  1. this time of year mine runs a constant 179* to 182* on the highway Jesse. it jumps up alittle from the 184* to 195* range in the city, but the only time I've seen 210+ is when I have been low on coolant. damn leak! I've noticed that even when I am alittle below the cold level line on the reservior my temps climb into the 200's...
  2. voted! although Red Chevy SS did make me do a double take.
  3. there was a link on here from a while back with the actual GM part number. if you want the OEM decal, just bring your VIN number to a dealership and they can locate the part number. I would search this site though first. there are links with templates for the SS emblem placement and that might also have the part number. when did chrome emblems and my current painted ones, I used the silveradoss.com decal and the silverado is alittle too small for my liking but I did go that route until I find an alternative in the color I want.

    New S***

or do you ever pass thru Salem and Lynn?? there's a truck in that area that looks alot like yours.
  5. just when you think you've heard something that blows your mind, something else comes along and completely throws you for a loop. this is just plain f'd up. i understand the father being pissed off but man, to go to that level.... i'm at a loss.
  6. chaulk up one more Silverado 55 to the list. I was at work and driving through Salem, MA the other day during a torential downpour (so no pics) and I saw a black 4x4 with the "55's" on the doors and tailgate (wrong side). They were so sloppily placed too. no uniformity to the placement of the pieces and each one was upside down. as I was typing, I remembered a true SS that I saw in the fall and one door had the "55". must have been an accident victim.
  7. you could get there a day early and drink at Applebee's and then sleep in the backseat of the truck..... the sweet rumble of all the other trucks showing up could be your alarm clock. just sayin'.....
  8. Happy Birthday Steve and everyone else!!
  9. he said he bought it at auction so I'm guessing it was a theft recovery hense all the stripped parts and the half-ass replacements. Like it was said before, the VIN should tell more...
  10. you sir, took the words right out of my mouth.
  11. Can't believe it took this long for me to see this. That came out sweet Brad!! Would make a great garage banner. eBay had one awhile ago that I wish I bought. Of course the question is, if he does make them (and they are custom for our trucks), do I have a pic that I feel is worthy? Hmm....
  12. I'm trying to think if you mentioned anything the other night at the body shop. I don't think so. But if you are planning on something before the 10th, I'm thinking of a couple of things you might need a tune for.
  13. great work. how are are the solenoids working?
  14. what are you looking to get a GB for?
  15. that's f'd up man. GOOD LUCK!!!
  16. wow man. that sucks!! sorry to see and hear that!
  17. that might be the cleanest truck I've seen!! the mats look like Lloyd Mats. I gotta get a new set, my driver's side is pretty worn. http://www.lloydmats.com/logos_chevy.htm
  18. why do you assume they are celebrating??? maybe one or two of them is anti-birthday. Happy Birthday guys!!
  19. When I bought my truck a few years ago, it came with a set of 22" black Alloy Technologies AT950 rims. Over the last couple of years, when I have made the swap from my snows to my summer rims, I have managed to lose 2 of the center caps. One took off while driving and the other snapped behind the set screw. I have been searching for caps to replace these without any luck. If anyone knows of any or can assist in a search, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Keith
