what kind of a question is that? if you live in a place where it snows often a 2wd no matter what kind isnt going to get any kind of decent traction in snow condtions , having a light rear and all your power coming from it does not help. so if you can try not to drive the 2wd if you know your going to have to have go through snow, or bring chains. I have only had the truck since June, so snow driving experience with my SS is a big zero. I have already purchased the ShurTrax bed weight system and I hope that it helps. I wish my SS was AWD but that wasn't an option for '06. Fortunately, up here in NY we are having one of the warmest winters on record. With the bed weight and traction control I think I will be OK in the snow.

Drive it like you stole it dude!! I have a heavy foot, and get 11-13mpg around town and 14-17mpg on the highway, depending on how far over the speed limit I go.......................

have not had any snow here in NY yet.... My SS is my daily driver and will be driven in the snow if we get some this year.

nice videos dude, but that Cobalt SS should have reeled you in. Also, if the first guy wants his cavalier to have the ricer tuner image (i.e. CF hood), he should ditch those crappy factory 14" plastic wheel covers for something nicer.................

This has done well by me... I did an AEM Intake, Superchips programmer and swapped out my exhaust can. Runs 14.6 in 1/4 which is slowmotion compared to Chase or Chris but wins just about every stoplight to stoplight encounter you will have for less than $1000.00. Kind of the Dub-T approach to performance. I hear that man, I have K&N CAI, Hypertech tune, and GM Perf. Parts exhaust, really woke up the performance. Well, performance on a budget, this truck was expensive..........................

Yes that is the kit I have.....and the tip is number 17802143. The drone is not bad, a nice mellow tone that is pleasant to listen to other than your stereo. GM does not have a touring system for the SS because the SS comes with the touring system from the factory. You won't be sorry with the mean growl of this kit. Dan

I agree, make it a habit to hit that button when you are gonna race. I even hit it when I am going to merge at WOT. I would rather bake the tires that get slammed by another car because the Traction kicked in.

my only saving grace would be if he broke traction and I hooked up right away. Ah, who the hell knows. Lets just see what happens in the future.

You will loose even if he sucks at driving. yeah I have a feeling that I will be playing catch up.

smash the piggy bank---making your SS faster can get expensive depending on what you do. I would start with a CAI, Cat-Back, and a tune. Good luck on your choices.
