I'm not sure i'd give the SS up for a VHO. VHO's are nice trucks, just as nice as the SS's but still. Just sell it and buy another SS if you think the one you have was built on a Friday......

Well, I mentioned it another post but i'm starting with the exhaust. I"m doing twin Flowmaster Super 40's with flat black angle tips in front of the rear wheel. CAI and Tune will come later (probably around spring) as it's time to start catching up on some boat mods.

Scenario: Jack pulls into school parking lot with rifle in gun rack. 1973 - Vice Principal comes over, takes a look at Jack's rifle, goes to his car and gets his to show Jack. 2006 - School goes into lockdown, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers. ++++++++++++++++++++++ Scenario: Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school. 1973 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up best friends. Nobody goes to jail, nobody arrested, nobody expelled. 2006 - Police called, SWAT team arrives, arrests Johnny and Mark. Charge them with assault, both expelled even though Johnny started it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Scenario: Jeffrey won't be still in class, disrupts other students. 1973 - Jeffrey sent to office and given a good paddling by Principal. Sits still in class. 2006 - Jeffrey given huge doses of Ritalin. Becomes a zombie. School gets extra money from state because Jeffrey has a disability. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Scenario: Billy breaks a window in his father's car and his Dad gives him a whipping. 1973 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college, and becomes a successful businessman. 2006 - Billy's Dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy removed to foster care and joins a gang. Billy's sister is told by state psychologist that she remembers being abused herself and their Dad goes to prison. ACLU files class action lawsuit against state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English banned from core curriculum. Pedro given diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he can't speak English. +++++++++++++++++++++ Scenario: Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the 4th of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle, blows up a red ant bed. 1973 - Ants die. 2006 - BATF, Homeland Security, FBI called. Johnny charged with domestic terrorism, FBI investigates parents, siblings removed from home, computers confiscated, Johnny's Dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again. +++++++++++++++++++++ Scenario: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary, hugs him to comfort him. 1973 - In a short time Johnny feels better and goes on playing. 2006 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. And THIS is progress??

I"m thinking about doing two Flowmaster Super 40's, with both coming out on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. I'm gonna change it up a bit and not use any tips. I"m just going to have alumined pipe ran out the side with angle cuts pointing outwards (like a Nascar), then i'm going to paint them flat black for an old school look. Hopefully i'll be having it done next Saturday. BTW, does anyone on here know what the Flowmaster Super 40's sound like on our trucks or in general?

There's another color besides black?? Seriously, black is alot of work but if you keep it up it is sexxxaay!! I don't know if I can really pin point it or not, but black has always been my favorite color on a vehicle.......hell it can make a KIA look good.

The only two things I can find is the EQ and DSP settings...... The DSP settings are a joke and no matter how many times I adjust the EQ, it doesn't sound any better. thanks for the reply...

I see......I had that on my '70 Camaro but when on a gravel or dirt road it was BADDD NEWS. I'm thinking i'm just going to move the tip up in front of the real wheel. Thanks for all the responses.....

I just had an Eclipse AVN-5435 installed in my truck. I'm still running the stock bose set up for the sound. My problem is this.........with the factory deck, the Bose sounded a million times better than it does now with my aftermarket unit. The clarity is definitely still there, but the volume is shiat!!!! The installers were no help on this one, they said if anything that the aftermarket should make it sound better. My question......is there a factory amp for the Bose system? Is it possible that it would have gain controls on it that would fix my problem? If not, is there something the installers could've done wrong?? It's really bad, the volume goes up to 80 on the new deck and at 65 or 70, it should sound as strong and as loud as the factory deck did turned almost all the way up. On this new deck, at a volume setting of 70, it sounds MAYBE about like it did with the factory deck turned a little over 1/4 of the way up. Ideas?? Suggestions?

Are they bigger than the stock ones?? If so, will this result in better braking? The stock braking power on these trucks is crap!
