  1. I'm thinking about moving on to something else. What do you guys think I could get for my truck as it sits? Motor Mods are in the sig. The seats are great besides normal wear and tear on the driver seat. Odometer read 79,xxx and the body is straight. Heres a few pics. And yes those are VHO rims.
  2. 75 yr old woman didnt yield in heavy traffic and scrapped down the side of my truck a year after I got the truck.
  3. Steve is almost entirely correct in what he wrote about my truck. Some things he isnt correct on is that I run with my 20s at the track, and I do have a hidden hitch but no spare tire. I open my cutouts and have no cats so its pretty much open headers. The day the he was refering to at ennis I did not have a converter and my best pass was 14.209 with Tune, CAI, & Headers (that to is really quick for the mods). I ran my 13.7 at Temple Academy Raceway. When the temps were aroun 60 and low low humidity about 1 in the afternoon. Maybe its just because my Tune is that badass, I think Charlie Wheatley is the Best Tuner around hands down. Maybe I' just getting lucky on my times, but my truck has done 13.8 at least 5-10 times. Cam is next on the list, so i guess we will see if its for real then.

  5. I ran that time in full street gear. Did take out my headling, but everything else was left on. I like my really loose/small/skloppy converter
  6. Like I said. This one was stock, the year IDK. I stock lightning does not impress me at all, but neither does a stock SS. And I raced him on a city street. got up to 80 and cut it off because the speed limit was 35. Anyone else woulda done the same thing. I give credit to the L guys that mos their trucks up and make them 12 second trucks, thats badass. But I guess this guy needs to learn how to drive or something. Im sure he would have caught me we were on open highway, but we werent.

  10. Welcome to the club. My speedo sticks, then it will fix its self. I dont worry bout it to much.
  11. Go Custom Tune. Programmers are a waste of money. There is a guy in Houston who did my tune who is nothing short of spectacular. His website is gowheatley.com Check him out. And hes cheaper than a programmer, you could give him a call with any questions you have, he is very friendly.

  13. It is weird isnt it? But im not lying. I have only hit the 1.88 in my 60 ft time once. it was when I ran my 13.7. I have hitten 1.9xx every time since my stall. Its really consistant. I need to get some of my runs on video tape. We are 500 foot about SL. I do get about 8-10 mpg in town and 18-20 on the highway. Most of my driving is highway.
  14. Maybe you do have a tight conveter. Mine is a 9.5inch converter. When I had my stock converter mine didnt launch near that. I went form 14.29 w 2.18 60 ft time to a 13.79 w 1.88 60ft time by just putting in my converter. My girlfriend calls it a rollercoaster ride because it pins you in your seat. As you can see in the vid my truck literaly goes 0-30 in 1-2 seconds. Maybe im just getting lucky with my mods. Alot of people dont believe ive ran a 13.7 but ive got the slips to prove it and have ran 13.8 numerous times. Guess Im just lucky.
  15. If it was running low 13s it wasnt stock. But you have to remember we only ran to 80 mph. Im sure he was pulling on me at that time.
  16. Its "suppose" to be a 2800-3000. But it does flash alot higher. Maybe thats because it is a loose converter.
  17. I give all the thanks to my stall converter. Some people dont like fuddle, but It spools really fast and is a super loose converter. Heres a shot of a 0-60 run brake stalling it. I get to 30 in literally no time at all.
  18. 0-60 they are like 5.4 Ive tested my truck before and it was around 5.1-5.2 Ill post a vid at the bottom of this post. I nkow there base 1/4 time is right around 14.
  19. We went from 25 pmh and were about dead even until 60 or so. Then we went from a stop and I had about 2 lengths on him at 80 mph. Felt really good. Ole Chevy did me proud. It was my 2 lightning race from a dig ever and my second win. They arent all what they are made out to be. Well My Stall helps alot with the AWD. Thats why I can take them so easily off the line. They really arent that impressive to me. The boy in the truck told me that his truck was stock except for a CAI. When he told me that I know that I was going to rape him from the line.
  20. Its all set in my tune and this hasnt happend ever. Had this same tune for about 6 months now.
  21. OK. My stall seems to be working fine now, its locking up and everything like it is suppose to. Something else that is happening. When Im going about 20-30 and I floor it, it drops down in first gear. Sometimes when it shifts to second, my truck falls on its face, almost like it missed the shift. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt. Its been doing more lately for some reason. Does anyone have a clue what that may be? Does it have something to do with my shift kit or what? Its almost like my truck dies for a second than it shifts and goes.
  22. I've been trying to get ahold of john to get a new converter coming. Just not really excited about doing the install. So aslong as it doesnt get above 200 its ok? Is it going to hurt to get on it or anything? Or do I need to drive it easily.
  23. It runs about 200 degrees on the highway right now when the converter is not locking up. It has only been doing it for about a day and a half. So hopefully nothing but the converter is messed up. To play it safe when I chancge the converter I will get my tranny flushed and cleaned out. The PCM has not thrown a code yet.
