, Dodge rates their injectors at 4 bar(58 PSI) because their fuel systems run at that pressure. You are right though "most" "aftermarket" companies rate their injectors at 3 bar(43.5 PSI).
  12. He meant 75lbs at 4 bar(58 PSI) which is about what 60lb injector are in our trucks since we run 58-60 of fuel pressure.
  13. He does not open it up because he wants someone to bite and pony up for a money race, lol. It had done 10.2 with no spray down south.
  14. If you remember the names and/or phone numbers post them up as the headers are done so I need to pick them up and have them coated ASAP.
  15. Don't know if they are the new or old style? What is the difference between them, how can I tell? I bought them about a year ago and only used them once. I though the '06 model had a choice of 2wd or awd.
  16. Where is the best place in CA to get some headers ceramic coated? They need to handle extreme heat because of the turbo.
  17. Art, you can borrow my dr's. If I go I will take them with me if not maybe Reynaldo can pick them up and meet with you. BTW, is your '06 RWD or AWD? P.S. I have MT 28-11.5-16 mounted on stock chevy 16's. Also, if I go I am definitely down for a BBQ.
  18. I have a 6.1L Hemi stroked to a 392ci(6.4L) with a nice cam ready to go if you want to put a little more get up and go in that SRT.
  19. Are your referring to Sergio Avendano. Ask him if he know who "El Colas" is, lol.
  20. I don;t have any pics but you can see it better in this video: http://s47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/SRT...80131223510.flv
  21. If you are referring to my truck then it is a "400 SS" since that is how it was made at the Chevy plant and that is how it was sold at the Chevy dealer. I believe they were sold in Mexico and the Bahamas and maybe a few other countries. They are basically a "Sport" package with a 5.3L step side bed. Mine now has a 6.0L block bored/stroked to 6.7L(408ci). If you want to transform your truck you can buy the "400 SS" stickers at your local Chevy dealer, lol. The 400SS stickers are GM part #15788027. The video of the truck I posted is a RCSB Silverado with a turbocharged 408ci(6.0L block) with SS body cladding. BTW, what makes the SS different then the VHO?

    Not Happy

You can't win them all. At least you lost to another Silvy.
